Join us on our family farm. Our third year hosting, we continue to enjoy hosting travelers from all over. Come join us and relax in the forest. Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. Our newest Site 4 is a bit more open also for vans, campers, and tents, and we have a last-minute available Site 5 for vehicle camping. These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system with great stargazing opportunities. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes. Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight. Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted. Easy access to Mt Washington and Strathcona Park, local beaches, rivers and more.

We have a smaller single campsite for those on bicycle or motorcycle. We have a raised tent pad of 8’ by 12’ to pitch your tent on. It’s located next to a field offering warm mornings and cool evenings. A short walk after dark will provide for great stargazing as we are farther out of town. This is a great option for cyclists travelling north or south on Vancouver Island as it’s near the old highway and headquarters road, popular with touring cyclists.

This and Site 2 are both located on a short spur road. Suitable for smaller RV's including car top tents, trucks and camper, vans or smaller class B under 25 feet. The site is mostly level with gravel surface. If you require a few blocks or such to level your unit we are happy to provide. These sites sit within a younger forest with good shade. Deer are known to wander through the campsites. There is a picnic table for your needs and you will likely be watching a regular flurry of birds in the trees. A short walk after dark will provide for great stargazing as we are farther out of town. A porta pottie and fresh water will be available on site.

Site 5 is our simplest site. We keep it ready for last minute campers in vehicles. Truck Camper, Roof Top Tent, Class B motorhome and Camper Vans are suitable for this site. It's not designed for a tent. Please submit a request for this site, typically for late arrival or early departure, as it will be the least interupting to other campers.

Colin’s hip camp is great. Very clean (including the toilet), and nice Adirondack chairs at each campsite (or table/chairs at walk-in). Colin was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. It’s about 15-20 min from Courtney. Beautiful country roads surround the property.

It had everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful, and having shade throughout the day made it extra comfortable when the sun was out. The location was convenient, close to the bathrooms and water, but not too close. Colin was a great host. We’ll definitely be back!

Great campsite! Can’t wait to be back! Close to town, the lake, the mountain, we had the best of everything in close proximity. The campsite was very well maintained and beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the cows and picking blackberries. Highly recommend!

A tranquil decked space amongst trees to camp on, looking out at the fields. Colin has common amenities thoughtfully setup for all campsites to be comfortable and safe. Very pleasant to chat with him for a bit :)

The owner met us as soon as we arrived. The sites are well manicured, site #1 was only 1” out of level, beautiful scenery. Upon walking our dog on the property we came across six sweet cows who were as interested in our dog as she was in them. Very relaxing and highly recommended!

Colin was a wonderful host and has clearly put a lot of thought into his space. He stopped by our site after we got settled in and shared some intel on local mountain biking and made us feel welcome. If you are coming with a group of people, sites 3, 4, and 5 make a great "bundle" which is what we did, and Colin was flexible in allowing us to park with our friends by sites 4 and 5 (which were very close) since neither of them had large RVs or trailers.

Hidden Gem ! This is a great well run and quiet private campsite. Colin is a fantastic host, excellent communication, and ensured we had everything we needed. Recommend this to anyone looking for a base, or an overnight stop in the area. We will book again.

This was a great place to camp! It’s peaceful, you’re surrounded by nature, and Colin is a kind and responsive host. I enjoyed being off the beaten path, but still close to all the things. I would definitely stay here again! As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. This place is truly a special place to set up camp!

We had a great stay at site 5! It was nice and level for our tent and was fairly private! The sounds of nature and farm animals nearby was very cool. The bathroom was also very clean! Would definitely stay here again!

It was an excellent experience staying at Tyee Valley Farm. Colin is very friendly. Thank you to Colin took care of our camp site during the thunderstorm. The grounds are very clean, Colin keeps the water available all the time. The toilet was very clean. I will definitely stay at Colin's again.

Colin was a great host. Perfect directions how to enter the property and he was always available to answer any question. Fresh jugs of water were provided and there even a porta pottie on site too. Nice level private spots.

We loved tenting there! So peaceful and quiet, the camp sites are clean and spacious and same with the porta potty. Felt super safe and Colin was a great host! He came and checked in on us making sure we were all good and gave us some recommendations to take our dogs for a swim. Amazing experience will definitely be coming back again!

Friendly host, very quiet place. The spot also has pros and cons. Pros: you’re not sleep on the ground, quiet worm. Cons: you can’t secure the tent with pegs so that if it rains you will be wet.
