Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit, and best for people who don't fear cliffs. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet.
The property is surrounded by one other large private lot on one side and some steep crown land on the other. You can explore our lot down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horseshoe (a great swim spot), Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing), Carol Lake, and much more.
All sites are located 150-200 feet away from our main house and share the same outhouse. However, it is unlikely for us to have more than one site booked the same time, so there is ample privacy.
This is a somewhat rustic and rugged spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!

We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off & undercut banks.
ATV's are idle in - idle out.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.
If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. All the details are on my Tamihi Meadows site under "Cabins".

Since we last opened, the goats and chickens have been re-homed. This was necessary during our two-year absence. But no fear, there's lots to do and see if you're the self-motivated adventurer type(s).
Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared up at the main house. Dog-friendly. When navigating to our place, please stay on the paved highway. The GPS may want you to come up the back roads, but don't let it fool you. Unless you really like adventure and have the right vehicle.

The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need.
The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out.
The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.

We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

Our ranch is on Gun Creek Road, close to Tyax Lake, 30 minutes from Gold Bridge and Bralorne. It is about 2 hours west of Lillooet or north of Pemberton (6 hours from Vancouver) on a remote road with paved and gravel sections and no cell service.
There is no cell service or TV at our location. Wi‑Fi is usually available but cannot be guaranteed due to weather and other natural factors outside our control. We have access to a landline if urgent calls need to be made.
You are responsible for leaving the cabin/your room and the area around it clean and free of food and garbage. Each guest is responsible for cleaning the cabins when they leave, such as doing the laundry, washing all dishes. At the end of your stay, please bring all garbage to the main house so we do not attract critters and bears.
We live in a true wilderness environment. The cabin water system uses filtered creek water and, though not common, there is always the possibility for water pressure to fluctuate.
Weather and other variables can change quickly in the mountains. We expect guests to approach challenges with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset and to be respectful of nature, other guests and our team. We are experienced in dealing with nature’s challenges and will find a solution together.

We bought this property in 2008 as raw land with an old off-grid 1950's cabin on it. While the log structure was sound, the cabin needed some major renovations to be liveable. We undertook renovations, lived in it for 6 months and then moved into a yurt on a more accessible section of our property. We now run the cabin as a short term rental, have another small rental next to our house and we are using the yurt for gatherings, retreats and yoga classes!

THIS CABIN IS ACCESSED BY A 0.7 KM HIKING TRAIL ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.
Enjoy privacy and be close to nature at the base of Keystone Mountain. Far enough to feel like you are away from it all, close enough to experience all the Kootenays have to offer.
Campfires are permitted when there is no fire ban. We have firewood available to purchase - please add this as an extra at the time of booking.

Our property is located just outside of Salmo, in the Hub of the Kootenays. 30 minutes from Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Kootenay Pass, and Champion Lakes.

Back 40 offers boutique glamping with canvas bell tents, each equipped with 4 single beds for that extra bit of camping comfort. The exclusive private camp features plenty of roomy Adirondack chairs, firepits, firewood, a central camp kitchen, picnic tables, campstoves, clean outhouses (one without a roof with views galore), a cold-water shower, and bear storage bins to keep your consumables safe and the wildlife wild.
Pets are welcome for an additional $50/dog/booking. Maximum 2 dogs per tent. Service animals are free.
Back 40 is also a center for outdoor learning, with instructors who can get you up-to-speed on how to stay safe and navigate in the wild. They specialize in beginners but can also design a learning program to challenge the experienced. Unwind, reconnect, discover and explore!

We enjoyed our stay at the cozt tiny cabin. Our kids had fun walking on the trails and playing around with the friendly ducks and seeing other farm animals. The washroom is clean and well stocked. We would definitely go back and recommend to our friends

We had an awesome time and loved the remote location. Far away from our busy life and gave us a well needed break. Very peaceful and served as a home base for our adventures during the day. Quiet and relaxing in the evening.

Our stay at the Woodland Cabin was absolutely wonderful! We truly enjoyed the cozy cabin, along with having our own private hot tub and fire pit. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean flush toilet as well.
One of the highlights for our family was the enchanted forest on the property. My daughter and her friend spent hours creating little gardens with the gnomes and whimsical garden characters, it was such a magical experience for them. The farm animals on site were another lovely touch, and the property offered plenty of private space to relax and enjoy nature.
Despite the rainy weather, we stayed warm and comfortable thanks to the cabin's heaters. We loved sitting by the large glass windows, taking in the beautiful views while enjoying hot chocolate and watching movies on the TV. It was the perfect cozy getaway.
The high-speed Wi-Fi was excellent and allowed me to work without any interruptions, which was a huge bonus.
A special thank you to Michael, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. From the moment I started looking into booking, he patiently answered all of my questions, was highly responsive, and made everything easy and stress-free.
This was my very first cabin stay experience, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing cabin getaway surrounded by nature. We will definitely be returning!

Had such a wonderful stay at the cabin! The farm was absolutely beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax. We loved being around the animals — the horses, dogs, and chickens made the experience even more special. The cabin was cozy, and the whole place had such a lovely atmosphere. Michael was incredibly welcoming and kind, which made us feel right at home. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Oceans Edge Eagle Retreat
Tina was very kind. They chopped wood for us and made sure we were fully stocked. The site was comfortable and quiet.
Beautiful sunset just a short walk away.
They had a lot of seating and lots of fire pits.
The communal cooking area had quite a bit of cooking equipment including a bbq, a propane stove top, a sink and some cooking utensils.
We would definitely come back.

We arrived just as the Friday market was getting started and enjoyed the strawberries and veggies we bought from Sue, who was a welcoming host. We loved the cabin with 3 adults. Very private and quiet place. No problem driving up to the cabin and parking F150 truck. Plenty of firewood and axe provided by Darcy. Thoughtful little lanterns outside and lit bathroom area. Highly recommend

Loved staying in Paige's Tiny Homes! We were there with our two kids and fit quite comfortably. The kitchen has just enough of what's needed and the patio with hammock and propane fire pit was lovely. Super gracious host and Gabriola is the best. Only piece of advice is that if you're sleeping in both tiny homes, only the bigger one has heat, so bundle up. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!!

Weekend Trip to theDoighouse Earthship
Our stay in the Maple Cabin was very comfortable. A nice double bed with cotton sheets and a down duvet kept us perfectly warm and cozy. Susan was very kind and communicated well. She greeted us and showed us around the gardens and facilities when we arrived. It was the perfect jumping off point for our day trip to Qualicum Beach, Cathedral Grove, Tofino and Uclulet!

Weekend Trip to Flyway Farm & Forest
We stayed at the 79 vintage comfort trailer during the May long weekend. The trailer was pretty cozy and clean, it had a heater which kept us warm at night.
Bernhard is very welcoming and helpful host. He supplied us with fresh firewood, and shared some interesting stories and history about the place.
Overall, very peaceful place, away from the city noise, it has great views and great company (Bernhard and his super cute dog Juni)

We had a lovely time at Flyaway Farm and Forest! Bernhard was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The view from the trailer is amazing. I would recommend bringing warm clothes, slippers and sleeping bags as the nights were a bit chilly even with the heater going in the trailer.
