Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away.
Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras).
Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind.

These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road.
There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak.
If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied).
There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider.
For more accuate information pertainnig to each site check out the specific listings/sites. Some sites are set up for group bookings and others for couples with pricing to match. If you have a large event in mind and wish to book out the entire farm, please reach out for further discussions. If you are booking a group site and expect to have more than 10 people, but you don't know exact numbers, just put the booking in for 10 people and you can finalise the numbers with me a few days before.

- We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 30 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. We are a working cattle farm. You cannot pat any.

Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people).
Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Campsite 3 is not very flat and less well suited to tents.
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.
Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district.
The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive!
Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo.
8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites .
We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden and Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness and Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away.
Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The three best sites for swimming are The Crossing, The River Bend and The Willows . We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time.
We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking.
We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water.
Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site!

The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones.
The river is ideal for swimming, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property.
Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around.
The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us.

Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away.
Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras).
Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind.

As the name suggests, Far End sits right at the very end of our property and offers the utmost peace and privacy. This flat, shaded campsite is just 10–20 metres from the river and surrounded by trees, making it a favourite among returning guests.

These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road.
There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak.
If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied).
There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider.
For more accuate information pertainnig to each site check out the specific listings/sites. Some sites are set up for group bookings and others for couples with pricing to match. If you have a large event in mind and wish to book out the entire farm, please reach out for further discussions. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 30 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. We are a working cattle farm. You cannot pat any.

Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people).
Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Campsite 3 is not very flat and less well suited to tents.
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.
Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district.
The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive!
Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo.

Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites .
We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden and Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness and Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away.
Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The three best sites for swimming are The Crossing, The River Bend and The Willows . We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time.
We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking.
We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water.
Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site!

The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones.
The river is ideal for swimming, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property.
Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around.
The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us.

What a great place to camp, plenty of room between sites, nice amenities and nice kiosk with local farm produced goods at very reasonable prices, we will definitely be back. I can now understand why it has such a great rating on Hipcamp

Amazing property and very well organized. Amenities were a bonus and the best I have seen in such a rural place. Ginnie was lovely, welcoming and had us all setup at the corner camp. Will come back with the kids and stay a little closer to amenities, so many cool spots. Thank you for sharing your part of the world!

We loved camping at Nillawarre Woodland camp site, Ginnie and Gary were very welcoming hosts.
Our site was a very peaceful flat area beside the dam with trees providing shade in the afternoon, the views all around were stunning.The ammenities comprising of showers, flushing toilets and camp kitchen were a short 3-4 minute walk from the site.
The property backs onto the Mt Samaria State park so the location is perfect for exploring this park and lake Nillahcootie is only about 20 minutes away.
With plenty of room to stretch the legs and explore we would definately like to come back in the future.

Close to Wangaratta for supplies and cafes. Lovely area by the river watching canoes drift past. Good camp fire pits. Easily accessible for 2wd caravanning. Good spots for a duo to cool off.

Fabulous spot, close to Aubury but feels miles away. So much space and we were there by ourselves. 19ft van, easy access and great communication with Vicki. Nice to be met at the gate and escorted in. Had a couple of dips in the river to cool off. Current is quite strong but good for a cool down and a kayak. Dog friendly and cows for company.

The Crossing at Willowbank was our very first Hipcamp experience, and it has certainly set a high bar for all our future trips. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable few days right on the banks of the scenic Murray River—even with a bit of rain.
Our site was perfect, with lovely views of the river, mountains, and green farmland. It was so convenient being less than 10 minutes from central Albury and the railway station, with potable water and a dump point.
Vicki and Byron were such kind and friendly hosts, and we loved meeting the resident cows—they were so polite and cute, especially the shy calves. We’re already making plans to head back to Willowbank in the future.

Mill Site 2 was really peaceful and tranquil. The kangaroos and birds, distant rooster and the delightful Highland cows made our stay special.
We came in from Whitfield so different directions to the app. Road was a bit rough for our motorhome but we managed.
There is a rustic toilet at each camp site - cassette toilet and generously supplied with toilet paper - we were self contained so didn't use the one on our site. (Prob could have been a bit cleaner).
The campers at Mill Site 1 were close by. There was another lot of campers at the lower campsite. It's a fairly open area but everyone was respectful.
I think we had the best spot 😊
There was no communication from the hosts.
We would love to come back midweek and hope to be the only ones here. Imagine the tranquility and freedom of space - we loved our stay.

Great location with nicely mown grass and view of river. Clean drop loo and a Largs gazebo type structure to set up lots of stuff underneath. Had minor medical issue and Patrick so helpful . Can not recommend this Hipcamp enough highly
