Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. The site contains trees for shade and space to spread out. Find a suitable spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper. Sit back and relax by the fire pit under a magnificent sky, watch the wildlife or go for a walk in the adjacent forest. No motorbike riding is allowed on the property but there is the opportunity for riding the fire tracks in the adjacent forest. You can also use the property as a base for your adventure in the local region. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road. This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area. We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. Well-behaved dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not interfere with the other animals. Maximum two dogs allowed. A flexible check-in/out time can be arranged upon request. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit when there are no fire restrictions. BYO wood as no firewood is to be collected off the property. Thank you

We had the loveliest stay at Ginny & Garry’s campsite. This was a very spacious & secluded campsite, a little drive away from the others. The property is very well looked after & Ginny was so lovely & accomodating. They have thought about everything you may possibly need from free firewood to a kiosk full of items you may need during your stay from ice, to milk, to jam & eggs and the list goes on. There’s also two showers, a kitchen and toilets. Everything is very accessible! If you’re staying at corner camp, you’ll need to drive down to this area which worked out fine for us. We had the most delightful time camping here & we’ll definitely be back!

This place is an absolute gem! From Ginnie, to the camp site, to the honey they sell, everything is fantastic. The campsite is isolated but only a couple hundred metres from the toilets and showers. The amenities block is perfect with drinks/food to buy at great prices and the water is steaming hot in the showers. Ginnie was so lovely and friendly! We will 100% be back!

Our kids loved feeding the farm animals. Overall an amazing experience, will be coming back and bringing friends with us to experience it :)

Absolutely SENSATIONAL. Perfect weekend away. 10/10 for everything 4 of us went away with my reactive dog and Matine could not have been more warm, welcoming and accomodating to us! It can be tricky not knowing where we’re camping with Bruce but he was having the time of his life and so we’re we! The sites are far enough apart that you really do feel like you’ve got your own secluded spot for relaxing and really soaking in all of the nature that surrounds you. Amazing place to stay, really private, sheltered with plenty of shade as well as sun. Right next to the river with a lovely big pebble beach area. Picnic table, hot shower and nice clean toilet, hammock, fire pit, some cooking facilities, deck chairs on the beach area, fresh lemons (seasonal). Both myself and my dog loved our stay here, it would also be good for larger groups but I loved having it all to myself.

Our family stayed the weekend and had a fantastic experience! We were warmly greeted by the friendly host and her lovely dog, which made us feel welcome straight away. The campsites were spacious and peaceful, with plenty of room to spread out! The creek was absolutely gorgeous- crystal clear and such a beautiful spot. Plenty of wildlife too! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway. There’s also a glamping tent for anyone wanting more luxury. We can’t wait to return in warmer weather to truly take advantage of the stunning creek. The only area for improvement would be the toilet block which could do with a tidy and stock up, but this certainly didn’t change our experience overall and we’d definitely return!

We loved camping at Glenmaye Farm. We booked the Highside Family site for 9 people, plenty of room for big tents (we had a couple 10 person tents which fit with all the rest of our cars and tents around). Compostable toilet system nice a simple. Walking up the paddock, we got an amazing view of the whole area. Swimming in the river/waterfall was so nice, plenty of different little pool areas along the river. Walk from our campsite (the furthest?) was less than 15mins, required climbing up some rocks and along fallen trees but was simple to navigate. Nice to not feel like we were on top of other groups, as the sites were spread out. Matine greeted us and showed us around the property and our site. Overall a great spot!

Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful river setting. Plenty of bird life to see and hear. Lucky to spend half an hour watching a platypus feed. Fire every night. Michael gives clear directions. Warmly welcomes. Has a list of things to do, places to eat, wineries etc in the area. He is proud of what he offers, has plans to make you feel even more spoilt. Walk or ride to town.

Where to go

Warby-Ovens National Park

A short distance west of Wangaratta, the Warby-Ovens National Park is a popular spot for walking, cycling, canoeing, and wildlife-watching. It’s home to several ecosystems and contains important bushland, being located in a unique area between the Murray River and the Victorian Alps. There are many campsites to choose from, all unpowered and requiring self-sufficiency but free of charge. You can also visit the Gravel Point-Warby Ovens section of the park, which is north of Wangaratta and also has a couple of campsites.

Mount Buffalo National Park

About 1.5 hours’ drive southeast of Wangaratta, Mount Buffalo National Park is famous for the rock climbing that can be done in its granite peaks, as well as for its waterfalls and winter skiing. Campers can stay at the large Lake Catani Campground, which is suitable for tents, small caravans, and camper vans. While you need to be self-sufficient to stay here, the campsite provides amenities including flush toilets and hot showers.

Alpine National Park

Further southeast from Mount Buffalo, about 2.5 hours’ drive from Wangaratta, is the spectacular Alpine National Park. The rugged area of alpine and subalpine terrain and ecosystems offers great hiking in Victoria’s highest mountains, as well as mountain biking and horseback riding. Campers can find a number of dedicated campsites with facilities throughout the park, and dispersed bush camping—or free camping—is allowed in many places.

When to go

Music lovers might want to visit Wangaratta in November, when the city and surrounding wineries host the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues. This is also a good month for camping and outdoor activities, as it is spring and before the heat of summer arrives, and nearby waterfalls are usually at their best after the winter rains.
