Excellent Trout Fishing in large dams on property. Rainbow and Brown trout stocked in both dams. Good sized fish. Old , Rustic Bush Hut at main campsite which has verandah, wooden floor, and can be used for sleeping in or as general purpose area. Excellent yabby dams on property for the kids and adults who want to do some yabbying. Also eels in a another couple of dams on property, so it certainly has something for all anglers. 550 acre property which has 3 different seasonal creeks flowing through it. Six excellent hideaway Camping sites to choose from. Some close to the water. Large sites which can handle 40 campers per site. Good areas of bushland and also a working sheep farm. Very private areas for camping. Campfires available but only in months when fire restrictions are not in force. A wide range of birdlife and duck life, wildlife including kangaroos, possums, echidnas. In wet weather you may need a 4 wheel drive vechile to access some of the sites. You will need to bring all your camping gear as these are tent and vechile sites only. We dont have any huts at this stage. 30 minute drive to Ballarat, 45 Min Geelong, 2 minutes drive to the village of Elaine and The Farmgate Shop which is open 7 days a week with a full range of all groceries, bbq needs, drinks, snacks, etc. 5 minutes to dollys creek, 5 minutes to Mt Doran/Lal Lal, 10 minutes to Meredith. Its a hidden gem. We are happy to take your booking. Sorry strictly no dogs allowed.

We had the best time tent camping over the long weekend and will definitely be back in the future! Jana was an incredible host, providing clear instructions, firewood and even towing both our cars out on the last day! If there’s been rain or rain is predicted I would recommend having 4WD access at this site however Jana came to the rescue towing us out and making sure we got home safe! Toilets and a sink to wash your hands were a bonus too and always clean and stocked with toilet paper. Thanks again Jana, your property was beautiful and your hospitality put a cherry on top of a great weekend.

Gorgeous site right by the lake! Beautiful scenery on a clear sunny day, have some patience with the fishing, they are in there jumping around, we didn't catch any but was great for relaxing during the long Cup weekend. Mark was a great host showing us both sites and giving us the freedom to set up camp wherever we wanted. We had fantastic weather until it rained, then it was a bit treacherous driving and towing out of the muddy paddock (take it slow and steady), best to stay when the weather is forecasted or certain to be dry

Lovely quiet spot, secluded but with a dam, and a winter running creek. Sound of sheep and magpies and little else. Mark let us use the tin shed and we slept in there instead of erecting a tent. Plenty of wood around for a fire. Not too distant from Meredith and the Brisbane Ranges.

the spot was very lovely, and a great distance from any local towns. it feels far away enough to be isolated but also just 20 minute drive if you wanna grab some food or supplies. jana is also a great host and very personable and friendly. would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time camping at Yarra. The place feels calm and close to nature — the perfect escape from busy life. Although it’s part of a berry farm, the farms are nicely scattered across the landscape, so it never feels like you’re inside one. Our campsite was well away from the farm sections, giving us great privacy and a real sense of solitude. A special mention to Janaka, the manager, who was incredibly welcoming and always available if we needed anything. He dropped off a huge pile of firewood for us and took the time to share his knowledge about the local wildlife and how the farm operates. His hospitality really made the experience even better. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly place surrounded by beautiful nature — perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with the outdoors. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and peaceful location! Jana was a great host and kindly showed us to our site. We had the place to ourselves apart from wallabies and wombats. It was great to allow our dog off lead and we loved exploring the huge site. We used the plumbed toilets up at the main farm building, and also had a tap there to refill our water. We would definitely come back again.

A peaceful and quiet campsite, immersed in nature, big and feeling private. The site is more beautiful than the photos you see on Hipcamp. My dog loves running freely to explore and enjoy her best life😄. The pond/lake and the creek are the highlights! Surrounded by berry bushes, it’s winter so no berries or leaves yet but I can imagine how beautiful when it’s summer 😁 Only one hour from south east suburbs , nice weekend getaway.

Lovely location with a beautifully open and secluded area that has a mystic foggy view in the morning (I went in August). It was my first time camping with my partner and was struggling with the fire with the dampness but Jana helped us with such positive attitude. So so grateful, we would love to visit again sometime!

Lovely hipcamp! Jana was a great host, moved us to Platypus site as we were concerned about the wet ground and no 4wd- what a beautiful spot! So much amazing nature, very peaceful and private - previous reviews mention it being on a slope which much of it is, but we found an easy flat spot for a large tent just fine. The free firewood and fire pit made the bitter winter night much easier - must remember to come back in summer to get the kayaks out on the lake. Great location too, near enough to Yarra Valley spots and Dandenongs but still feels off the beaten track. Just note if you’re driving from the south (Peninsula) that directions take you the wrong way up Eacotts Road to a dead-end - make sure to follow written instructions to find the junction on the booking.

Mark's land was exactly what we needed to celebrate my dad's birthday. Mark was courteous enough to warn us about the wind the morning of our arrival. Regardless, the wind didn't stop us from making the most of his land which only got better the following days as the sun came out and the wind settled. No fish this time but we'll be sure to come back and try again. Thanks Mark for a great stay.

It is a beautiful property, the kids caught a massive trout. Unfortunately the winter weather was not on our side and it rained most of the weekend. We will definitely come back for another round during the warmer months.
