The Best Hipcamp Ever
I had the pleasure of camping at Old World Village in O’Halloran Hill, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Helem and her father, who went out of their way to make us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. Helem generously offered us fresh water and delicious tomatoes, while her father even joined us for a cup of coffee—such a kind gesture that truly made us feel at home.
The site itself is absolutely stunning, brimming with history and tradition, and you can sense the immense potential this place has. Its location is perfect—just a short drive from the center of Adelaide, yet peaceful and serene, providing a perfect retreat. And on top of all that, it’s very affordable! I highly recommend camping here to anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming experience.

Old World Village at O'Halloran Hil
We loved our stay, we actually stayed for another night making four nights. Hosts very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure. So close to the city was exactly what we needed. Hotel is next door one side and fuel station the other, in other words perfect, with gate locked at the front for security.. thank you Helen 😊

Old World Village at O'Halloran Hil
We were taken aback by where we chose to park but completely in awe at the raw beauty of the historical 1830s buildings on site. Helen is a wonderful host and to listen to her explain the past history of the buildings and then be enthralled by the work she is doing on the buildings and her vision is amazing. I will make an effort to come back here in a couple of years to see the transformation of Helen’s hard work. This site is close to the city and at a great price. Also happy to meet Helen’s parents.

Old World Village at O'Halloran Hil
Loved our time there, we stayed 2 nights and just loved the old buildings and meeting Helen and then her parents had us for coffee on Sunday morning. The nicest people you will ever meet. Definitely come back. Cheers Kay
