If you don't like dogs, this isn't the campsite for you. I have 5 of them, 4 little yappers and a one year old Rotwieller named Lillith. She is very friendly, loves kids, but she's a big meat head who is still learning. I use a squirter bottle to keep her settled. One look at that and she's off. I'll supply you with yours while you are here. 🤗 The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs. Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people. Lily the Rotwieller is only 12 months old and very playful. She has a thing for shoes, so please make sure they are always hidden away. Along with anything else you don't want a naughty puppy to make a meal of. If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as my dogs love people. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Be sure to check out coffee houses down little laneways and the many culinary options of the restaurants in town.

Four of them will leave you to camp in peace, but the Staffy Daz will hang out with you and be your very best friend. 🐶 This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. We have on offer a lovely spacious caravan equipped with cooking facilities and private shower. Toilet is a shared toilet on the property. Heating and cooling, sleeps 4 comfortably. Can turn table into extra bed if needed. Sit under the verandah and enjoy a cold bevvy after a long day exploring Bendigo. Perfect for family getaways, sports events or just a quiet stay under the stars.

A Nice Surprise

A clean and spacious paddock in a quite spot. We spend 3 days here and would come back again. Although the weather was cold we felt comfortable knowing there was clean toliets, a warm outdoor private onsight shower, rubbish bins and fire pits! 4 other campers where quitely spaced out during our stay over a weekend most people kept to themselves.

We enjoyed Chrissy’s hospitality and the company of her lovely pups. We were staying on site 3 in our opinion the most private especially if you back in. Power & water available but a long connection needed. We would definitely recommend anyone needing a quick escape and very good value for money

My family and I loved Chrissy’s property and the hospitality she showed welcomed us with open arms. Her dogs were a hit with my kids and already asking us if we can return another day. Look no further if you want the tranquility of the country but not so distant from bendigo if you want to switch it up a bit.

Chrissy is a wonderful host. Showed us where the facilities are located for easy access. Got to meet the sweet dogs and cats too! Overall my husband and I had a wonderful stay at Whip stick forest. It's generously sized and gave us plenty of room to set up comfortably. The surrounding trees somehow created a nice barrier adding privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. It was a nice 3 days just to get away from the bustle of melbourne. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice little getaway😊❤️

Chrissy's place was perfect. Views over the old mining poppet head. Chrissy was very welcoming, with suggestions of what to do and see in area. An added surprise for my wife to cuddle her rabbits. Highly recommended her place, a short drive to Bendgio.

Chrissy has a lovely property with walking trails close by and only about 10 minutes to Bendigo CBD. There is power and water along with a camp shower and toilet. Everything is nice and clean. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again.

Chrissy was very warm and welcoming, and kindly helped us out with a couple of things when it became apparent I forgot them. Power, water, toilet and shower available and all in decent nick. Plenty of space for your setup. Fire pit at each site, and a central sheltered spot with table, fire pit and chairs. Feels very rural but is only 15 minutes from Bendigo. Plenty of friendly animals to keep the kids entertained.

Son and I loved the big grassy open space with working hot showers and flushing toilets. 5 mins from Bendigo where we explored but still felt like we were out bush. Will definitely be back. Be warned Lily the 10 month old puppy loves sandals and collecting goodies, so it’s your own fault if you leave them lying around the night before. Finders keepers

Very welcoming, warm and helpful. I was in a bit of a spot with a camper power malfunction and Chrissy was most helpful. There's also a wonderful menagerie of dogs, birds and other creatures there. The shower is a beauty.
