91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season. It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season. The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Rancho Nirvana is a fantastic spot for a relaxing camping experience. Marc is a wonderful host and Murray the dog was a most welcome guest during our stay. Amenities are excellent/ as advertised. We didn’t use the pool but others took advantage during some very hot weather. Great location, close enough for coastal excursions etc. A great stay.

We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our time here. Jana was an exceptional host — incredibly helpful, with clear instructions for everything, regularly checking in, and even delivering us fresh berries to enjoy, which was such a thoughtful touch. The property is a working berry farm with plenty of space to explore, and it was wonderfully dog-friendly, which we loved. friendly. There are three campsites on the property, but they are well spaced apart, so you don’t see or hear other campers, which made it feel very private and peaceful. The lake/dam was a real highlight — perfect for cooling off on hot days. Having kayaks and paddle boards available made it even better, and it was such a relaxing place to unwind. We would absolutely recommend this stay and would love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Nerrigundah Contrée Sauvage

My dogs and I loved camping at Jana's berry farm. Such a beautiful property and the site was nice and private and the other campsites were not visible. The days were hot so we made full use of the creek with kayaks and stand up paddle board. The dogs had a blast swimming and we thoroughly enjoyed the berries. My partner and I had a great time camping at Bay Park. The grounds were lovely we stayed down the far end which made you feel like you were in the woods. It was peaceful and relaxing. The new toilet/shower block was clean the toilet down near us was a little dated but all added to the rustic feel. The staff were amazing, shout out to Michelle for being so friendly and accommodating we will definately be back. Also the beach/shops are an hour walk and there is also an hourly bus outside the campsite if you don’t drive.

We had a lovely camping trip at Bay Park. The area where we stayed was quiet and peaceful and really felt like we were in the woods. Michelle was amazing, and really accommodating we really appreciated all her help. The showers and toilets at the top end were new and very nice, the toilets near our end were a little dated but working and all added to the rustic experience. Will Definitely be coming back. Thanks Michelle and Team x

Awesome spot! We loved camping at Bay Park! Great camping ground layout under the tree with very good toilet and shower block amenities, park benches and some power points for charging phones and equipment in places and fire pits available for camp fires. Excellent location not far at all to drive to Mount Martha beach and nearby cafes and services. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, at a great price. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Bay Park Adventure Centre

Great camping spot, 10 min drive from Mount Martha South beach and in a nice park. The toilet and showers were better than expected and the rangers were super friendly and helpful. Fire camps are permitted as long as the weather allows and there’s potable water on site. Only thing to note is that the Site E has a slight inclination which is not ideal for setting camp up, but it isn’t a dealbreaker.

Foxes Den is a great location, close to Ocean Grove and everything you need. The supplied water and firewood is really helpful and Hugh is a great host. Highly recommended!

This was a beautiful spot, quiet and loads of space. The sites can be quite slopped so choose carefully! The facilities were basic but clean and tidy with hot water. For the location it is a great stay and we would come again
