Super serene place. Really appreciated the level and properly gravelled site for our trailer. Lots of sky light for solar. Colin delivered water to our site and even offered to fill our fresh water tank, if needed. Also appreciated the detailed instructions on how to find the place and Colin's willingness to meet us at the gate and assist us in finding our site and getting settled.

Tent camping in a HUGE garden was awesome! We could wonder around and pick all the raspberries, blueberries, thimble berries and bing cherries we could stomach. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful! I highly recommend camping at the Doighouse. Susan and her husband as well as the volunteers we met were very kind, polite and hospitable! 10/10!! It was a wonderful experience!

Colin receives a 10/10!! He provides everything needed for a night or several nights of camping. His place is very well organized, clean and QUIET! If you’re lucky, a banana slug will meet you at the out house in the morning! I highly recommend Colin’s sites. He is very kind, helpful and informative of the area!

Paul’s place was well signed and right near to the water! We had our choice of sites after the first night there, we moved over to site 8 from site 6 because it got super windy and I was feeling cold. The outhouse was really well stocked and it was a pleasure to do your business in there! I am definitely returning to this site in the near future!

What a lovely spot. The directions here were spot on. It was quiet and comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

We had a short stay, but it was just what we were looking for: a peaceful, dog friendly spot to park our van for the night and sleep late in the morning surrounded by birdsong. Would definitely stay again!

This was an amazing stay. Recommended to me and it was a beautiful cross between camping and cabin stay!!! Rustic but civilized! Truth be told, the self-contained cabin with sleeping loft appealed to the little girl in me who loved playhouses!! Excellent set up in the main cabin and the separate bathroom cabin. The grounds were amazing and offered a lot of peace and quiet with only a short walk to a well-maintained walking trail through the forest! Susan was an excellent host! Access to pick berries and cherries in the vast gardens! The icing on the cake is the tour of the Doighouse built a la Earthship. Fascinating the ideas and elements that have gone into building it! I look forward to future return visits.

It’s well-furnished inside and out with an outdoor covered, supplied kitchen. Step off the deck and choose your path! If Oyster River is your destination, the nature trail will take you there. Stop along the way for a swim, picnic, paddle, driftwood fort building, maybe try your campfire building skills! Or meander above the shoreline along the driftwood covered shore on one side of you and past acres of distillery farmland and the Oyster River Estuary on your right.
