Join us on our family farm. Fall is approaching and our first three sites will close Sunday Sept 17th. For self contained vehicles looking for an off season stay, please message us and we can see how we can provide a spot. We have begun work on our next expansion, and next spring will be happy to open our additional campsites for ten total sites. Bookings are open for stays beginning May 1st, 2024, weather permitting. In the meantime, we have our first few sites open to let you join us and relax in the forest. Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans and similar. We have a tent pad site as well for cyclists or motorbikes. Small trailers up to 16 feet may be usable, but access may be tight. Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted. Easy access to Mt Washington and Strathcona Park, local beaches, rivers and more. We are open for camping till September 30th and will close until April 1st, 2024.

We were so lucky to spend our weekend on Colins land and enjoy the quietness of the countryside. We LOVED hearing all the farm animals around us every so often and some really amazing sleeps. Was also great to have a toilet so close to the campsite. Very clean and tidy and will plan to stay with Colin again for future trips. We brought our little dog and he wasnt overwhelmed with the cattle or birds and squirrels rustling around. It was amazing Thank you

Perfect Cumberland Base Camp & Host
We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Colin's peaceful Tyee Valley Farm site. This is the perfect spot to base out of for mountain biking, hiking, swimming, running and paddling in the Cumberland/Comox/Mt. Washington area. Our Sprinter van was a perfect match to this level, forested and very quiet site. Colin is the perfect host, showing up to greet us with a 5-gallon container of water and enough insider tips on topics ranging from the best Farmers' Markets to the best MTB trails to the best nearby swimming holes. He even set up chairs in the open pasture to better watch the Perseid Meteor shower. Perfect Hipcamp experience (our first) and perfect host!!

Forested Sites in Great Location
Centrally located in the Comox Valley, yet far enough away from the city to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, Tyee Valley Farm makes for a great place to set up a basecamp for local exploration. The sites and grounds are tidy, well thought-out and offer privacy from other campers, while sheltered under the forest canopy. Complimenting the trees are pastoral views, and a small herd of cows wanders throughout their enclosures. Host Colin couldn’t be a nicer guy, happy to provide a wealth of local information on what to see/do. Just a short drive away is a great river swimming spot, an expansive beach, and innumerable mountain biking / hiking opportunities. I wouldn’t think twice about staying again.

Great place to camp
Colin's campsites were a great place to camp! Colin was an excellent host. He brought us a jug of water as soon as we arrived and gave us the "lay of the land". The campsites were clean and quiet. We enjoyed "cow viewing", eating blackberries and dunking in the river nearby. We would definitely camp here again.

Colin’s land was a great peaceful stay, and along the most beautiful farm side road. Colin was incredibly friendly and welcoming and we would definitely stay again!
