Being lake side was great but there was no flat ground on the site so not premium in that regard. The tree cover was good and amenities were fine. The worst part was the noise after 10pm, both nights we were kept up till midnight and no one enforced the rules to shut them up.

We loved our long weekend at Raymond Island Retreat. It was quiet and peaceful and had our own area to swim and fish. The island itself was very busy so was lovely to have our own area. Our host Dave was very accommodating and meet us when we got there. Would recommend anyone to stay. There is plenty of room, our grandkids were able to play footy, cricket did nature scavenger hunts and we even had a koala in the tree beside us. Thank you Dave for having us stay. Would definitely stay again.

Firstly, Michelle is an exceptional host/caretaker of her land. Genuinely Good Person. The setup allows for space between campers across 2 paddocks, treed and lovely with the gardens. The amenities - camp kitchen offers everything you might need and a nice communal space if you might need to escape the elements, shed toilet, and an ensuite shower and toilet too. Easy off the highway, quiet at night, and the night sky shines through without the bright lights of a caravan park. We ventured to Welshpool - stopped at the Olive Branch coffee shop, most welcoming - and the Long Jetty. Visited Agnes Falls - another magical spot, very nearby, Another day we headed to Tarra Bulga Natl Park, so reminiscent of NZ fern forests. It’s an hour away, very windy roads.

While The Love Shack is a private cabin, perfect for intimate getaways for couples we also offer larger group bookings for extended family / and or friend groups with the need for a normal bedroom/bathroom option. The camping area around the cabin is suitable for tents/vans and can easiliy accommodate larger groups. There are three under cover areas for group camping use :- an outdoor kitchen area with sink, bench space and a full size fridge/freezer, an enclosed pen with an extra BBQ, There is a large covered area with a 100" pull down projector screen (bring your own projector for movie nights and fun). A full set of lawn games is also available. The Shack is a two night minimum stay and sleeps two. Extra guests are welcome in a tents/vans outside at an extra cost per person. Food-producing landscaped gardens with four separate self-contained living areas. Guests are welcome to pick their own salad and herbs and picnic in the gardens! Only seven minutes drive to a quiet beach, boating, fishing and the long jetty. The property is conveniently located within close proximity to Welshpool, Agnes falls, National parks, numerous rivers and a State forest. The assorted accommodation available includes a two bedroom cottage with kids room and cot set up, one King size bedroom with open fire place and two extra single beds with attached camp kitchen, and another King size bedroom with a kitchenette a king single and a trundle bed. Known for their Mountain Ash trees, beautiful fern gullies and ancient myrtle beeches, it has some of the best examples of original cool temperate rainforests of the Strzelecki Ranges. If you've always wanted to swim in a waterfall then Minnehaha Falls at Hiawatha is for you. Only 15 minutes by car, the rocky waterfall with it's very own swimming hole will surprise and delight.
