On a clear night, the stars are amazing. We are only a 15 minutes drive from Coffin Bay and its fresh seafood, stunning beaches, fishing and water activities. There are National Parks within easy reach where you can enjoy 4Wdriving, hiking and swimming. Guests are welcome to bring their horses with them for the duration of their stay. Please contact the host beforehand if you would like to bring your horse so we can prepare. We have great horse facilities, including a large sand arena, round yard, yards and places to ride, including a beautiful beach not far from here. Welcome to your dream destination!! We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. Below you can see details for our Farm stays or Emu Bay Hideaway camp spots. Check below to see what sites are currently open. Emu Bay Hideaway has 30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay. Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather. There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water. Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council). IMPORTANT: I have very limited access to the Internet, only periodically every few days, if that, therefore, I may take some time to respond to inquiries. We have plenty of campsites, including bush campsites that are secluded and private, along with campsites that are much closer to our bathrooms, group accommodation, kitchens and bush cabins. Here at Pichi Richi Park, there are a number of signposted walking tracks ranging in distance from a few km up to a 10km+ loop. The Heysen Trail comes through our property for nearly 7km and some of our own walking tracks link with the Heysen as it meanders through our property. You can also ride your mountain bike around and the Mawson Bike Trail is not far away. We have over 1,000 acres of land around our accommodation that we do not graze as we are allowing this beautiful piece of Aussie outback to return to its original and pristine state. We are not a caravan park, so all campers and caravanners that come here get a fair bit of space and nobody is on top of anyone else. Quorn is our local town and is 13km away to the north. Quorn has 2 pubs, a number of cafes and a little supermarket that is open from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week. The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead Wood can be delivered to your site for a small fee, but please let us know a few days before arrival if needing, so we can process your order, or your welcome to bring your own. Strictly no chainsaws on our properties please. We are fully off grid camping, so generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times STRICTLY NO MOTORBIKES RIDDEN ON PROPERTY If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. Located at the end of a bitumen road in the town of Beltana, the campsites are adjacent to the local hall. There are showers, toilets, a free BBQ in the community park , mobile phone coverage and potable water available We are the closest campground to the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. Beltana is a State Heritage listed town in Adnyamathanha country. Beltana is important as it is the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was influential in the establishment of the Overland Telegraph and was important is the states early settlement. Beltana has survived in spite of the challenges and has an excellent walking trail detailing this history for visitors. There is capacity to have a fire in a communal fire pit, but please bring your own wood. Dogs on leashes welcome. This campsite offers a safe and comfortable place for campers who are travelling through on their holiday and need somewhere to stop overnight, but two nights is recommended to give you a chance to visit this historic town. The town is significant is South Australian history and there is interpretative signage that provides the visitor with an informative trail. Whilst with us visit the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. We have the closest camping facilities.

Campsites are located on level grassy area. Flushing toilets, fire pit and firewood available. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for small and larger groups. Please note that our property has work dogs who live nearby and love to visit guests. When you arrive there is a map located on the right hand side of the driveway entrance with the sites marked. You are welcome to find your site get comfortable. We will welcome you at some stage! Please contact us if you'd like to book for more guests than listed and we will do our best to accommodate. Campground has shared facilities and respect of each other and the land is critical. We are a leave no trace site, which means everything you bring in you must take with you, which includes rubbish and broken things. The bins at the entrance are for residents only and as they are only collected fortnightly cannot cater for more than those who live here. Firewood can be brought in by you or we will provide wood for $30/night per site. Pindari Park is a beautiful 130 acre cliff top property that offers both North and South views of the River Murray. Situated on the western bank (cliff side) overlooking the most Northerly point of the river and the township of Cadell SA. Pindari means “From the high ground” from the aboriginal origin and was originally apart of the Nor’ West Bend Station (est. 1850) that stretched from Overland Corner to Burra. The Nor’ West Bend Station next door is now a heritage listed private residence. With Pindari Park’s scattered native trees, saltbush and mallee shrubs bringing an abundance of wildlife to the property, sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity. While you sit at the camps sites, enjoy watching the Cadell Ferry, appreciate birds and wildlife, or just enjoy the river boats on their journey up or down our mighty River Murray. You just might be able to catch one of the cruise boats or paddle steamers cruise past, make sure you give them a wave as they pass by. Pindari Park has many gravel roads and tracks to follow for taking a hike/walk, however, please note that this property is on a cliff, therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times. Each campsite has a fire pit area that can be used during May to October each year (fire ban period is November to April each year). If we are fully booked we will open up our cliff top fire pit near the cottage for all to enjoy (Contact Us Prior to booking). During October and November the cottage gardens are open to the public (Contact Us Prior for open days), with over 130 roses, many native trees and other plant varieties, you can wander around the gravel paths of our numerous our garden rooms and the orchard. Take a drive into to Morgan (9 kms) and visit the Old Wharf Port and the Landseers Museum or catch the Cadell Ferry and head across the river to visit the Spook Hill Winery or to use the local boat ramp. Notes: - Cliff-top property, may not be suitable for young children. Caution to be taken at all times. - NO River Access. - NO dumping of rubbish. - NO dumping of toilet waste, nearest dump points are located in Morgan and Cadell. - Pets/Dogs – must be on a lead at all times. - Nearest Boat Ramp – Cadell. - Cadell and Morgan both have fuel distributors and general stores.

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda. Campfires welcome when not in fireban season. You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Welcome to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately-owned conservancy focused on providing habitat for native animals to live in the wild. Since 1997 the Sanctuary has worked to conserve and protect the natural resources within its boundaries, especially the native Australian flora and fauna. We have a BEACH camp site available that offer spectacular ocean views of the wild south coast. Campers will have access to a pit toilet during their stay. There is a 2 night maximum stay. You will find plenty of sightseeing opportunities and interesting places to visit within easy reach of Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Although much of the western end of Kangaroo Island was severely impacted by the January 2020 bushfires, the uniquely Australian story of rebirth and regeneration after fire is compelling. Much of the western end of Kangaroo Island is covered in parks and reserves and it is often referred to as the natural end of the Island. You will find large areas of pristine natural bushland, numerous native wildlife, spectacular, rugged coastal cliffs and beautiful seascapes and beaches. Throughout the wilderness areas you will also discover old buildings and ruins which have been preserved because of their historical role in the development of the island. And if that is not enough to hold your interest, you can swim in the bay, fish from a sandy beach, dive some ship wrecks, surf some big waves, go sand boarding or go bush walking, Whatever your interest, you will find plenty of things to do on your next holiday at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. FLINDERS CHASE NATIONAL PARK The Flinders Chase National Park covers much of the western end of Kangaroo Island. The park has a diverse range of wildlife including Platypus, Kangaroos, Koalas and Cape Barren Geese. Flinders Chase offers stunning coastal landscapes, vast areas of wilderness and a variety of recreational opportunities. There is a network of walking trails throughout the park providing you with numerous bushwalking opportunities. REMARKABLE ROCKS Remarkable Rocks is an impressive cluster of sculpted granite boulders perched on a huge rounded granite dome that drops steeply away to the surging seas some 70 metres below. ADMIRALS ARCH Admirals Arch is a spectacular archway formed by the relentless waves pounding the cliffs and cutting a path through the cliffs. There is also a colony of New Zealand Fur seals that bask on the rocks below Admirals Arch. Plus so much more to see and do! Limited phone reception. Sorry, no pets.

There are livestock on the property, please do not approach livestock unless Host is with you. Just a short drive of 30 minutes to the town of Burra you can enjoy the Passport Key and see the rich heritage of the copper mining era. Jamestown is 25 minutes drive where you can explore the bundaleer forest or see the tesla battery.

Your site will be near a dry creek bed near large trees in an open space where you may explore freely within the Creek Paddock which is about 5 acres. This is a horse property, so getting close to a horse is a strong possibility. Sunset and sunrise on the Flinders Ranges are beautiful, as are the morning clouds when they push up over the ranges. Mt Remarkable and the range running northward is what you will see. You will be greeted by wildlife, including Kangaroo and Euro, bird life, and many smaller critters who may be surreptitiously checking you out. This is a natural space so the ground is undulating. Vans and campers will be able to level without issue providing you carry items to help you with this. The access is year-round with the exception of extreme fire danger periods. In summer it is dry and dusty. The site is located about 200 meters from the main house. **Please respect our privacy and that of my other guests and keep your wanderings to the Hipcamp Site of creek paddock boundary. This is also for your safety. **Check out is by 9am. This is important as I hold other activities onsite including Equine Assisted Learning and Rewilding Retreats, that require no interruptions or observers. **Pets must be physically restrained at all times. e.g. lead, crate. This is for the pets safety and that of the horses, livestock and wildlife on the property.
