Shower and water available in ranch yard water tap is on the south side of the ranch house. Nearby activities include hiking, biking( bike rentals available in town), climbing, fishing, paddling. The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, and excellent restaurants such as the Glacier fire Pizza. Please take the time to read any posted signs regarding rules of the ranch, speed limits, etc, and do not leave a trace. Please bring your garbage, tissues and cans with you. Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off & undercut banks. ATV's are idle in - idle out. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning. Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway. We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas. There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Come camp on a 40-acre parcel backing onto crown land mountains and wake up in front of 10 acres of vineyard and a view of Okanagan Lake! There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from. Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine). Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'. Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :) Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know! Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Peachland is within easy reach of over 200 estate wineries and microbreweries.

The camping spot was spotless. And unlike almost any other campground, public or private, it was LEVEL AND ON A CONCRETE SLAB!!! We didn’t need the power or water but it was all there. Salt Spring Island is a beautiful place!

It was very central to anything and everything you would like to see on the island Travelled with a pet and to the left of Jim’s property you can walk up to a cul-de-sac for quick morning and night walks. Jim was very hospitable and informative on island activities Common area above overlooks ferries coming and going and Mt Baker very cool 👍

Weekend Trip to Maple Tree

My best friend and I visited Salt Spring Island for the first time from Puyallup, WA with my small elderly pup for a long weekend and Jim’s place was the most PERFECT location and set up! We’re obsessed with the island and can’t wait to come back! I was able to charge my Tesla quickly with the electric setup, and it was an added plus with the outdoor fridge to keep our things cold. There’s a clean porta potty and a water spicket to wash hands and dishes. Having the option for a hot shower for a small extra charge was a huge relief after a day spent hiking and biking! Jim is so friendly and laid back, we felt comfortable knowing he was only a text away if we needed anything. He gave us the best map to help us navigate cool spots to check out on the island. We woke up to deer, rabbits and the sound of birds each day, it was so lovely. Definitely make sure you eat dinner on Jim’s balcony at least once - it’s so pretty watching the sun set over Mt. Baker. It was trip we will never forget 💕 We will definitely be back!!!!

Weekend Trip to Blacksmith Landing Eco Camp

Berny and Stuart were extremely gracious hosts - they opened up a site for us last minute during our winter road trip and showed us to it personally when we arrived. They gave us lots of tips on the area as well. The land itself was lovely, all the camp spots seemed to have their own little piece of personality. I've also never seen such well looked after port-a-potties anywhere, they were very comfortable. Thanks Berny and Stuart!

Super beautiful area. Very personable host, who introduced himself and didn’t linger, so we felt like welcome guests. His site was tricky to navigate for exact camping spots when it was dark, but in the daytime it made much more sense. He let us use wood and sticks from the areas around the campground to burn, which was nice.

Great location, quiet and easy access to the moonraker trails. The view of the Purcell mountains was amazing. Clean showers, fast wifi too. The staff was very friendly and helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. Bring bug repellent.

Another season has wrapped up at Blacksmith Landing and I definitely left the camp very emotional! We absolutely love this place. The campground is immaculate, so well taken care of. Every activity you might want to do is close by, more beautiful lakes to choose from than you have time for! The owners are the most hospitable, lovely people (with the best stories!) and the FOOD. Worth the trip on it's own. Our entire family cherishes every weekend here and we can't wait until next season!!!!

We absolutely loved our time at Bernie & Stuart's! They were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we're so grateful they opened up their stunning property to campers, like us. We purchased & were treated to a delicious meal and treats from Bernie. The hike on the property to the breathtaking Kootenay River view was a highlight, as was finding the charming tree book nook. For anyone boondocking, Bernie's "cutest little loo" is a huge plus! We highly recommend staying here!! You will love it!

Weekend Trip to Blacksmith Landing Eco Camp

Bernie and Stuart are such wonderful people. You can really feel and are that they put their heart and soul in running the campground. They waited for us at the gate (as they do for every camper!!) and gave us a warm welcome. In the morning we ordered some home made cinnamon rolls and they were delicious. After that we took a walk towards the campground ridge (about 20mins) and enjoyed the breath taking views of the Kootenay river. We had a blast!
