Private riverside caravan site in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. Exclusive use, peaceful surrounds, and just minutes from historic Richmond. Escape on the edge of a quiet Tasmanian farm — part of a larger working 80 acre property, with open paddocks, fresh air, and a slower pace to unwind, reconnect, and reset. Set along the Coal River in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region, this site is designed for one booking at a time. One powered caravan site set within your own private riverside space. Travelling with others? Simply add extra vehicles (per vehicle) during booking to include the unpowered spaces. Whether you’re a couple, family, or group of friends, you’ll have the space to settle in and enjoy it your way. Located just 8 minutes from historic Richmond and 2 minutes from Campania, the site is close to local wineries and cellar doors, and within easy reach of local attractions — while still feeling peaceful and tucked away. Please note: This site is for fully self-contained caravans, campervans, or RVs only. The Stay: One powered caravan site set within your own private riverside space. By the River: Mornings are slow with coffee outside, birds in the trees, and the Coal River alongside. Spend your days kayaking, fishing, or relaxing by the riverbank. You may spot a platypus, and in season, wild blackberries grow nearby. Evenings: Gather around the fire as the day winds down. Dinner stretches out, conversations continue, and at night the sky fills with stars — sometimes with the aurora visible. What a little gem just a few minutes out of Richmond and surrounded by wineries. We had a great time, great view, very tranquil and hardy a vehicle on the road. We felt a million miles away, we will be back for sure :-)

We spent three fantastic nights here. Its a beautiful property on the river with plenty of flat ground for caravans, trailers or rooftop tent in our case. The hosts were more than welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. Couldn't recommend this spot more if you are looking for somewhere peaceful to camp.

A lovely spot for a few nights with a pretty outlook. I spotted a platypus in the river too. We are fully self contained, but did enjoy having access to power as a bonus. Isabelle was very understanding and accomodating when I made an error with my booking. Thank you for having us.

Quiet spot there is a road above but its not a busy road. We did not find the river very accessible (not that we tried) hubby did have a few flicks of the rod after hearing fish jumping but no luck. Was still nice and relaxing overlooking the river and the reflections in the water, enjoyed a fire each night with the wood supplied. Look for Richard the Rooster who nests in a tree across the river each night, he was happy to wake us up with his cock-a-doodle-dooing. If you like a quiet spot for just you or you and some friends this is the spot for you.

We had 4 nights at the property. Great spot, private and had the block to ourselves. Great for the dogs because they could run around off lead. Big positive was the power. Great hosts, came down to check on us twice. Highly recommend this stay.
