Native bush property located within the stunning small coastal town of Lake Tyers Beach. Beautiful sandy beaches and the Lake Tyers estuary system—renowned for fishing and water activities—are only a few minutes away. It’s just a short drive to Lakes Entrance, the thriving holiday town at the gateway to the magnificent Gippsland Lakes system. Guests must be fully self-contained and have their own toilet facilities.This coastal bush property is close enough to the ocean you can hear the waves breaking on the beach. Bush Camp sits alongside the driveway of the property and has many site options available to set up your camp. We have limited the camp area to one (1) site so you can have the place to yourself. We are happy to accommodate another camper if they are travelling with you and you want to set up together. There is an in ground fire pit (and plenty of wood!), a camp cooking hotplate, stainless steel bench, camp sink, picnic table, bench seating, outdoor shower (cold only) and potable water. The site is approximately 1 acre in size with a rope fence around the perimeter to easily identify the camping area. The Red Bluff beach is a leisurely 1.5km walk through the bush, with Lake Tyers and the famous Lake Tyers Beach Tavern is only 3km away (the Courtesy Bus will come and pick you up). The property has abundant bird and wildlife. You'll feel like your a million miles away!

Fantastic site, well maintained, peaceful and private. Great fire pit, picnic table and sink with water were an added bonus. Scott was easy to communicate with, checking in with us to ensure we were comfortable. Close to Lakes Entrance, wineries, bike and walking tracks. Cannot wait to stay again.

We had a very enjoyable 5 nights stay at Bush Camp, which had everything we needed and so much more. The biggest drawcard for us was having the entire property completely to ourselves as the only campsite, plus the luxury of potable water and a hose handy. The site was clean, peaceful and scenic, and we loved the frequent visits from the cute local willy wagtails. ​The location was very central for exploring East Gippsland, making it easy to head out for day trips to Lakes Entrance, Paynesville, Raymond Island, Metung, and Lake Tyers State Park with its gorgeous Toorloo Arm Walk. Our host, Scott, was friendly and genuinely caring, checking in from time to time to ensure we were comfortable. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Bush Camp. The site is private and away from the main road. We used the on-site fire pit all weekend and the supplied firewood was an added bonus. Scott was friendly and easy to connect with. He checked in daily with us if to see if there was anything we needed. We will 100% be returning!

Scott came and said Gday, nice guy, great spot. Awesome walking ops nearby to take your dogs or yourself on adventures. Ocean sings you to sleep and the birds sing you awake - what more could you want? 10/10 would reccomend. Thanks Scott!

We absolutely loved our week at Bush Camp, staying in our caravan with our two dogs and cat. The dogs loved having a camp to themselves to explore and run around off lead. The camp was exactly as described, and Scott was incredibly welcoming, even checking in to make sure everything was going well during our stay. The birdlife was amazing, and we really enjoyed the cliff-top walk into town and along the beach. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the region, with Lakes Entrance just a short drive away. The camp itself is wonderfully quiet, with just a few cars using the no through road. Highly recommend this camp.

Loved this camp! Heaps of trees and wildlife. Access to water and firewood plus a massive firepit. Property owner was kind and helpful. Only one campsite on the property so very private. Access with our 22ft van was fine.

Scott has provided an exceptional Hipcamp. Very private, securely locked entrance, beautiful bush setting, picnic table, sink, BBQ, huge fire pit with wooden seating for a larger number, cut wood (donation), bush shower and potable water. As it had been raining, the lengthy hose also came in useful to clear our groundsheet.

We had a blast at Scott’s bush camp. We felt safe with a toddler running around the nice quiet camp site. We made some great memories at the site, including watching a possum walk through at night. We appreciate how Scott accommodated us. Will visit again.

Fantastic place. Spent 5 nights camping in a tent. The set up is great and easy access to water is convenient. The location is great 10 minute drive to Lakes Entrance township. A leisurely 1.5km walk through bushland to a stunning beach. The nearby tavern is delicious and nice views. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Wonderfully peaceful and beautiful camp-site. Thoughtfully built by the host with great amenities. The camp fire , kitchen sink and cold water shower make it very easy to feel at home, but inside the bush , but just minutes from beaches and other localities. The host was very friendly, and approachable. Definitely will keep this bush camp on our list. Thanks again

I think this might be the best hip camp we've ever stayed at! Absolutely huge area all to yourself, potable water, a fire pit, bbq, sink and even a shower! Easy spot to get into Lakes Entrance. Would recommend as a base to explore the area for sure.

Bush Camp is a such a great spot to stay! Great facilities- a fire pit (with a stack of wood), clean water on tap and a large area to set up and relax. Scott is a really nice fella and made sure we were comfortable. Will definitely recommend it to friends. Thanks for having us!
