Stockyard Paddock is located at our property called "Tarrawonga", situated on the outskirts of Port Albert. Two minutes drive to the town centre and 10 minutes to nearby Yarram. Tarra Bulga National Park and the magnificent Wilson's Promontory are easy day trips for some of the best hiking in the state. We are a 16-acre hobby farm. We run about 30 sheep who are looked after by "James" the pet Alpaca. We also have a newly established seasonal wetland project in the making. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time. We had a relaxing 5 nights camping at Coopers Corner (fruit trees). This was our second trip here and will be coming back again. It’s quiet and peaceful here, loved the sound of the river and the birdsongs. All the camping sites are well kept with fire pits and most of them have river access. There are also hiking trials in the hill opposite the farm which was handy.

Fruit Trees was a great spot at the Hazelnut Nut Farm - well maintained, close to the creek, large grassy area. Access was a little tricky due to quite a bit of rain - especially towing a caravan. We had a campfire every night - wood is available for purchase onsite 15kg bag for $22 but don’t buy it as an added extra on the Hipcamps site - they charged a $9 service fee! Which really pissed me off. Otherwise, a lovely place to spend a couple of days.
