Located on the edge of the lake, our gorgeous lake house can accommodate a caravan or motorhome on a designated parking pad. There’s also plenty of room to pitch a tent or swag on flat, grassy areas. A huge deck provides the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The lake house includes a small kitchenette and a separate toilet and shower.
Bring a fishing rod to try your luck catching silver perch, or nets for yabbies — there are plenty!
There’s an abundance of birdlife, including cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots, kookaburras, and tawny frogmouths. Kangaroos and echidnas often pay us a visit, too.
A grassed area with a fire pit is situated a few metres from the lake house, and firewood is available for purchase.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A grassy dog enclosure is available for guests who wish to explore the area while leaving their pet in a safe space. If you would like to bring your pet, please add the pet fee which is listed as an Extra during the booking process.

Lovely bushwalks, motorbike, and horse tracks are located close to the property.

Logans Beach Day Spa and a female gym is 5 minute walk up the road from the property. Proudfoots, a historic restaurant, on the Hopkins River about a 15 minute stroll across the bridge and along the river walk past the boat moorings. They are well known for delicious food, great place to go for tea or weekend breakfast. There is also a walking /riding track and board walk promenade that will follows the foreshore and finishes at the Break Water passing the Warrnambool Surf Club, Lake Pertobe and some terrific restaurants, Simons and The Pavilion to note, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch.
The CBD is only 5 minutes drive from the property great variety of restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and speciality shops as well as supermarkets and other large chain stores such as, Woolworths, Coles, Audi, K-Mart and Target.
Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used, and Bill Mollison and David Holgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible.
Although the property has town water connected, for most of the year it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used on many of the gardens.
We have organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation.

Aireys inlet is a unique tiny town with so much to do. The local beach is iconic for surfing and swimming, the local creek is a favourite at the inlet for young kids to swim or for canoeists to have somewhere quiet to paddle. Mountain biking is a must in the area, with thousands of tracks available right outside the back door.
If you have your own horse you can bring it along on holiday with you, we have paddocks available and there are so many gorgeous tracks around to ride on and beach riding at low tide and the right times is a bucket list item!
The location itself is 17 acres and is next to the Painkallac creek in a peaceful bush setting. This location used to be a horse riding school which is now not running but has been converted to offer camping, caravan and RV parking. It’s only 1.5 km from the beach and the Otway national park is right on your doorstep. If you have bikes, horses or love to hike or run, or just laze on the beach, it’s a perfect location, be ready to be spoilt as there are so many tracks on offer in our stunning local beach and bush land.
The local town of aireys inlet has plenty to offer, a general store for all your essentials, loads of places to eat out for breakfast, lunch or dinner and only 1 3/4hrs from Melbourne.
No need to stress if you don’t want to be near anyone else, this is a small setting so it’s very private and its only got one space to rent so that you have peace and quiet. If you do have friends and want to book a double space please just message me and I can open up another space for you.
I also have an option to add a pottery class for you, the cost is $50 a person for a two hour session.

Please note that we are on tank water and please be careful to turn taps off and follow the instructions we have near each of the water sources.
Fires are allowed as long as the fire ban guidelines are followed. No ground fires allowed. We have fire pits available for you to use free of charge or bring your own. There is also plenty of wood around the place that you are welcome to pick up. But we recommended you bring some of the bigger logs with you.
Just a 5 minute drive to the magnificent 90 mile beach and plenty of bush tracks to go walking or bike riding.
The township of Woodside is just up the road has a service station/Post office/shop. 15 minutes to township of Yarram and 35mins to Sale city.
Given we are a small campground with neighbours nearby we ask that all campers please be considerate of them and their fellow campers. If you like to party then this is not the place for you.

We had such a lovely stay, even though it was just one night, we left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Victoria made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived and it was so nice chatting with her. Our dog had the best time playing with Moose, which made it even more special for us. The facilities and shower were great, the whole spot felt peaceful and spacious, with plenty of room for us to camp and for our dog to run around. We’d happily stay again!

Wayne was friendly and welcoming, with great insights to the entire island. The paddock was spacious with only a few sites spread out, and lush grass with no prickles or bindis - great for kids barefoot. It’s in a great central location, only a short drive to everything. And watching the stunning sunsets in front of a campfire topped it all off! We’ll definitely be back again.

Weekend Trip to Tarwin Lower Eco Studio (Off Grid)
Jo's place is absolutely beautiful--we woke up to the most incredible flurry of birds in the tree outside the window by the bed. We loved the wood-burning stove, and had breakfast both mornings out on the patio. We had everything we needed and couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Great spot, just off the highway, close to the general store, but also very quiet. Hosts were helpful and offer little extras like bikes, kayaks, fresh vegetables as part of the stay. Would happily stay there again.

We had 3 nights here. Very nice rural setting only 10 minutes from centre of Cowes. Stayed on Site 4 nice open area. Met the host very friendly.

Epic spot for an easy camp set up and close to the penguins so easy trip back after seeing those!
Couple big ants around but that’s pretty standard for this part of the world! Absolutely incredible stars at night time super dark part of the world but yeah good as, owner very friendly

We loved our stay here. The view is amazing (from all sites). We also had the tiny house which had everything we needed to add a bit of luxury to our camping trip. Nigel made sure we had enough firewood to sit around the fire enjoying the amazing starlit night. Highly recommend this Hipcamp!

I had a wonderful, peaceful stay here.
Wayne was super helpful from time of the booking, updating with arrival details and on my day of arrival, quick to help out.
I really enjoyed the peace and pretty much had the place to myself.
Early morning I woke to local birdsong and spotted some wildlife on my walks.
The location was perfect, close to the beautiful rugged coast, but a short drive in to grab a coffee and nice walk along the foreshore.
I highly recommend staying here.

Best Hipcamp experience yet. Victoria was such an amazing host and was so good with the kids. The property is so peaceful yet so alive with bird song. The lake house is very handy and well stocked with utensils and equipment and the pizza oven worked a treat. The kids loved the horses and the dogs. My daughter is missing Moose already.

We love Jo's Studio. Beautiful inside and out. This time around, we used the fireplace which added to the cosiness. Great location, close to Venus Bay and beautiful Walkerville South. Highly recommended!
