The Property is situated on the pristine Wallagaraugh river near the Victorian and New South Wales border, 8km down an all weather dirt road has some bumpy sections, accessible for caravaners and boaters and is approximately 45 km from Eden and 40 km from Mallacoota by car, very isolated but has limited phone and internet reception, 15 minutes down river Gypsy Point, another 20 minutes your at Mallacoota on the coast if you need fuel, supplies, etc, 5 to 10 minutes up river the bullring , proceeding with caution you will go through a temperate rainforest and end up at the rock wall with small waterfalls and fresh water pools. A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, can accommodate up to 15 at one site and 12 at the other, camping and fires are only allowed in designated camping areas due to rehabilitation of river frontage and flash flooding, at both sites you cannot camp or have fires in fenced off river frontage, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, you will have to provide your own camp toilet, shower, etc and take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, if having trouble booking or any other inquiries please send message cheers John.

Our campsites are grassy green flat paddocks with separate access, great views across open green pastures of grazing cattle and sheep with views of the majestic hills of Dumbalk South. There's plenty to see and do in the area from the amazing Wilson's Prom Nat. Park (40 mins), to country town shopping (2 mins), waterfalls and more. We are only a 10min walk or 3min bike ride from the Great Southern Rail Trail which is a multi-use, gentle trail suitable for all abilities and fitness levels, covering 14 towns and 130klm it runs from Nyora to Yarrum with panoramic views of lush farmland, rainforest and pristine seascapes. The Great Southern Rail Trail links several unique towns. Just across the road you'll find Stony Creek Go Karts which is at 800 metres long, the longest Hire Kart track in Victoria and one of the few tracks that have racing karts and hire out karts as well as provide facilities to bring your own. (Book if poss). They also have other games facilities and an on-site café with great coffee and pizzas! Ten minutes drive towards Dumbalk South takes you to Blue Tree Honey Farm, a great little tourist attraction where you can taste and buy honey from local areas, sample a beautiful cream tea/coffee, have lunch in the cafe or sit outside and admire the scenic countryside. Just down the road towards Foster on your right you will find a fabulous panoramic lookout platform with views of Wilson's Promontory National Park (40 min) comprised of 125,000 acres of rainforests, extremely beautiful beaches, rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. Trails from the Tidal River settlement lead to Squeaky Beach, with its white quartz squeaky sand. Nearby, Mt. Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and offshore islands and Wilsons Promontory Light station, built in 1859, is on the southern coast. Nearby towns for shopping are Meeniyan, Leongatha and Foster. Leongatha has an indoor pool and Foster has a surprisingly good museum which as you walk through there are outbuildings like a jail and a schoolhouse, complete with school children! There are so many attractions nearby as well as local festivals and markets just about every weekend that you will keep coming back to fit them all in.

The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Please take all rubbish with you on departure.
