Great spot away from the hustle and bustle of modern life…quite a drive away from any towns but that suited us just fine. Creek at the bottom of the drive for kids to play in, Cosy fire for winter and nothing but the sound of nature to greet you in the morning!

Comfortable dogs, amazing having the bunk house to ourselves!

Weekend Trip to Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat

Staying in the Bunk Cabin with 3 travelling dogs was a breezy break from swag camping! With the help of a couple portable dog fences we could hang out on the balcony & have lazy days inside, which was a welcome change during wet weather. The huge outdoor space meant we could go for stress-free walks, the amenities were 20m away & the circular common space in the middle was perfect for mingling or doggy wee breaks! My staffy loved seeing campers pull up behind us over the weekend, wagged her tail at the window the whole time 🐶 I had acquired a scared Kelpie who sleeps happiest in the canopy, the staff placed me in the far/quiet bunk house because I could park my car next to it 🥰 Very grateful for our stay!!

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Stunning views, comfortable stay, and an amazing group vibe! We had 25 people stay at this campsite, and everyone had a blast. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great group experience. Andre was very helpful with arranging wood fire and made the property welcoming before our arrival . As other campers have mentioned, curtains for the third bathroom downstairs would be nice . Overall, we as a group had great time and would definitely recommend.

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Stayed here with 18 of my mates for a long weekend where it was pissing down with rain for a fair chunk of it, but we still had an amazing time and would highly recommend. The cabin itself was well fitted out and the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfectly appointed. Only thing to add would be some curtains or blinds in the bathrooms as you can see in and with so many people we had to put some towels over the windows to make sure no one could see in. Definitely need a 4wd if it’s been raining to get up to the top, would not have made it otherwise

Weekend Trip to Lalapanzi

Such an amazing place! Everything you need is supplied even down to the pile of firewood for your stay! Comfy beds, hot showers and a great fire pit area and if you need to venture into town Toowoomba is only 15mins drive away . Rodger and Jenny were always happy to help with anything and great to have a chat with! Highly recommend this gem to anyone and everyone for a great few nights away in the peace and quiet.

Weekend Trip to Gypsy Cabin

My partner and I had a great time staying at Gypsy Cabin. We stayed during the Easter long weekend and the weather was perfect. Not too hot and cold enough to enjoy the huge firepit. The cabin felt private enough from the owner's property with the surrounding trees and wide land. The animals were friendly and approachable (especially when being fed). The host Juliette was great at communicating and she left us some firewood, animal feed and Easter eggs to enhance our stay. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we neefed to enjoy our stay. Would love to come back.

3 nights at Duchess Farm (Cabin + Tents/Vans)

2nd visit to Duchess Farm and it was more fun the second time round (thanks to the weather). It is a great place to switch off and chill with the family (but still have 4G if really needed).. The Children love interacting with and feeding the animals, and great to get around the camp fire at night for a chat. There will be a 3rd visit in the future i'm sure.

We had a fabulous time at Duchess Farm. The cabin was clean and airy with great views. My kids loved feeding all the animals and roasting marshmallows on the fire at night. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Lalapanzi

The views and and open space of the site are absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't believe how private and set up we were there. Having grown up in the bush I know a good outdoor life set up when I see one! The hot shower was extra special, as were the sweet Green Tree Frogs who came to hang out in the bathroom. The drive up is 100% 4x4 access only, only one of our 2 cars attempted (and succeeded!) And Rodger was kind enough to transport the rest of us and our belongings up the mountain. I don't say this lightly, I'll take my car (Outlander) on many a path, it almost didn't make it and you will need height under the car. The drive up was actually super fun, and we did the whole weekend with a 5 month old without any hassles at all.

Weekend Trip to Red Cedar Valley

We spent two nights at the cattlemen’s cabin for a family adventure. Had a fantastic weekend - we loved it here. The kids loved the creeks, riding on the property on their bikes and cooking marshmallows on the fire pit. We hope to return again someday.

This tiny home was a 10/10 experience. My partner & I went for my birthday & the home was beautiful, fire wood was supplied, marshmallows etc. Such an incredible experience & we would highly recommend & definitely will be returning!!!

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We are located 50km from Brisbane CBD, 1km from the Warrego Hwy, Sundowner Saloon and the country township of Marburg. We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals. Please note: Owner lives on-site next to the camp site. Shared site and facilities including shared firepit with up to 4 other groups of campers. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.
