Smith x Willow is a 40 acre property located 10km from the country town of Murchison Victoria.
The property is set within bushland and open farm paddocks on slightly undulating land. A small lake is on the property.
We offer one large campsite, with ample space available for camping/caravans/motor homes to park up in quiet bushland surrounds.
Shade is available on the site.
Please note the small lake varies in size depending on rain/drought conditions.
Swimming is not allowed but fine for a spot of fishing or for pets to have a dip.
Wildlife and bird life on the property.
Peaceful with minimal neighbours and no traffic. Bush roads for miles for bushwalking/bike riding.
Waterways of Goulburn River, Nagambie Lakes and Waranga Basin within 10 to 30 minutes drive of the campsite.
Campfires allowed in the designated fire pit during cooler months.
Firewood is not provided but feel free to forage for timber/kindling around the campsite.

This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself.
Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights).
The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole.
Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket.
Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming.
***Pit-toilet (portable) available:
- There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only.
***Keep Clean.
-We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival.
***Warning.
-Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property.
***Fire Wood:
- You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have.

-The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

Granite Springs is a working farm running various farm animals and working horses. You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay(as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards)
There are dams and a seasonal creek running through the property, providing many options for campsites and also fishing(catch and release) (Please note creek is seasonal and not suitable for swimming). Very relaxing stay in a beautiful rural setting. We had the whole paddock to ourselves and Anneke's hosting was lovely. We got introductions to all the animals and were loaned a couple of kites which made my boys day! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we shall be returning.

Camp was great! Plenty of space! The fire pit was a hit and ample fire wood around the property. We were fortunate to have a mix of weather (no rain; yay!) for the most amazing sky views at night by the fire. Close to town for supplies and a great pub for a meal. Loved it.

My family stayed here over the cup weekend. We had a great time with the kids loving feeding the animals and fishing in the dam. The camp area was very clean with fire pit and a bin plus a water tap. The host Anneke was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and kind. With only a short drive into Daylesford the location was great. Highly recommend and we will be back.

We had a great weekend camping at the sunset camp site and there was lots of room on nice grass. Me, my girlfriend and dogs had lots of fun patting and feeding the goats and ponies and went for a walk. Anneke was very helpful and cared a lot about her farm and was very welcoming.

We stayed a few nights and as we left my wife commented that she thought it was the best Hipcamp property we've ever stayed at.
The simple fact that Ginette has kept it as a single booking site was appreciated and made it perfect.
Loads of options regarding where to camp in a nice large cleared area, either in the open or by the shade. The outlook over the lake/dam was excellent. It was quiet and peaceful. A firepit and some wood was provided and there's plenty of fallen timber to collect on the property.
Only fair that fires aren't permitted over the warmer months.
Highly recommend a visit !

Granite Springs is a great Hip Camp. We were in Campsite 5. It was amongst the trees and very peaceful. The views were fantastic. We had a hybrid caravan and two camper trailers. The track in was accommodating for all RVs.

Our extended family all got together for an incredible camping experience with Anneke’s absolutely glorious property in Blampied. The camping paddock is impeccable and safely fenced so we could let our dogs (& kids!) race around like lunatics while we were at our camp site.
There was bale-leaping and tree-climbing… incredible campfires, smore-making and singalongs… worm-hunting and fishing in the dam… bush-walking and hut-building with a side of “bush golf” down in the beautiful uncleared bushland… feeding and patting miniature ponies and boats and sheep and the cheekiest young alpaca… egg collecting and chook-petting…. it truely was a heavenly 4 nights of wonderful fun. Every single one of us left happily exhausted with over-flowing cups.
Anneke is a beautiful and warmly welcoming host who absolutely went above and aboard to ensure everyone was comfortable and had anything and everything they needed…. There was a windy day and out she came with kites for the kids to fly!
Our family decided on the very first night that we would make this an annual event at Anneke’s property - it was just such a privilege to stay somewhere so beautifully, and lovingly maintained…. With so much at our doorstep.
