Join us on our family farm. Our fourth year hosting, we continue to enjoy hosting travelers from all over. Come join us and relax in the forest. Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. Our newest Site 4 is a bit more open also for vans, campers, and tents, and we have a last-minute available Site 5 for vehicle camping. These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system with great stargazing opportunities. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes. Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight. Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted. Easy access to Mt Washington and Strathcona Park, local beaches, rivers and more.

We have a smaller single campsite for those on bicycle or motorcycle. We have a raised tent pad of 8’ by 12’ to pitch your tent on. It’s located next to a field offering warm mornings and cool evenings. A short walk after dark will provide for great stargazing as we are farther out of town. This is a great option for cyclists travelling north or south on Vancouver Island as it’s near the old highway and headquarters road, popular with touring cyclists.

This and site 1 are both located on a short spur road. Suitable for smaller RV's including car top tent, truck and camper, van or smaller class B under 25 feet. The site is mostly level with gravel surface. If you require a few blocks or such to level your unit we are happy to provide. There is a picnic table for your needs and you will likely be watching a regular flurry of birds in the trees. A short walk after dark will provide for great stargazing as we are farther out of town.

This and Site 2 are both located on a short spur road. Suitable for smaller RV's including car top tents, trucks and camper, vans or smaller class B under 25 feet. The site is mostly level with gravel surface. If you require a few blocks or such to level your unit we are happy to provide. These sites sit within a younger forest with good shade. Deer are known to wander through the campsites. There is a picnic table for your needs and you will likely be watching a regular flurry of birds in the trees. A short walk after dark will provide for great stargazing as we are farther out of town. A porta pottie and fresh water will be available on site.

Our newest site, suitable for a roof top tent, van, or tent and car. Gravel surface is approx 30 by 15 with a small table and chairs for cooking and relaxing at. Being a bit more open this is a great spot for stargazing.

Site 5 is our simplest site. We keep it ready for last minute campers in vehicles. Truck Camper, Roof Top Tent, Class B motorhome and Camper Vans are suitable for this site. It's not designed for a tent. Please submit a request for this site, typically for late arrival or early departure, as it will be the least interupting to other campers.

Colin went out of his way to be the best possible host when I messed up my reservation! Tyee Valley Farm is such a hidden gem and we will be staying again! It was quiet, clean, and the campsites were lovely. I would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed our night at Tyee Valley Farm! It's so quiet and peaceful. We brought our C-class motorhome (in Site C) and, even though there was another site close by, we still felt that we had privacy. It was nice to meet Colin and see the cows peacefully grazing nearby. Really nice space for very reasonable value.

Awesome, chill spot from which to explore The Comox Valley. We stayed five nights and mountain biked, hiked, and checked out mt Washington as well as places to eat in Cumberland and Courtenay. Colin has put together a perfect mini campground with his design, details (picnic tables, tent platform) and basic amenities (portapotty, water) that level it up for me. Gorgeous area, lots of birds, trees, pastures and distant sound of farm animals. Colin was super friendly and accommodating— making it easy for us to stay 5 nights when we’d only initially planned for two.

This was our second year camping at Tyee in site 2 and we loved it just as much as we did the first time! Perfect place to unwind and relax. Colin is an amazing host and always responsive to questions or concerns. We will hopefully see you again this year!

It was a nice, quiet spot to relax, but also close by to drive into Courtenay/Comox and Cumberland. Lots of various trails in the area too, which was great for exploring with the dog. The site was tidy and well maintained.

We stayed at Colin's property for one frosty night in January. The site was easy to locate and get situated even in the dark hours of our arrival. Come morning we discovered a beautiful forest and marsh space with many ponds. Wild birds were warming up in the morning sun as we had a quick breakfast before heading out. The space was perfect for a private & safe stay among nature.

Colin’s hip camp is great. Very clean (including the toilet), and nice Adirondack chairs at each campsite (or table/chairs at walk-in). Colin was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. It’s about 15-20 min from Courtney. Beautiful country roads surround the property.

It had everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful, and having shade throughout the day made it extra comfortable when the sun was out. The location was convenient, close to the bathrooms and water, but not too close. Colin was a great host. We’ll definitely be back!

Great campsite! Can’t wait to be back! Close to town, the lake, the mountain, we had the best of everything in close proximity. The campsite was very well maintained and beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the cows and picking blackberries. Highly recommend!
