We offer drinking water & toilet accessed from house. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through. Chris & I are campers ourselves, so we know how nice it is to have a quiet and private spot all to ourselves, however before long you have people on top of you at caravan parks or at free camping you may experience the doof doof music until god knows what hour. So we offer exclusive private campsite all to your self, we only book one group at a time. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through. FIRE PLAN In the event of high fire danger periods our campers may be asked to evacuate the property for their safety. Instructions will be provided prior. In the event of fires in surrounding areas, it may be necessary to cancel a future booking and or evacuate the site at short notice, this will be reimbursed by Hipcamps. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the sky and sunsets across the lake, over the distant hills. With 90 acres of bush on the property, together with the surrounding two state forests, there is plenty to explore. Tarra Bulga National Park, Ninety Mile beach, Port Albert and Yarram are only a short drive away. Bruthen Creek Pastoral Farmstay at Woodside North, in Central Gippsland, is located on an operating 235 acre cattle farm owned and run by Damian and Angela. Apart from the bulls, cows and calves there are also miniature horses, alpacas and chickens to interact with. Local wildlife includes kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus, goannas and maybe the odd koala. Overhead can be seen many birds including eagles, parrots, water birds while the RAAF Roulettes regularly practice their routines. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. Pets welcome, but please ensure they are under control as there are cattle on the property.

Our empty and unused dairy has space available out the front for up to 3, fully self contained vans (no tents) Located on the edge of the picturesque town of Buln Buln postcode 3821 (not Moe) take in views of rolling green hills and heritage listed oak trees while the gentle cattle and sheep graze nearby paddocks. We have access to power and river water on all three sites (not suitable for drinking) but no toilet so your vehicle must be fully self contained. One site is a drive through concrete slab, the other two are grassed sites. The grassed sites are next to each other and the slab site is on the opposite site of the driveway. There is a free public dump point available at Neerim South (a 10 minute drive north) 10 minutes drive to the larger township of Warragul. Firewood and eggs from our happy free range hens can be provided for an additional fee. Please only use the provided fire pits and no fires are allowed on total fire ban days. There is no access to the main house or paddocks unless accompanied by the property host. There is some traffic noise during the day but the nights are peaceful. Dogs are welcome but please ensure that they remain on leads at all times. Each site is limited to one vehicle and van or single campervan. Should you have a larger group and want to bring additional vehicles please book an additional site. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us.

Located halfway between Warruk and Golden Beach, Victoria, this is an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. The minimum stay is one night, with a maximum of seven nights during off-peak season. Our property is 5 acres comprising of a farmhouse, shed and gardens. Our campsites are grassy green flat paddocks with separate access, great views across open green pastures of grazing cattle and sheep with views of the majestic hills of Dumbalk South. There's plenty to see and do in the area from the amazing Wilson's Prom Nat. Park (40 mins), to country town shopping (2 mins), waterfalls and more. We are only a 10min walk or 3min bike ride from the Great Southern Rail Trail which is a multi-use, gentle trail suitable for all abilities and fitness levels, covering 14 towns and 130klm it runs from Nyora to Yarrum with panoramic views of lush farmland, rainforest and pristine seascapes. The Great Southern Rail Trail links several unique towns. Just across the road you'll find Stony Creek Go Karts which is at 800 metres long, the longest Hire Kart track in Victoria and one of the few tracks that have racing karts and hire out karts as well as provide facilities to bring your own. (Book if poss). They also have other games facilities and an on-site café with great coffee and pizzas! Ten minutes drive towards Dumbalk South takes you to Blue Tree Honey Farm, a great little tourist attraction where you can taste and buy honey from local areas, sample a beautiful cream tea/coffee, have lunch in the cafe or sit outside and admire the scenic countryside. Just down the road towards Foster on your right you will find a fabulous panoramic lookout platform with views of Wilson's Promontory National Park (40 min) comprised of 125,000 acres of rainforests, extremely beautiful beaches, rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. Trails from the Tidal River settlement lead to Squeaky Beach, with its white quartz squeaky sand. Nearby, Mt. Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and offshore islands and Wilsons Promontory Light station, built in 1859, is on the southern coast. Nearby towns for shopping are Meeniyan, Leongatha and Foster. Leongatha has an indoor pool and Foster has a surprisingly good museum which as you walk through there are outbuildings like a jail and a schoolhouse, complete with school children! There are so many attractions nearby as well as local festivals and markets just about every weekend that you will keep coming back to fit them all in.

2 nights at Whispering Gums

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

Our 3rd stay at Bruthen Creek and we'll be back! We love the separate camping sites on the property, plenty of space between them and feel like we're bush camping alone. Beautiful location & landscape, with farm animals (lucky to see baby calves again!), kangaroos, emus and birds. Short drive to Woodside Beach, Woodside pub, Yarram and other attractions.

A great spot to enjoy the local area, with only a couple of fellow campers. Fire pits are great and Jarrod is a fantastic host. Being able to bring doggo is awesome and she enjoyed exploring the old dairy and hay sheds. Being close to the road can be noisy at times, but not enough to prevent us going back. Highly recommend this camp site.

Whispering Gums is such a lovely campsite! Great facilities, there is a camp kitchen and hut in case you need to get out of the elements. Sue and Chris are amazing hosts and we were lucky to meet Sue's horse Amy (and Banjo and the 3 cows) Having the whole site to yourself makes it a wonderful experience and made it super easy for our dogs. Would highly recommend.

We had a great weekend away at Whispering Gums. Host Sue was lovely and really helpful - she came to our rescue when we had a camper trailer malfunction and made the stay fantastic. Great site, we loved morning coffee overlooking the dam, and the campfire and mud kitchen were useful. The portaloo was very handy and Sue was quick and efficient with the changeover when needed. It was lovely to meet Amy the horse and have a walk over the beautiful property to admire the cows and the view. Thanks for the enjoyable stay Sue, we hope to be back!

Host Sue, was extremely kind and generous. The love she has for her place shows. As a group of 3 families we felt very welcomed and had everything we needed. The addition of the toilet set up (and change overs) were greatly appreciated with kids in tow. We loved the back drop of rolling hills and the space for the dogs to run around. Highlight for the kids was definitely getting to see and ride Amy, the horse. Just magical.

The old dairy was indeed an old dairy. I stayed on the grassed area with my campervan. It was lovely, Jarrod is such a helpful host and my little doggo was intrigued with the blackheaded sheep. Beautiful sunset and such a peaceful spot for coffee while looking over the green fields with the mountains in the background.
