Sometimes the best reset is as simple as spending time among the trees. At the very end of a quiet country road, our off-grid property offers privacy, nature and direct access to D'Aguilar National Park—6,500 hectares of forest, creeks, swimming holes and walking trails waiting to be explored. Whether you're here to switch off completely, cook over the fire, wander beneath the gums or challenge yourself on the steeper hikes, this is a place to slow down. Prefer something easier? There are gentle walks, peaceful rock pools perfect for quiet contemplation, and plenty of space to simply sit with nature. Mountain bikes are welcome too. Our property sits just 15 minutes from Fernvale and around 1.5 hours from Brisbane CBD, making it an easy escape that feels a world away. What you'll find Direct access to D'Aguilar National Park. Off-grid accommodation powered by rainwater. Firewood available for campfires. Peaceful bushland with abundant birdlife and wildlife. Outstanding biodiversity, recognised by koala assessment teams. Seasonal creek crossings (typically around 150mm). The property is also home to Kerry's working studio, where woodworking, welding, metal turning, restoration work and even aircraft building happen from time to time. If you're curious, some workshop experiences may be available by arrangement, or you're welcome to simply enjoy the creative atmosphere from afar. For peace of mind, a Rural Fire Service volunteer lives on the property, and while this is genuine Australian bush, the usual scary stories about wildlife are thankfully less dramatic than many people expect. If you're looking for fresh air, starry nights and a proper digital detox, this is your invitation to make time for the trees.
