Primitive camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or water at this Hipcamp.

We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, 2 cafes, 2 restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can camp anywhere on the property except on the airstrip. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

Idyllic camping

Ross showed us around on arrival, there were so many nice sites to choose from. Although there were 5 other campers, it was easy to find a secluded site with beautiful views. The site was flat and grass mown, it was perfect.

Great isolated camp spot

Great isolated hide away on rural property perfect for the easy getaway. Perfect maintained flat camp spots available. Plenty of space and no designated sites. Fire pits provided which was handy. Will stay again. Will be the perfect winter getaway around a fire. No main road or traffic noise. Not much signage so entry is a bit hard to navigate.

Amazing weekend.

PlayStation is a beautiful property in a perfect location situated 20 mins from Hat Head, South West Rocks and Cresent. The property is perfectly maintained and has beautiful views of grass paddocks, cows and a beautiful dam to camp around. It’s not only a perfect hub if you want to jump in the car and explore, if you feel like just staying put and relaxing by the camp fire. Its a perfect spot to kick your legs up and enjoy the view. The golden hour is like nothing else there!☀️ Your host Ross is an absolute legend and could not be more helpful, friendly and accomodating. Will definitely be back again! 😄
