Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge of 50$ per direction. We've secured exclusive moorage at a private dock in Egmont. This is where you will park. This private parking includes secure gated access, closer proximity to our accommodations, and stunning waterfront surroundings New Dock Location: 6156 Maple Road Gate Code: 7051 (if broken, just open and close by hand) Do not park at the government wharf in Egmont. 130 acres of lush kootenay cedar hemlock forest. A beautiful little spring fed creek flows through the property for about a kilometer which flows year round. The creek is fed by numerous small springs and streams coming out of the hillside on the property and up the mountainside. The forest is very diverse featuring many of the species found in bc as well as wildlife. Enjoy walking several kilometers of roads and paths on this private land. You will also enjoy the complete privacy and peacefulness to be found here. A few minutes up the road is rosebud lake, a hidden gem filled with turtles and other wildlife. Make sure you bring your paddle board or kayak to enjoy this special place. Salmo river and the stunning Pend Oreille reservoir also quite close.

Do you want to get off grid but are too lazy to pack all the things necessary to do so? Look no further! The Fairy House has everything you need to cook delicious meals (plates, forks, cooking utensils, pots, bbq grill with side burner), stay warm (hot tub, instant hot water shower, and wood stove in the house), explore outdoors with your dog companion/s (lots of land with cool mushrooms growing everywhere). We booked The Fairy House last minute and were so stoked to find it fitting our every need: time to disconnect, stars, forest walks, and hot tub time. We have been to Salmo before and love the area. Went to Nelson, hiked near Ainsworth and then sat in the hot springs. Kootenay Lake is always beautiful too, and grabbed some delicious food in Nelson on our last night. I don’t want to miss the absolute beauty of the craftsmanship that is this little house, bathhouse, and outhouse. Seriously, bravo! Thank you for sharing it with others and we hope to come back again.

Wow! What an incredible experience, you can really feel the pure energy and love that went into creating this place. This was exactly the whimsical getaway that we were looking for! I it was so nice being able to have our dog roam the properly off leash, and the cedar hottub and outdoor shower was absolutely amazing! We can't wait to come back in the winter and experience the beauty and cozy vibes again. 😊

1 night at The Fairy House

When you drive in and see the bath house and then the cabin, it really feels like you’ve arrived at a Fairy House! ✨ You’re surrounded by beautiful forest, and the fairy lights strung around create such a magical vibe. Even though it was a hot day, the cabin stayed super cool inside, which felt amazing. Everything was sparkling clean, and the towels were soft and smelled wonderful :D We had a lovely, peaceful time at the cabin. It is so quiet there, and you also have a lot of privacy. The next morning we went to Rosebud Lake for a refreshing swim, and on the way out we stopped at the cute little store and visited the goats across the street. Thanks for the lovely getaway! We would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to The Fairy House

We enjoyed the hand crafted unique cabin in the woods. Our dogs loved to explore the property and had lots of space to run around. The wood operated hot tub was a unique bonus with lots of wood available and a new experience that I would highly recommend. The quiet and off the grid property was very relaxing and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys nature and a little getaway!

Christoph's Fairy Cabin was a quiet sanctuary away from the city. The ambiance was nice and peaceful, and very private. There is a lake about a 5-minute drive down the road, which has clean and clear water and was perfect for paddleboarding. The stars at night are breathtaking and all in all it was a perfect weekend getaway.

Our trip was amazing. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and welcoming - as advertised. Dave and Eli were helpful and went above and beyond with anything we needed, especially when our arrival time was in high tide! Use of the kayaks and paddle boards were a real plus and kept us entertained. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this place if you are looking for the peace and beauty of camping, but in pure luxury!

The cabin was adorable and so clean. Had everything we needed. Nice and quiet, felt private but was close enough to town if we needed anything. The hot tub was wonderful and loved having it covered in the rain. I can imagine this place would be so nice in the winter with snow! Host was really responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with as well. Would stay here again!

This was our third time at Nile Point, and once again it was absolutely perfect. Eli and Dave are wonderful hosts—always welcoming and willing to help with anything you need. This was our first time staying in the safari tent, and it was such an incredible experience. The tent itself is huge with plenty of space, and the balcony overlooking the water made for the perfect evening—BBQing, relaxing, and cozying up by the fire. Nile Point truly is one of my favourite spots, and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Eli and Dave!

Our family of 4 (boys aged 9 and 11) stayed 4 nights in the luxury canvas tent to kick off our summer vacation - terrific experience! The description is completely accurate; a secluded and beautiful spot which you feel you have to yourself (because you do!). Amazing view to wake up to. A protected little bay to paddleboard/swim/kayak in - water in July easily warm enough to swim. The tent itself is exactly like the pictures - clean, comfortable and spacious. Great outdoor kitchen / eating area. And to top it off, Dave and Eli are the most gracious of hosts - friendly and helpful, won't disturb your seclusion, but equally are quick to provide anything if you ask.

Definitely rustic. A mixture of nostalgia for camping and comfort of a hotel. The yurt is so spacious, furnishings comfortable and appliances worked well. We really enjoyed it.
