We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put. For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you. Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for. A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing. Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed. What is available off farm? Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins. If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time. East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area. With easy access to either leave hooked up or unhook, its your choice, you can take the time to unwind near the old hay shed. Utilise the fire pit, or just enjoy a walk to the river through the farm, it's all available to you.

Great location and well laid out with power and water connections. The property was very easy to access towing my 25ft van. Close to Bairnsdale and the lakes around East Gippsland. Peter was a great communicator and everything was as described. Highly recommend.

Grassvale Farm retreat was an excellent location. Clean and well maintained sites, plenty of space, and privacy. Whether waking up to a sunrise, or the cows in the paddock at your doorstep, you’ll love coming to stay at Peter’s farm - we definitely want to come back and stay again in the future!

We really enjoyed the land Peter has ans how welcoming he was to us when we arrived. The area was so clean and tidy an great forbthe kids to play. It is a truly beautiful space. Was hoping to visit on our way home but ended up heading straight home. We hope to stay here again soon. Thanks Peter.

Peter was great to coordinate our stay with. His hospitality was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. it was nice and quiet, and we met some really nice people who were also camping there. We look forward to seeing them again.

We had an amazing stay on the farm. The kids loved going down to the river amongst the cows to fish, and it was such a great place to unwind. Peter and Kaneka were so generous with their time and sharing their knowledge, and we all learned a lot. Thank you so much for having us, looking forward to our next stay!

Great stay with our 2 and 4 year olds in Dec 24. Fabulous to get a farm tour, and so enjoyable to see the kids playing with sticks and the hay Peter was happy for them to play in... It felt like real camping- Old school! We've never packed up our camper trailer so quickly with them so dedicated to their play! 5 sites and an air bnb were nicely located surrounded by cows but secure. Ample space for each. Great to have potable water tap at each site, and a spot for the kids to play in the shade too (basic cover from a hay shed) We spent a half day by the nearby river on our paddle board - a place we wouldn't have found without Pete, which was gorgeous and we had all to ourselves! The other campers were lovely and we enjoyed Peter's fire pit one evening with people from two other sites. Highly recommend, thank you Peter and Kaneka

We had a fantastic stay over Christmas at the farm. Peter was a great host and very helpful and the cows were great neighbours! The farm and country around is very pretty and well maintained. Great location to explore the coast / lakes / towns from. Hope we can visit again in the future! Thanks again

Beautiful relaxing place to stay. Green grassy sites overlooking the farm towards the river. So relaxing sitting under the stars at night around the campfire. Friendly engaging host who is happy to chat or share his knowledge. Definitely worth a stay here.

Our little family stayed for 4 nights and we did not want to leave! From the host Peter and Logan's genuine and caring hospitality to the pristine campsites, beautiful scenery and the experience to sit in amongst their herd of cows, this was truly a grounding and wholesome visit. Sounds too good to be true but definitely a must to visit if you are in the area!

Wonderful relaxing place to stay looking over the paddocks towards the river. Peter was an excellent host, very welcoming, willing to share his local knowledge and even cooked us dinner one night. He also made sure we had access to water even though we were off grid camping. Perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet.

This farm is such a dream! Super relaxing, fire pit, fresh water river within walking distance for fishing/ swimming, power & electricity available. Peter was great to deal with, very friendly and helpful. I believe they are building amenities and a kitchen which will be a great addition. Look forward to coming back :)
