Located on the picturesque Nowa Nowa arm of Lake Tyers. Our hobby farm offers 3 beautiful large campsites (1 van per site) only 20 metres from the waters edge. OUR CAMPSITES DO NOT HAVE TOILET OR SHOWER FACILITIES. ALL WASTE AND RUBBISH MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU ON DEPARTURE. Pets are welcome but we have chickens and alpacas on the property so please ensure your pets are restrained and don't upset the other animals. We have a fire pits for campers to relax around in the evenings. We can provide firewood for first night ($15) and additional firewood can be purchased from the general store (fundraiser for local CFA). Generators are allowed but only for limited time to charge essential equipment. No generators are allowed to run non stop and not between 9pm and 9am. if you are going to use a generator please inform other campers. Only a 5 minute walk to the NOWA NOWA GENERAL STORE/Post Office. You can get local fishing information from the friendly staff, stock up on fuel, great coffee and groceries, wine/beer, fishing tackle, bait, fire wood and more without having to drive! Only a 5 minute walk to Mingling Waters which has transformed its cafe into a rustic bar housing Jack Ramsdells iconic wooden sculptures and showcasing the history of Nowa Nowa in wall murals. Hearty meals and tap beer with indoor and outdoor dining options. Live music on weekends. Offering lunch from Thursdays to Sundays and Dinner Thursday through to Saturdays. We are within easy reach of the EAST GIPPSLAND RAIL TRAIL which is popular for both bike riders and walkers. There are plenty of other great bushwalking tracks nearby as well. It's just a short drive to the beautiful seaside town of LAKES ENTRANCE where they have supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, great fresh seafood and lovely beaches. BRUTHEN is only a 20 minute drive. BRUTHEN HOTEL, Cafes. The BUCHAN CAVES RESERVE is another short drive. Picnic spots, camping ground, walking tracks and a variety of flora and fauna, including koalas, over forty species of birds, kangaroos and currawongs. While in Buchan check out the famous BUCHAN PUB for a meal and a beer. 25 minute drive East and you are in ORBOST, a small East Gippsland town surrounded by national parks, forests and beaches.

With 90 acres of bush on the property, together with the surrounding two state forests, there is plenty to explore. Tarra Bulga National Park, Ninety Mile beach, Port Albert and Yarram are only a short drive away. Bruthen Creek Pastoral Farmstay at Woodside North, in Central Gippsland, is located on an operating 235 acre cattle farm owned and run by Damian and Angela. Apart from the bulls, cows and calves there are also miniature horses, alpacas and chickens to interact with. Local wildlife includes kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus, goannas and maybe the odd koala. Overhead can be seen many birds including eagles, parrots, water birds while the RAAF Roulettes regularly practice their routines. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. Pets welcome, but please ensure they are under control as there are cattle on the property.

Micks Campsite is 13 acres consisting of bush, flat lush grass river front camping. Dirt road access for vehicles. The site has access to a portable toilet. BBQ area with a fire pit and wood to burn. Running river for drinking water. Mobile phone coverage is good as well. Pitch your tent or park your caravan in a peaceful spot away from the city lights and noise. The property is located close to the township of toongabbie where you can stock up on any supplies. It's next to Cowarr Weir which is perfect for walking and bike riding. Wood/Kindlings can be collected from the ground around the property. No fires when area in total fire bans or when windy, please check regulations prior to lighting a fire.

Beautiful spot right on the river and all to yourself. Dogs can be off lead. Bit tricky to find, quick call to Adrian got us sorted. If coming off Stoney Creek Rd you need to take the left turn as soon as you see #69 and go up past #67 till you get to the Road Closed. That's the road in, open/close that gate then head down. One track is steeper than the one with some rutts. We took the rutted option, slow and steady you will be fine. We got in and out in our 2WD towing our camper trailer NO ISSUES even after having had 15ml of rain the day/night before we left. Awesome spot, will definitely be back! Thanks Adrian

We recently returned to Nowa Nowa, and not even the rain could dampen our spirits! There was plenty to keep everyone entertained — from jumping off the jetty and stand-up paddle boarding to bird watching and tackling the BMX track. The kids (and the kids at heart) had an absolute blast. It’s a fantastic spot for families, and we love that our fur babies were welcome too. A great place to relax, explore, and make lasting memories!

Our 3rd stay at Bruthen Creek and we'll be back! We love the separate camping sites on the property, plenty of space between them and feel like we're bush camping alone. Beautiful location & landscape, with farm animals (lucky to see baby calves again!), kangaroos, emus and birds. Short drive to Woodside Beach, Woodside pub, Yarram and other attractions.

We were a group of 6 camping together and we had a wonderful time. It was private and exclusive. We dealt with Mike’s wife and she was very kind and friendly. Lots of activity opportunities and Mike got canoe and bikes available. We will definitely come again for a relaxing break.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The position is quiet and plenty of room. Close to the river and enjoyed the early morning kayaking and bike rides on equipment on hand. Close enough to town to walk and benefit from facilities but close enough away to have privacy and peace. The bird life was amazing as well.

What a gem of a host Mike is! I rolled up in my 6-meter campervan, and his land welcomed me like an old friend—no fuss, just easy access If you’re itching for adventure, Mike’s got you covered with bikes and canoes ready to roll and those who prefer walking, well, there's plenty of walking tracks. The area is very enchanting and when night falls, those firepits spark up a cozy, soul-warming ambience. Loved it!

Great location, just 20m from the water. Great host, they gave use some fruit from there trees. (We forgot to take them). Firewood was delivered by host. Only negative we had and it wasn’t that bad, was the traffic, but it was a long weekend.

What a beautiful location, the site was neat as a pin! Very well looked after. We had an RV and it rained, no troubles getting back up the hill. The water in the river, crystal clear. BYO firewood and lots of it. Host was very helpful.

I enjoyed solo camping on Mike's property with my dog. We had access to the lake just across the road for kayaking and fishing. There are walks close by and a fire pit for a good fire. The site was flat and easy to access. It was a nice, relaxing time.
