We have a lovely block of land tucked away a couple of streets back from the beach. 200 m from the local shop and 350 m from the main entrance to the beach. There is a lot of shade and a cleared area as well. We have done some more clearing now and it is easy to get any sized vehicle into the property. My daughter had her Toyota. Coaster there on flat ground without any hassles this weekend. One caravan would fit and probably two. You can hear the waves and birds chirping, it is a beautiful part of Australia. Lots of mozzies so come prepared! The town does not have a water supply so you have to bring your own water. You can fill up containers near the hall for a reasonable price. Hot water showers at the shop are $4 for 4 minutes. there are free bbq’s at the beach. the shop has everything, good food, coffee, supermarket, bottle shop and good prices fuel. usually only a handful of people at the beach except on major holidays but even then we are talking maybe 40 people in kilometres of beach. Beach fishing is extremely popular. Unless there is a fire ban I am happy for you to have a little fire and we have a big pile of wood.

Son and I spent 2 nights, lots of green grass and surrounded by tall trees. Farmland on one side and tree line on other makes for lots of serenity. Host was very friendly and provided firewood, drinking water, and had shower and toilet available. Close to Port Welshpool for fishing.

Michelle had good communication, great options with outdoor toilet. Great flat grassy space, stars were lovely at night. We were lucky to be the only people there. The property was perfect for my group of 7, all private space, big campfire, two friendly goats and an amazing view. Firstly, Michelle is an exceptional host/caretaker of her land. Genuinely Good Person. The setup allows for space between campers across 2 paddocks, treed and lovely with the gardens. The amenities - camp kitchen offers everything you might need and a nice communal space if you might need to escape the elements, shed toilet, and an ensuite shower and toilet too. Easy off the highway, quiet at night, and the night sky shines through without the bright lights of a caravan park. We ventured to Welshpool - stopped at the Olive Branch coffee shop, most welcoming - and the Long Jetty. Visited Agnes Falls - another magical spot, very nearby, Another day we headed to Tarra Bulga Natl Park, so reminiscent of NZ fern forests. It’s an hour away, very windy roads.

We had a wonderful stay at Erica Caravan Park, located in the quaint township of Erica, known for its timber industry and small-town charm. Its proximity to Walhalla, a beautifully preserved gold rush town with attractions like the gold mine railway, makes it an excellent base for exploring this fascinating region. Walhalla offers much more than its railway, with plenty of history and scenery to discover. The campground itself is well-equipped, featuring clean showers, toilets, fire pits, a kitchen, and laundry facilities—all impeccably maintained. The camping areas are well-marked, spacious, and peaceful, ensuring a comfortable and quiet stay. For adventure seekers, there’s no shortage of activities, especially for those with a 4WD or motocross bikes. We particularly enjoyed the 25 km dirt road from Walhalla to the Thomson Dam Wall—an awesome experience. There are plenty of tracks to suit all levels of intensity. Visiting in summer was fantastic, but it sounds like winter offers even more unique fun. A special mention to Anthony, the host, who was incredibly kind and responsive, ensuring the campground is kept in top-notch condition. And if you’re not in the mood to cook, the Erica Hotel Motel across the road serves delicious meals—you won’t regret stopping by.

We have a lovely block of land tucked away a couple of streets back from the beach. 200 m from the local shop and 350 m from the main entrance to the beach. There is a lot of shade and a cleared area as well. We have done some more clearing now and it is easy to get any sized vehicle into the property. My daughter had her Toyota. Coaster there on flat ground without any hassles this weekend. One caravan would fit and probably two. You can hear the waves and birds chirping, it is a beautiful part of Australia. Lots of mozzies so come prepared! The town does not have a water supply so you have to bring your own water. You can fill up containers near the hall for a reasonable price. Hot water showers at the shop are $4 for 4 minutes. there are free bbq’s at the beach. the shop has everything, good food, coffee, supermarket, bottle shop and good prices fuel. usually only a handful of people at the beach except on major holidays but even then we are talking maybe 40 people in kilometres of beach. Beach fishing is extremely popular. Unless there is a fire ban I am happy for you to have a little fire and we have a big pile of wood.
