Grandview is located on 8 acres in the township of Buchan. The campsites have beautiful mountain views and the property is close to the Buchan River.
The property is a great place to base yourself, within walking distance to the Buchan Caves Hotel, Roadhouse, General Store and the world acclaimed Buchan Caves. Take a 1/2 day or full day trip into the mountains and see the mighty Snowy River and Little River Gorge. Buchan is also a 45 minute drive to the ocean and the 90 mile beach.
Grandview is one of the original homesteads of Buchan, which we are in the process of lovingly restoring.
We have the belief that this place is to be shared. We love where we live and this is our way of sharing the beauty of the Buchan and surrounding valleys.

The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs.
Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower.

Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air.
The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground.
There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people. Especially Daz who will be your best friend while you stay here.
If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as Daz loves people.
Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole.

Venture into the wilderness to witness the dance of local wildlife in their native habitat, serenaded by the enchanting melodies of birdsong and the majestic call of stag deer roaring to a doe for mating. Wildcroft Estate is perfect for people who love hiking and anyone just looking for a getaway during the long weekends. You can escape here and catch sight of varied species of wildlife as the sun rises or sets. There are fire/grill pits on the campsites and man/woman toilets and showers.
A rotonda for our guests as a communal area where you can enjoy a firepit while having a drink and a yarn. Dog-friendly dogs are allowed but on leashes.
Horse riding, visitors who enjoy horseback riding are invited to explore the rolling hills and scenic trails of our property on their own horses. yards are available at an extra cost and a nice and early countryman breakfast can be arranged as well. Groups are welcome.

This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself.
Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights).
The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole.
Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket.
Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming.
***Pit-toilet (portable) available:
- There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only.
***Keep Clean.
-We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival.
***Warning.
-Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property.
***Fire Wood:
- You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have.

-The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

Hidden Valley House is nestled in Anakie, VIC, set within the scenic Brisbane National Ranges and only a 1-hour drive from Melbourne CBD.
Taking into consideration our ethos around sustainability, the cabin is “off-grid” so solar powered with a composting toilet but with all the amenities you need. The cabin has spectacular views overlooking the valley with an abundance of wildlife and has a small creek and several caves which have formed over millions of years.
As well as the cabin, we offer a camping area to larger groups that need overflow accommodation if the cabin is not big enough. This makes Hidden Valley House a fantastic option for large groups wanting to have all the comfort and amenities of the cabin, but experience the back-to-basic joy of camping in nature.
Set on an 18-acre property at the start of the Brisbane National Ranges, it is home to koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, sugar gliders and an abundance of birds including eagles and kookaburras. Furthermore, the land is protected by Trust for Nature and Land for Wildlife offering long-term protection for many ecosystems, species and native wildlife.
The property is surrounded by national parks and is only a short drive from charming, historical towns such as Meredith and Steiglitz and only 25mins to Geelong. A number of family-owned wineries are located nearby and within Victoria’s Moorabool Valley winery.

This was our second visit to Grace's Land, and it absolutely lived up to every wonderful memory we had from our first time. We brought along 10 friends to celebrate my partner's birthday, and we genuinely could not have asked for a better setting to make it special.
The facilities made everything so easy and comfortable — ample bathrooms meant no morning queues, the massive BBQ was perfect for group cooking, the fridge kept everything fresh, and there were plenty of tables and chairs for everyone to spread out and relax. Having fireplace options was the cherry on top for those cosy evening wind-downs.
We had the best time cooking big meals together, gathering around the fire for long chats, playing with adorable Spot the dog, and taking a moment to pat the horses.
The only downside? We had to leave! We were already talking about our next trip on the drive home. If you're looking for a spot that handles a big group with ease while still feeling warm and personal, look no further. We'll absolutely be back — we just wish we could have stayed longer!

Chrissy has a lovely property with walking trails close by and only about 10 minutes to Bendigo CBD.
There is power and water along with a camp shower and toilet. Everything is nice and clean.
We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again.

Chrissy was very warm and welcoming, and kindly helped us out with a couple of things when it became apparent I forgot them.
Power, water, toilet and shower available and all in decent nick.
Plenty of space for your setup.
Fire pit at each site, and a central sheltered spot with table, fire pit and chairs.
Feels very rural but is only 15 minutes from Bendigo.
Plenty of friendly animals to keep the kids entertained.

We had an awesome stay at Wildcroft – it’s exactly what you want when you’re looking to properly switch off and get out of the city.
The property itself is huge, with rolling hills and plenty of space to spread out, so it never feels crowded. We spent most of our time just relaxing, exploring, and hiking up the hills – the views are worth it, especially early morning and around sunset.
One of the highlights was the early morning deer tour with the local professional hunters. Such a unique experience and something you definitely wouldn’t get at a typical campsite – it really adds to the whole “country escape” feel.
Easter Sunday was another standout, with breakfast with Grace. It was a great touch and made the stay feel a bit more special and personal. Grace was welcoming, helpful and most importantly super friendly, as was the Spot!
Facilities were spot on for a farm stay – clean toilets and showers, and the rotunda BBQ area is a great communal space if you want it.
We also checked out the Moto Guzzi museum, which was a cool little bonus and worth a visit if you’re into bikes or just want to explore the area a bit.
Overall, this is one of those places that nails the balance between relaxing, unique experiences, and comfort. We’d definitely come back.

We had a great time camping at this site! Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and directed towards the large field where you can pick a spot to set up.
There's a toilet/shower block with separate male/female sides. These amenities were very clean and having a hot shower in the mornings was a massive bonus.
There's hundreds of acres for you to hike/roam just behind the field and the views are absolutely incredible.
There's a fair amount to do and see in the surrounding area, we went up to Yea, a really nice town with two great bakeries.
The real stars of the show were Mr Harry and Spot, two lovely dogs who came to visit our site, usually when we were cooking.
We highly recommend staying here!

It was a fantastic experience staying on Grace’s property. The camping paddock looks out over rolling hills, making for some incredible sunsets. There’s nothing quite like waking up to morning mist and horses nearby. Grace was a very gracious host who went out of her way to connect with her guests.

Great campsite, and very beautiful surroundings with horses, dogs and deer in the hills. Grace’s dogs, Spot and Harry, visited us multiple times (they are very cute and friendly) and other campers had dogs too. Toilets and showers were clean with hot water available.
Definitely check out the Moto Guzzi museum next door as well!

What an amazing weekend at Wildecroft on Grace's Land! We will definitely be back and would recommend this spot to anyone in Melbourne looking for a peaceful, picturesque escape from the city but without a long drive. We brought our dog who had an even better time than we did, and made himself so many besties.
The space is massive so you don't feel on top on anyone and have plenty of room to spread your setup out, it's not numbered and cramped like other campgrounds we've been to.
The walks you have access to are to die for, and the hosts Grace and Anouk are the loveliest and chillest people.
Already thinking about our next trip back after winter.
