Due to an over demand we require weekend stays during the Summer months November to March to be a minimum two night stay. Guests are required to check in on Fridays, with Friday and Saturday nights as the two night minimum.

Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring the Yarra Valley winery region, the Dandenong Ranges, or some of Melbourne's close regional towns like Healesville, Yarra Glen and Warburton?
We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them.
Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road.
Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets.
We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know.
Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC.
There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you.
We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover.
All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available.
We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available.
We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property.
Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here.
Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided.
It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks.
All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet.
For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam.
Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater.
Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here.

My dog and I camped in our van on Geoff & Amanda’s beautiful property. I could not find one bad thing to say. All facilities are extremely clean and uniquely decorated. I thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of the outdoor bathtub, and building my own campfire with wood already being provided. I wish we stayed longer but we plan to come back ASAP! I will be recommending to friends and family in the mean time.

Such a lovely, serene place to stay, we had it all to ourselves. Private, roomy sites, I enjoyed the outdoor bath and shower, plenty of hot water.
Amanda made sure we knew where everything was and was very welcoming. I would highly recommend Polly’s Paddock and hope we can get back there soon.

Geoff and Amanda’s garden is absolutely gorgeous to wander around - beautiful trees, flowers, water features and feathered creatures. The set up is awesome - private sites, fire pit, camp kitchen, bath & the cleanest HipCamp bathroom I’ve ever seen!! 8min drive to Mt Martha shops for a coffee & beach walk. Perfect weekend away.

Our overnight stay at Puddleduck Farm was short but very sweet! Communication and directions were great and we were welcomed so warmly upon arrival. Amanda and Geoff’s dedication and care in cultivating the property over the decades is evident and we are grateful that they share it with others like us. A tranquil spot for those that wish to be immersed in nature (including a wonderfully hot outdoor shower) with plenty of whimsical touches. We hope to return again soon for a longer stay. Great base for a family camping trip. Only an hour from Melbourne, close to Mt Martha beach, shops, and the rock pools — but quiet enough that we had the whole place to ourselves mid-week.
The grounds are spacious and well maintained, with clean toilets and showers. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. It's a scout camp so there are extra activities on offer (bikes, mini golf, kayaking) — we didn't use them but great to know they're there for families with kids.
Not an off-grid experience, but that's not what it's trying to be. Solid value for an easy getaway.

Damian and Vicky were incredibly kind and friendly hosts. Messaged Damian before the trip to request an early check-in, and he kindly obliged! Vicky also met us at the entrance at the designated time and showed us the site ☺️
The site has some folliage to provide a sense of privacy and a back gate for easy access in and out of the camp site. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away and the local towns take a short 5-10 minute drive to get to. The site has no toilet, but public toilets are walking distance away, so that was no issue even without a designated camp toilet.
The location was incredibly quiet and peaceful, especially at night when you can hear the ambient sounds of the trees, wildlife and campfire crackling.
Highly recommend, especially for anyone looking to camp near the beach. Will definitely be coming back again next time!

What a beautiful outlook over vineyard. Relaxing, quiet and a central place to explore the surrounding Yarra Valley and wineries. Our host , Robert was promptly replied to questions we had. Would highly recommend this camp.

The place was excellent and the kids loved being in nature. They quickly knew the names of all the sheep and goats. The site is excellent for a group and very easy to setup around the fire pit. Would absolutely stay again. Tamara is a great host as well and very accommodating.

Absolutely great stay! Perfect distance from the city, and super close to town if needed. The site is simple but perfect for a large group. We had 6 adults and 7 kids (toddlers and teens) and everyone has such a great time exploring and playing with the small playground. It can be windy so make sure you secure your tent! Will definitely be coming back.

It was a stunning spot, surrounded by grape vines and a short walk to the cellar door. Beautiful, fresh grass and next to a little pond. Quiet spot that we would definitely love to return to!
