There’s a small cabin on site, you can book the campsite either with or without this. The cabin is quite basic, it has 12v lighting with a USB port suitable for charging phones etc, and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), but you'll need to bring your own bedding.

We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away.
We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest.
There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway.
It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest.
Enjoy the spring fed dam in the warmer months. 🏊♂️

We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water.
Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds
Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed).
Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole.
A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area.
15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery).
20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun.
Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike.

Self sufficient sites are available as well in another part of The Croft property near the dam and is accessed via the main property.
Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of experiences available as extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option.
There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night.
The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around for example the sheep, ducks and chooks, turkeys So tough plastic boxes are great to keep your food items safe.
We have a mini pig (Splat) that is now in the house yard due to pushing fences and getttongbout
She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.
Baby animals are seasonal.
There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Our property is dog-friendly, keeping in mind it is a working cattle property.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.
See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD.
UPDATE as of late July 2025 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.
NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted.
NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately.
NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest.
There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway.
It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest.

We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water.

Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night.
The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.
Baby animals are seasonal.
There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.
See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD.
UPDATE as of late July 2025 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.
NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted.
NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately.
NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

Tony was very responsive and accommodating. The property is beautiful. We stayed down on one of the creek-side sites and being right next to the babbling water was lovely - plenty of rock hopping and exploring to do. The drop toilets were well kept and close enough but not too close. Sunset up on the ridge was spectacular. We were glad we took our smaller tents as our side wasn’t really flat enough for our big one. Having use of the big timber table and some bench seats made us much more comfortable. We would definitely return!

The waterfalls up creek are amazing, for anyone with a reasonable fitness level the top falls are beautiful with the ability to stand under one. The lower falls (closer to the campsite) have the ability to sit under the falls. There are also lots of little cascades in between and plenty of areas to jump in the water to cool off.
Tony was also very helpful, assisting my late arrival to my families campsite. The toilets where clean and even have a functioning light.
Our dogs also enjoyed the weekend and where able to come up to the waterfalls with us, which I wish we could do in more places.
Thankyou Tony for giving our dogs access to the great outdoors. We will be coming back

We had a lovely weekend at Northbrook Skies. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves! Well maintained campsites. We selected one down the bottom near the playground. Portaloo was clean. Peaceful surrounds and a perfect spot for a quick getaway.

Absolutely beautiful location, toilets available are clean and easy use, water was accessible for people and dogs, the owner was always lovely come n checked once if we needed anything . Would 100% recommend? An can’t wait to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful property. The creek was flowing and was great to explore, the cows were great company, and the views from the ridgeline were beautiful, especially as we were treated with clear skies. Tony was a fabulous host!!

Really lovely secluded spot close enough to travel to Dayboro for supplies, but it feels far enough away to relax immediately on arrival. We stayed with another two vans and a rooftop camper setup and there was plenty of space in the middle for games during the day and a firepit at night. The addition of a toilet and a hot shower made it a comfortable stay for everyone.

This campsite is an absolute gem. The views are stunning and instantly put you in a relaxed state. Everything was well maintained, making the stay even more comfortable. This was our third time at Northbrook skies and I know it won’t be our last! Danielle and her family are such wonderful hosts, it’s so lovely how they pop down to talk to the guests. The site was beautifully maintained as always and the play ground and flying fox are such a hit! It’s so lovely to see all the kids play. It was busy with it being Easter but you don’t feel like you’re on top of other groups which is fabulous. Can’t wait to come back again!!!

A beautiful, peaceful spot with a genuine bush camping feel, yet still an easy drive from Brisbane. The host family were fantastic: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed.
