Hazelnut Valley is a working Hazelnut Farm located along the Tyres River. We are an easy 2-hour drive from CBD Melbourne, so we are a great location for either short or long stays. Christmas Holiday Bookings Christmas and Boxing Days are available on request only, we will not be accepting any booking for arrival on Christmas or Boxing Days, so that we can have quality family time. Any guest who would like to book a site to arrive before Christmas Day and depart after Boxing Day please message us via Hip Camp and we can make the site available for your booking. Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure. There is a Dump Point available in Rawson. Site Toilets can be hired thru Moe Hire (03 5127 7114), they will deliver & pick up from your site. A fire pit is provided free for the duration of your stay to each camp group. You could ride though the forest for days and not see all of it. Stockyard Paddock is located at our property called "Tarrawonga", situated on the outskirts of Port Albert. Two minutes drive to the town centre and 10 minutes to nearby Yarram. Tarra Bulga National Park and the magnificent Wilson's Promontory are easy day trips for some of the best hiking in the state. We are a 16-acre hobby farm. We run about 30 sheep who are looked after by "James" the pet Alpaca. We also have a newly established seasonal wetland project in the making. Just sit back and enjoy the local Kangaroos and abundant birdlife. Campers have access to a level and grassed, four-acre cleared open dry paddock with a treed outlook. Access is good for caravans and other RVs. You need to be self-contained, with your own camp toilet. There is water and a dump point just two minutes drive up the road. No generators please. Port Albert is steeped in history and a visit to the maritime museum is absolutely worth the time. The Alberton Hotel provides a courtesy bus if you're after a counter meal and drinks. Tarra Bulga National park is close by and provides some magnificent walks. Wilson's Promontory is a great day trip. And of course, there is always the famous Port Albert Fish and Chip shop. Well-behaved dogs welcome on leash.

Konda Blueberry Farm is located 10 minutes drive from Marlo, and 15 minutes from the beautiful Cape Conran beaches. The Farm is set on 132 acres of bushland, with about 15 acres cleared for the half acre abundant blueberry orchard. There are many bush tracks throughout the property to explore and a large community of birdlife is ever present. Other wildlife you may see, Wombats,Kangaroos,Deer and Wallabies. We do recommend a 4WD as the ground in some areas is quite sandy but still accessible with 2wd. Access to the pristine Cabbage Tree ck for kayaking/canoeing or fishing is available. We have two sites for campers (for either tents and RVs) that are tucked into cleared bushland areas, with lovely bush views, and privacy for just your own group. You'll need to be fully independent, with your water and shower, and must take all waste when you depart. Campfires are permitted,(except on total fire bans) and there are two fire pits on site with swing over hot plates and pot/kettle chain. We also welcome dogs but please keep on a lead at all times as wild life can be present. We don't offer self-picking at our farm yet, however when the berries are in season (Jan - Feb), you are welcome to purchase punnets picked that day! Konda Blueberry Farm is located 10 minutes drive from Marlo, and 15 minutes from the beautiful Cape Conran beaches. The Farm is set on 132 acres of bushland, with about 15 acres cleared for the half acre abundant blueberry orchard. There are many bush tracks throughout the property to explore and a large community of birdlife is ever present. Other wildlife you may see, Wombats,Kangaroos,Deer and Wallabies. We do recommend a 4WD as the ground in some areas is quite sandy but still accessible with 2wd. Access to the pristine Cabbage Tree ck for kayaking/canoeing or fishing is available. We have two sites for campers (for either tents and RVs) that are tucked into cleared bushland areas, with lovely bush views, and privacy for just your own group. You'll need to be fully independent, with your water and shower, and must take all waste when you depart. Campfires are permitted,(except on total fire bans) and there are two fire pits on site with swing over hot plates and pot/kettle chain. We also welcome dogs but please keep on a lead at all times as wild life can be present. We don't offer self-picking at our farm yet, however when the berries are in season (Jan - Feb), you are welcome to purchase punnets picked that day! We had a relaxing 5 nights camping at Coopers Corner (fruit trees). This was our second trip here and will be coming back again. It’s quiet and peaceful here, loved the sound of the river and the birdsongs. All the camping sites are well kept with fire pits and most of them have river access. There are also hiking trials in the hill opposite the farm which was handy.

The host was very helpful. The outlook over the winding river was amazing, ducks, and swans were always present on the river. The area is well looked and we had the area to ourselves so was very private. This location was only 15 minutes from Lakes Entrance and only 5 minutes from the Wyanga Winery. The winery was an added bonus, we walked there in 30 minutes, great wines and fantastic food

Fruit Trees was a great spot at the Hazelnut Nut Farm - well maintained, close to the creek, large grassy area. Access was a little tricky due to quite a bit of rain - especially towing a caravan. We had a campfire every night - wood is available for purchase onsite 15kg bag for $22 but don’t buy it as an added extra on the Hipcamps site - they charged a $9 service fee! Which really pissed me off. Otherwise, a lovely place to spend a couple of days.

The hut is perfect for extra room if needed to prepare food, has a large picnic table to sit & eat or shelter from the rain. With the forest across the road and Port Welshpool a quick bike or car ride away, this camp really has everything. From riding along tracks to walking the beach or long pier, very relaxing for a short or long stay. We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put. For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you. Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for. A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing. Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed. What is available off farm? Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins. If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time. East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area. Our 60+ acre property is located 4 minutes from Fish Creek in the picturesque South Gippsland region, characterised by green rolling hills. Our property is a small working farm in dairy country. The centrepiece is a small private lake. The property forms a natural bowl, so we don't have runoff from other farms entering the lake and the water is very clean. We welcome campers to pitch a tent on the shore of the lake. The best spot is a small promontory with water on three sides and shade from the blackwood trees. Enjoy swimming, paddling, birdwatching or just hanging out soaking up the surrounds. You'll have the whole spot to yourselves. If you're exploring the area, we're just five minutes to the cafes, galleries and pub at Fish Creek; 15 minutes to the glorious beaches at Sandy Point, Waratah Bay and Walkerville; and 25 mins to Wilson’s Prom gate. There’s no toilet at the campsite, so you will need to be self-contained, and take all waste with you. We don't allow dogs because if there are livestock in nearby paddocks, dogs can freak them out. If fire danger level is not High or above, you're welcome to have a campfire in the firepit provided, but please BYO firewood. Note: This is a scenic spot but the access and camping are a bit rough. To drive in you'll need a SUV or bigger (a Nissan XTrail gets in, with a bit of care). Not suitable for caravans, RVs or long-wheelbase vans, though you'd probably be OK with a small camping trailer towed behind a good 4WD. (The trickiest part of accessing the site is getting from the road onto the track leading up to our gate. There is a roadside ditch, and long or low vehicles can bottom out when trying to cross it.) For necessities, Fish Creek has a general store and pharmacy, a post office, a hardware store, a famous pub - and good coffee at a few different venues!

Ten minutes drive towards Dumbalk South takes you to Blue Tree Honey Farm, a great little tourist attraction where you can taste and buy honey from local areas, sample a beautiful cream tea/coffee, have lunch in the cafe or sit outside and admire the scenic countryside. Just down the road towards Foster on your right you will find a fabulous panoramic lookout platform with views of Wilson's Promontory National Park (40 min) comprised of 125,000 acres of rainforests, extremely beautiful beaches, rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. Trails from the Tidal River settlement lead to Squeaky Beach, with its white quartz squeaky sand. Nearby, Mt. Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and offshore islands and Wilsons Promontory Light station, built in 1859, is on the southern coast. Nearby towns for shopping are Meeniyan, Leongatha and Foster. Leongatha has an indoor pool and Foster has a surprisingly good museum which as you walk through there are outbuildings like a jail and a schoolhouse, complete with school children! There are so many attractions nearby as well as local festivals and markets just about every weekend that you will keep coming back to fit them all in.

The farm backs onto the Mt Alfred State Forest and is close to the beautiful Mitchell River National park. Mt Alfred is a fantastic forest with many great tracks to explore on horse back, mountain bike or on foot. Horses and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of space on a large, grassy flat area for camping and parking. There are paddocks for horses and a guide is available. The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Please take all rubbish with you on departure.

17 acres, with 2 cleared, only 3 kms as the crow flies, from the coast. You can hear the surf in the evening. The property is the bush refuge corner of a larger grazing property. Whilst sheep and cattle graze on one side of the fence, the wildlife grazing on "our" side includes echidnas, wombats, wallabies, possums, koalas, and is home to more than 30 species of birds identified so far. Tarwin Lower EcoStudio is not far out of town and the Tarwin River (4 kms), for boating, paddling and fishing. Slightly further afield is Andersen Inlet (great fishing, paddling, paddle boarding, boating, and shallow waters for very young children), Venus Bay Surf beaches, and Walkerville South bay beach (with boat ramp). Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory less than an hour's drive away. And that's just the water sports. The Great Southern Rail Trail is just up the road, at Koonwarra or Leongatha, and has a range of rides with varying degrees of challenge. The Eco Studio itself is completely off grid, built from reclaimed and recycled materials, as part of our commitment to living lightly. There is an outdoor kitchen, and composting toilet, and our home garden (we live on the property too) is often abundant and the fresh organic produce is for sale for our visitors. We're located just 8 mins inland from Lakes Entrance, near Lake Tyers. Our campsites offer secluded lush lawns surrounded by trees on the edge of the river. The immediate vicinity offers bush walking, canoeing/kayaking and fishing. For those keen on adventures further afield there is a boat ramp 8 mins drive away, the nearest beach is a 10 min drive away, and the township of Lakes Entrance is just 8 mins drive too. Plenty of water sports options, hospitality venues including waterfront cafes, and scenic spots to visit in the area. There are no amenities so please ensure you are fully self-sufficient. The campsite has a tap with drinking water (BYO hose), and dogs on leashes are welcome. Being on the river's edge, the property has a gradient toward the river, so ensure you are equipped with levelling ramps for caravans / camper trailers. Lakes Entrance is a coastal town in eastern Victoria. It's known for the Gippsland Lakes, a vast system of inland waterways. There is a pedestrian bridge to Ninety Mile Beach, which stretches along the town's Tasman Sea shoreline. Wildlife around the beach and lakes includes kangaroos, pelicans and dolphins so bring your camera!

These campsites are right on the Snowy River with flat grass to setup on. This spot is an excellent fishing spot for Bream, if fishing is your thing this is a very good place to camp. The riverbank here has rocks on it and small black crabs can be found for bait. An absolutely beautiful place to wake up in and relax, it is where the river wraps around the second island directly in front and the entrance to Lake Corringle. Lots of room to spread out and set up - not crowded at all. 4x4 and all-wheel drive access only. Guests are required to be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are permitted when there are no restrictions in place which is most of the time. They must be kept contained and at a reasonable size. Boats can be launched nearby and moored at your campsite. Samphire can be picked and eaten from this location. Boat access directly to Marlo Hotel and river mouth. Pets welcome.
