WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block in Four Mile Creek, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, bodywork, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a fully equipped communal kitchen with fresh running hot & water, solar lights and gas cookers, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a fully equipped communal kitchen with fresh running hot & water, solar lights and gas cookers, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. Located opposite a cherry orchard close to supermarkets and food outlets, the property has land for off grid self contained camping and caravans. Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the property. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.

Positives: Beautiful soft, well kept lawn to set up on. We didn't even bother using our mat. A choice of full sun or full/part shaded areas. Abundant bird life. Relatively easy access to the river up near the bridge. Looked like a good spot to launch kayaks, fish or swim with caution. Fire drums and stone fire areas provided to some sites Negatives: (if you want to be pedantic) *Very small signs - we found it, but 4 vans drove past and had to turn around. * only 1 river access, which many times was being used by day visitors so access was restricted

We loved Old Mac’s Farm. So many areas to camp in that are suitable for all different types of self contained campers. We travel in a small camper and found a lovely sheltered spot. Love it that you can have a look around, choose the spot that suits, then check in. This place is so well organised, clean and the check-in system is seamless using Hipcamp or the self check in booths. Firewood, fire pits, potable water are all so easy to access. A lot of work goes into managing a place for us all to enjoy. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

Great location to use as a base to explore Hobart and the area. You are literally on a small paddock alongside a fairly busy road with mostly grass and well maintained. The road traffic did ease off after 9pm but by 6.30am the trucks are back up and down the road. It’s a well used road. Fully fenced area so both kids and dogs are safe. Large trampoline for the kids and fire pits. Rob is a super host and very welcoming. Thanks for having us.

We absolutely loved our stay here. So beautifully done, well signposted and the scenery and serenity is amazing. Each site has their own fire pit to use. The goats were a highlight for our two boys, feeding them carrots and apples! Fishing right infront of our caravan was brilliant, the fairy garden was a lovely touch, the mountain bike trail was loved by our 6yo and the communal area was brilliant. 100/10. Definitely recommend!

Heaven on Earth. A quiet, tucked away spot, with babbling brook, green pastures, kookaburras and lots of shade. The location is central (1 hour to Cradle Mountain, 20 mins to Burnie, or stay on site forever - it's that nice). The caretakers keep the place looking amazing all year round, and are the friendliest bunch. Bathroom and shower are regularly cleaned. You have to check this spot out on your next camping trip.
