We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put.
For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you.
Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for.
A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing.
Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed.
What is available off farm?
Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins.
If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time.
East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area.

If you've always wanted to swim in a waterfall then Minnehaha Falls at Hiawatha is for you. Only 15 minutes by car, the rocky waterfall with it's very own swimming hole will surprise and delight. There is a constant flow of water gushing down the near vertical rock face, into the pool below.

Guests are required to be self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
It's only 2km to Trafalgar town centre and 5 KM to Moe. We are pet-friendly, but please ensure your pet does not bother other campers or local wildlife.
Contained campfires are permitted but can only be lit in designated fire pits. October through May is typically dry, and you may have to disallow fires during this time for safety reasons.
Can't beat the view, isn't that all campers needed? Ultra friendly home, happy to provide a welcome coffee (professional barista quality) to each camper.

For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you.
Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for.
A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing.
Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed.
What is available off farm?
Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins.
If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time.
East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area.

A lovely big open space where you can choose your spot! It is lovely to see the horses and kangaroos in the evenings!
Nice and quiet and yet very local to the Pretty town of Port Albert, with lovely walks and great fish and chips

We stated at this property over night on our way from Melbourne to Merimbula, and it was a beautiful spot. Very few sites, with a large space between them.
We woke up to plenty of kookaburra's and some kangaroo's on the hillside. Would definitely stay again if we were down that way.

Huge big sites, would be great for large groups, amenities are good and clean, shower is hot and has amazing water pressure. Owner is super helpful and quick to respond to questions. There is a rooster who crows loudly at 5.30 but otherwise amazing!!

We absolutely loved staying at this campsite! Amazing views of the hills, spacious and close by to the compost toilets which were always tidy and clean. Our hosts were amazing too, friendly and easy to communicate with, definitely recommend this site.

Lovely sweeping view and away from the other campers. Directions were great and we found our way nicely. Telstra reception was ok, but Optus had none at all.

Absolutely loved our stay at Tony's Mt Alfred property. Tony was friendly, helpful and great communication. Highly recommend a stay here. Telstra and Optus reception. Drop toilet, shower, camp kitchen with the use of a BBQ. Dogs enjoyed it and being able to be off leash in the fully fenced area was fantastic. Thanks again Tony, we will definitely be back.

First class sites on this pristine river. Hospitality and service was top shelf. Bernie freshly mowed the grass, slashed the river access and was most gracious with his time for a chat if that’s your thing.

I loved the peace and quiet, so much space between campsites. Our site had view over wetlands. Love that we could take our dog and have a camp fire. So much nicer than being in a caravan park especially during the school holidays

Absolutely incredible hosts and campsite. Stunning location, lovely family who own the land, in a very private bush setting. Sites were spacious and remote feeling. Close to Tarra Bulga National Park and Woodside Beach. Had an amazing New Years Eve down there with friends. Couldn’t recommend the place enough, go ahead and book!!
