Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure.
There is a Dump Point available in Rawson.

We also have a communal large self cater kitchen and large communal BBQ area. It is the only privately owned town in Victoria and the only one not on mains power. The town generates its own power, pumps and treats its own water and is also responsible for its waste management.

The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.
Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways,
with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer.
There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system.
Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.
Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the
wharf straight over the river.
Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences.
We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first.

A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, can accommodate up to 15 at one site and 12 at the other, camping and fires are only allowed in designated camping areas due to rehabilitation of river frontage large trees and flash flooding, at both sites you cannot camp or have fires in fenced off river frontage, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, you will have to provide your own camp toilet, shower, etc and take all waste away when you leave, children under 4 are free but can you please book them in and i will refund you straight away, its for insurance purposes, just leave a message stating how many guests are under 4 thanks. Shady Gully Caravan Park offers a range of powered and unpowered sites, as well as a variety of cabins and an ensuite site.
The surrounding area is peppered with trails, hiking and bike tracks, and has locations providing easy access to Croajingalong National Park.
Mallacoota is renowned for its Estuary and ocean fishing and prawning during the summer months. The Local Angling Club runs monthly competitions for locals and visitors and encourages families and kids to participate.

Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.
Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways,
with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer.
There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system.
Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.
Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the
wharf straight over the river.
Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences.
We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first.

You can enjoy direct access to the Lake, feel free to leave your boat/ski in the water so you can enjoy that early morning glassy water ski, canoe, SUP, swim or fish. Please note: Water level varies all year round.
You might even see our kangaroos that frequent our property which is Land for Wildlife accredited.
Fishing, water sports or just going for a walk around the bluff are just a snippet of what we have on offer. Such a special piece of paradise.
Close to the hills, where you can enjoy motorbike riding (no motorbikes to be ridden on the property), horse riding, Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park, and more.
Heyfield Township is just 8 minutes away and there are a number of local wineries close by, plus a great pump track. Lots to explore! Or, just chill and enjoy the peace and serenity of our wonderful property.

Shady Gully Caravan Park is surrounded by a stunning natural landscape waiting to be explored.
Situated beside the Shady Gully Reserve, our Park is frequently visited by wildlife of all descriptions. Campers sleep and wake to the sound of the bush - lyre-birds, kookaburras and colourful parrots frequent the Park and surrounding bushland. Koalas and kangaroos move between the Shady Gully Creek in the Reserve and nearby Parkland.
Shady Gully Caravan Park offers a range of powered and unpowered sites, as well as a variety of cabins and an ensuite site.
The surrounding area is peppered with trails, hiking and bike tracks, and has locations providing easy access to Croajingalong National Park.
Mallacoota is renowned for its Estuary and ocean fishing and prawning during the summer months. The Local Angling Club runs monthly competitions for locals and visitors and encourages families and kids to participate.

A lovely getaway for our family of 6. We took our camper trailer and were warmly welcomed by the host. Location perfect. Site was well maintain and included drinkable water and fire pit. There is an undercover selection of extras (kayaks, bikes, helmets, tennis rackets, hula hoops, grape fruit) that added much fun to the weekend. Kids loved riding up and around the corner to the BMX track or the tennis courts & playground. 12 min ride or 4 min drive to the Nowa Nowa Mountain Bike Track. Get place to camp in Nowa Nowa.

This lovely retreat centre exceeded all of our expectations. The host George was friendly and accommodating, the kitchen and dining areas were incredibly well stocked and spacious, not to mention beautifully designed. And to top it all off there was an abundance of wildlife within the camp that made our stay so memorable. Thank you so much George!

We had a relaxing weekend at Mick’s farm, heaps of space and very private. We had 3 caravans (18ft) and a hybrid (14ft), recommend using 4WD and LHS track coming in and back out again if bringing a van in, track conditions were rutty on the steep section, but also dry at the time we stayed.
River is quite fast flowing. It is mainly knee deep for the most part with a couple of small deeper holes in spots. Dog absolutely loved it.
Camp area very grassy and well maintained.
Recommend contacting owner days prior to your stay if unsure where to access the premises. I contacted the host Adrian on the day given we were unsure if we had to meet on site and if the gate would be unlocked on arrival. Although I never heard from Adrian, the gate access was unlocked and no issues on arrival.
We had a great time and would enjoy returning again in future.

This camp spot was exactly what I was looking for. Very private, extremely clean, and so peaceful. It felt like a true getaway from everything, with plenty of space and no disturbances at all. You can tell a lot of care has gone into maintaining the site. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing escape.

Clear instructions to find their property. The property was very well looked after. The grass was freshly mown and so lovely and green. The outlook into the rolling hills was stunning. The property was right next to town and the Buchan caves which suited us perfectly. Highly recommended.

This was an awesome camp site for our group of 2 caravans adjacent to the river and looking across to the alpaca's and to the groves of hazelnut tree's. Lisa and Bernie were super helpful and friendly. Definitely a camping location we will be coming back to and exploring their other beautiful river side camping sites.

We had an amazing stay camping on Mike’s property. The site offered complete privacy when booking all three sites, which made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. There was clean, fresh water readily available, and the facilities went above and beyond—bikes, kayaks, and other amenities were all on hand and easy to use. Mike and his wife were extremely accommodating, kind, and welcoming, which really made the experience special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, private, and well-equipped camping stay.
