We are conveniently located just off the M1, only a 90-minute drive from Melbourne CDB. We offer the perfect place to escape from the rat race to recharge your batteries. Choose any spot to set up camp, but our favourite is next to the beautiful lake-like dam. Guests are required to be self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. It's only 2km to Trafalgar town centre and 5 KM to Moe. Our 60+ acre property is located 4 minutes from Fish Creek in the picturesque South Gippsland region, characterised by green rolling hills. Our property is a small working farm in dairy country. The centrepiece is a small private lake. The property forms a natural bowl, so we don't have runoff from other farms entering the lake and the water is very clean. We welcome campers to pitch a tent on the shore of the lake. The best spot is a small promontory with water on three sides and shade from the blackwood trees. Enjoy swimming, paddling, birdwatching or just hanging out soaking up the surrounds. You'll have the whole spot to yourselves. If you're exploring the area, we're just five minutes to the cafes, galleries and pub at Fish Creek; 15 minutes to the glorious beaches at Sandy Point, Waratah Bay and Walkerville; and 25 mins to Wilson’s Prom gate. There’s no toilet at the campsite, so you will need to be self-contained, and take all waste with you. We don't allow dogs because if there are livestock in nearby paddocks, dogs can freak them out. If fire danger level is not High or above, you're welcome to have a campfire in the firepit provided, but please BYO firewood. Note: This is a scenic spot but the access and camping are a bit rough. To drive in you'll need a SUV or bigger (a Nissan XTrail gets in, with a bit of care). Not suitable for caravans, RVs or long-wheelbase vans, though you'd probably be OK with a small camping trailer towed behind a good 4WD. Weekend Trip to Whispering Gums

We had a wonderful time at Susan's campsite. The location is stunning and the campsite is very well equipped with an outdoor kitchen area, a fire pit, an outdoor table and benches and a hut with a table and chairs. The hut was perfect for playing cards while it was raining. Also the campsite is very private. We fell in love with the landscape: green rolling hills, gorgeous-looking cows, and pristine rainforest. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful property. And being able to bring our dog was a big +. We will be back. The toolshed at Noojie is a great spot to have dinner. ❤️🐮🦆

The campsites are scattered across lovely gently rolling fields and all have a fire pit and a view (either down the valley or across the dam). We had Site 2 looking over the dam which was great and must be stunning in summer and if the dam is full. Access is easy and well sign posted.

2 nights at Whispering Gums

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

First awake at camp is a special time. Day breaks with the chorus of waterhen, Wonga Pigeon and kookaburra, backed by pobblebonk and the odd snuffling of the cows. Alone? Not with this crowd 🤩.

Great setup for a few days of peace and private relaxation. Firepit and facilities with a beautiful dam full of birds, yabbies and different moods and colours, depending on the time of day. 1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

Our 3rd stay at Bruthen Creek and we'll be back! We love the separate camping sites on the property, plenty of space between them and feel like we're bush camping alone. Beautiful location & landscape, with farm animals (lucky to see baby calves again!), kangaroos, emus and birds. Short drive to Woodside Beach, Woodside pub, Yarram and other attractions.

Great venue, the host Charlotte was excellent and made us feel right at home. the sites were awesome, great views and each night ended by the log fire with a glass of wine. 10/10, in fact we are looking for excuses to go back! My 9 year old also rated it as a 10 out of 10! we will see you all again soon!

Really nice, open area that’s close to country towns. The grounds are very well maintained and clean. The lake has a couple of boats and the nearby hills have decent views of the surrounding area.
