The host was very helpful. The outlook over the winding river was amazing, ducks, and swans were always present on the river. The area is well looked and we had the area to ourselves so was very private.
This location was only 15 minutes from Lakes Entrance and only 5 minutes from the Wyanga Winery. The winery was an added bonus, we walked there in 30 minutes, great wines and fantastic food

We loved camping at Rhonda’s property, it was a quiet beautiful spot we had fun fishing and paddle boarding in the river. Rhonda had excellent communication and direction to the property made it easy to find. Thanks Rhona would definitely stay again

A peaceful, beautiful spot. We had it all to ourselves which was lovely. We loved exploring and looking for wombat burrows and echidnas with the kids. Be prepared - We had to chock our 21’6 van to get it level and the ground is a bit soft so it kept settling and going slightly out of level again. There were also a lot of flies!

Lovely little spot on the river. Great fire pit and seating area around as well as on the cute pier to watch the swans swim by. Had other campers in the area but each were respectful.
We had alot of rain when leaving so the ground was soggy and slippery. Needed 4wd to get up the wet hill.

Nice location near river, there were 5 or 6 other campsites near us but all were very friendly. Directions were clear and the place was easy to find.

Really nice and quiet spot with beautiful views from the jetty. Only a few minutes drive from Lakes Entrance.
I really enjoyed sitting around the shared fire pit while looking at the view of the water.
My kids loved fishing off the jetty and going for a paddle out on the canoe.
I will definitely come back for another visit

Great spot, but be conscious that even though you think you may have booked all 5 sites, Rhonda might increase the bookings. Over Easter there were 8 families. We were 5 and were squashed in a line on the smaller half of the field. We also thought we could have our own fire, but were told a hard no and could only use the communal area, which was a bit awkward with 8 families sharing. We still had a great time though. The weather was perfect with not a breath of wind, so going for a SUP was lovely.

The advertisement is misleading as it states in bold that campfires are allowed. This suggests fires are allowed at the caravan location. However Rhonda does not allow campfires, except at the communal fire pit next to the river. The good points are the location. Very serene, impressive star gazing, bird watching eagle, black cockatoo, pelicans . Perfect kayaking location and brim caught off the jetty. Having the town and beach located 12 minutes away was also great for kids especially when weather was bad as the local aquatic centre is at the bottom of the hill . Plus it’s cheap admission for a family and u can shower there as a bonus, which beats van showers. Rhonda hosted upto 6 vans when we were there / 3 groups . Water tap availability at the information centre in town. BYO fire wood . Plenty on the road side on the way in.

The spot was absolutely beautiful, but just be aware when booking (even if you think you’re securing all available sites), that there could be extra campers added on and you’ll need to share the fire area as no other fires allowed. There ended up 8 families needing to share the fire area and jetty. The other families were lovely, but we were a bit squashed in.
We had a great time, but doubt we’ll be back

A perfect camping experience! Rhonda is such a kind and authentic host with a magical spot on the water. We loved spending the day on the jetty having a fish with a perfect backdrop of natural busy. We’ll definitely be back!

Had the pleasure of having the whole camp ground to ourselves.
It was peaceful and quiet.
She has a stunning property, with your own little jetty and fire pit right on the water front.
Rhonda was very lovely and made us feel very welcome.
We enjoyed a beautiful kayak down the river that she has for guests to use and tried our luck at fishing.
Your all only 10mins from town which is convenient.
Highly recommend this place ☺️

Where to start….
1. Rhonda was an incredible host!! Extremely lovely and generous! Made us feel like we were family
2. Plenty of space, amazing property, very clean and well maintained! Great location on the river but only 10 mins out of town. 3 mins to the winery!
This is the perfect place for a disconnect, kid friendly. Other guests were also extremely friendly!
We can’t wait to go back! Highly highly recommend you try out Rhonda’s place! I can’t see how anyone would be disappointed.

Rhonda was a lovely host. She came down to the site and checked in everyday, as well as provide my partner and I seats and ores for the canoes they have on site.
She was knowledgeable about where dump points were, which was very helpful. The site itself is beautiful and quiet. The campfire and pier were great places to cook food and hang out. Highly recommend.

What a gorgeous property! We feel so lucky to have been one of the first groups to stay on Rhonda's Hipcamp. We camped up on the hill overlooking the river and had the most stunning sunsets! Perfectly located close to Lakes Entrance for a beach day and a pub meal but far enough away to feel isolated in nature. The fire pit was such a nice touch and we cooked dinner here a few times. Thank you for having us Rhonda!

Blackwood Arm fast became our favorite Hipcamp so far. Ten minutes from the Lakes Entrance township we spent 5 peaceful and fun filled days and nights . Sharing the spot with 4 other hipcampers not an issue with more than ample space for us all to have our own private patch with the option of socialising around the amazing communal fire pit at night if you felt like it. The Jetty is a great size, functional and beautiful whether you are fishing, swimming, kyaking or enjoying a quiet drink as the sun sets. Rhonda was the perfect host, friendly helpful, nothing was too much trouble, welcomed us with a printed guide/information sheet on arrival and we enjoyed her recommendation lunching at the local winery only a stones throw away. Thank you Rhonda for opening up your beautiful piece of paradise.

We enjoyed 5 nights at Rhonda’s property. Peaceful and relaxing, the jetty and fire pit area is beautiful.
Rhonda was a lovely host who was on hand if needed. Would recommend this site to other campers.
Also, Check out the winery just up the road from Rhonda’s place. Highly recommend!
