Lalapanzi Heights is a secluded semi-developed exclusive campsite about 400m away from the dwellings and a base for bush hiking, exploration, bird watching or just relaxing. Your bookings are exclusive, so once you have booked, the other sites are blocked off. 2WD accessible to parking area. 4X4 access to camp site in dry conditions at drivers own risk. The road is not suitable for caravans. Walk-in access approximately 400m uphill pathway. Campfires are not available during fire ban season. A limited amount of firewood is provided but it is recommended that you bring your own if you are staying more than one night. Dogs permitted on leash, but are not allowed in the Rondavel.

Not all sites have toilets we ve now 3 toilets 1 bottom space 1 mid and 1 at top . Some campsites are more secluded than others, some have toilets some dont and of course great views. The kids will love toasting marshmallows around the campfire in the evenings. Sit back, relax and gaze at the stars. Pets welcome. The property is hilly and may be unsuitable for camper homes. No harming the wildlife, our wildlife is harmless if you do not provoke it or threaten it, Please use water wisely . There are dams and water holes and drains on the property as it is a working farm.

Indoor wood heater for your enjoyment at no extra charge. The outlook is to a wooded valley with sheep and cattle, light the campfire in the evenings and sit under the stars. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. Shack on Kent is such a hidden gem of a hip camp! This was a last minute booking due to change of the weather and what a pleasant surprise. The shack is such a quirky little place that has everything you need. We loved the addition of the indoor fire and donkey for the hot water. The area is so peaceful and quiet - we only heard the birds and the residents cows! The winter night sky was so clear we could easily see the Milkyway and the sunsets are utterly breathtaking. Rose was such a lovely host and very welcoming and helpful. We feel privileged to find this place and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Rose and Denis (and the resident cows).

Nice and functional cabin with large communal and eating areas. Clean and well maintained. Split system air conditioner with heating was helpful for cold nights and morning. The firepit outside was great for roasting marshmallows and treats! No reliable phone or wifi coverage makes for quality time so have some activities and games on hand for personal interactions.

This was a beautiful bunkhouse stay with everything I needed to refresh during my road trip! The shared camp kitchen had everything I needed, the showers were clean & hot! And the bunkhouse had plenty of storage room to spread out my gear to make sure I was ready for the next day. The lake is so beautiful & the stars that night were incredible!! Love the location, surrounded by national parks to go exploring. Thankyou so much, I will absolutely be back!

Weekend Trip to Runella

We loved staying here. The area is beautiful, the sunsets stunning, the space and quiet such a nice change from everyday life. The cabin is old school, rustic charm, with everything you need. The kids loved cooking over the open fire and being responsible for the donkey so we could all have hot showers before bed. Rose and Dennis are lovely people, and our timing even saw the kids help Rose feed the horses one afternoon. I'd recommend arriving before dark as it's easier to find however a quick call to Rose saw her and Dennis come out to meet and direct us. Highly recommend.

Such a good experience with kids! Cabin had all we needed. Despite being very cold in Toowoomba when we were there, the cabin was cosy (has heating) and the fire-pit was great. Being able to feed and interact with the animals was a highlight for the kids. Was so nice to be surrounded by wide open green space, away from the hustle bustle. We happened to be there during a full moon and it was such a beautiful moon rise, and the milky way afterwards was incredible. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing time glamping at Runella, it was absolutely paradise. The inside fire was soo lovely and the donkey experience was fun, we looked forward to our well earned baths watching the cows and sunsets. We enjoyed the peace and beautiful views from every window. A Magical, Soul-Stirring Off-Grid Sanctuary! ★★★★★ We came home. Arriving here felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, truer reality. Our wonderful host, Rose, was ready for us, but the land dictates its own pace. She was out on the tractor rolling feed for the cows, who watched our arrival with gentle, curious eyes, as if genuinely glad for the company. When she finished, she welcomed us with true warmth. Rose helped us get the off-grid fire going to heat the water—a beautiful return to the old ways. The stunning 70-year-old shed is a rustic masterpiece. Framed by two ancient bottle trees, the interior decor instantly whispered "home" to my soul, deeply resonating with my roots growing up in the bush in a faraway land. It proves the spirit of the land is universal. As the sun set, an incredible dusk engulfed the sky, almost showing off for our delight. Once darkness fell, the sky truly danced. With zero electricity and no phone signal, we were forced to disconnect from the world to truly connect with ourselves. The Milky Way was blindingly visible, guiding us home, while inside, the crackling fireplace cuddled us in warmth, whispering you are safe. Rose ensured we could reach her anytime, which was incredibly reassuring. The morning was pure magic. After a golden sunrise and some beautiful time interacting with the cows and horses, we actually went back to bed. Everything here is completely unhurried, peaceful, and deeply relaxing. We will be back in no time.
