We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, pig. So tough plastic boxes are great to hide your food items. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. If you do an instant booking and I don't see it or reply, don't stress, as your welcome to drive on in and straight up the laneway to the back paddock area. Yes: Rocky Creek Homestead is the venue for ""Camping with Goats"! Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. This host is named Guy. He is awesome - made my stay very pleasant. I did the animal feeding experience, extra feeding bucket , and got some fresh eggs from the host. I highly recommend adding these to your booking. The site is clean and private, with magnificent views of the surrounding hills and mountains The onsite 24/7 toilet and showers (with hot water) was the best. 10/10 !!

What an amazing place, the site is massive, so secluded, private and peaceful. Two beautiful swimming holes to cool off in. Access to the creek is easy and there is a rope to assist getting in and out for the deeper swimming hole. The wildlife is amazing to sit and watch and the cows come right up to the roped off site too. Would highly recommend this site to anyone. The hosts are brilliant, so friendly and great communication and to be able to buy firewood from them makes the stay so much better. We will be back again for sure!

I had an amazing stay at this campground. The grounds were absolutely immaculate, and host Ben was incredibly accommodating and genuinely lovely to chat with. The spa bath was a standout feature for me, and the friendly animals made the stay even better—we were even able to give the pigs a pat inside their pen! There was plenty of space at our site, heaps of yabbys in the dam, and the facilities were spotless and well lit at night. Everything was tidy and well looked after. Truly a fantastic place to stay!

A very well maintained property with an abundance of places to set up as close to or as faraway from other campers as you wanted The property is a working horse and cattle farm so was very nice to have livestock walking around and being able to interact with them if you wanted.

Absolutely spectacular views of the glass house mountains and Moreton bay. Lovely green pastures and horses and cows come and meet you each afternoon. Not close to others so nice and private. Ground is undulating to steep (as you’d expect on a ridge) so bring plenty of levelling blocks. We’ll definitely be back!
