Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather No pets please.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay. We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on cleared, grassy flats, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. UPDATE as of 11 Jan 2025 - creek is flowing, grass is growing. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD adventure park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. We have sites both near the creek and facilities and up on the plateau. Our elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT tyres and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own sealed chemical camping toilet and an ensuite/privacy tent. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Please note that arrival must be in daylight hours with sufficient time for orientation, travel to your site and set up before dark. As we are in a nature corridor, please ensure you do not collect firewood from the property grounds and take your trash out with you. There is a petrol station around the corner (corner of 19th Ave and Guineas Creek Road) with bins, firewood for sale and a water tap. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Nestled in the northern foothills of the Little Liverpool range and Minden village, Foggy Lookout Wellness Eco Retreat (FLoWER) is 53 acres of hillside bushland, rolling pastures and private hilltop campsites, with stunning views, sometimes foggy mornings and spectacular sunsets. Our property is an easy drive to many local towns in the Lockyer and Somerset regions and only an hour to Toowoomba or Brisbane city. Towns to visit north of us - Lowood, Tarampa and Fernvale and Esk. Towns west - Plainland, Laidley, Gatton and Toowoomba. Country towns south - Marburg and Rosewood, plus easy access to the Scenic Rim. Drive East and you come to Ipswich and Brisbane. We can help you tailor your own special Foggy Lookout gathering. Our sites are 4WD access only at the moment and have a designated fire pit for camp fires, just check there are no fire bans in place prior to arrival. ***ORDER YOUR FIREWOOD (In Extras) This must be purchased at time of booking to avoid disappointment or BYO firewood. ***BOOK Amenities TOILET/SHOWER units are only available for hire at our sites. ***Wellness Activities must be booked as early as possible to avoid disappointment, preferably at the time of making booking. We have 3 private campsites located near a dam for your enjoyment.   There is the good mix of shade provided by trees as well as open sunny areas. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own toilet, shower, and water. (There are no facilities on site) Large open area for outdoor activities. Pets welcome however must remain on leash. Not to chase horses or wildlife. *Please notify us if bringing a dog*  Please note, we are an active hobby farm and as such you may hear the tractor etc in the distance as we do odd jobs around the farm. Please do not feed the horses as some have strict dietary requirements. Please leave the campsite as you found it for the next camper. Fires permitted in fire-rings provided or in an above ground firepit. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use. No parties or large gatherings, but happy for small family groups. Perfect location for a quick weekend getaway from the city. Only 40 minutes from Brisbane and a short distance off the Warrego Highway.   Things to do - Fishing  - Kayak or Swimming in the dam is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks - The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions.  - Follow the walking trails for bush walks to spot the wallabies, kangaroos and some beautiful birdlife. - Kids can ride their bicycles along the trails. - Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road, great animal farm for kids to enjoy.  - Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports

*CRITICAL* We do have a vehicle fee with every booking as we have limited usage on Tamrookum Creek road per day and pay a levy per vehicle. The vehicle fee $10 per day when camping. If you want to drive the tracks during your stay there is an additional one off payment $45. If you are just wanting to come into the park for a day drive 7am to 6pm to access the 4WD tracks vehicles pay $55 weekend and PH first day or $45 mid-week for a day visit. Camping: We have 2 camping areas Opposite Lock A to H sites and the 14's A to E sites are the only 2WD and van access. Our check in time is from 7am and check out time the following day before 6pm All other sites do require a 4WD vehicle. As this is an instant payment platform, we do consider credits for valid reasons unable to arrive but must be discussed. Property: A 695-acre council registered tourist back-to-basic bush camping and 4WD park located in the picturesque Scenic Rim region just over an hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Perfect for 4WD enthusiasts, bush-walkers, mountain bikers, and anyone that just wants to get back to nature. Amenities: We encourage self-sufficient bush camping. There are chemical toilets near the campsites. Hot showers and a flushing toilet if required are back at the main car park. showers 7am to 5pm as there is no night driving We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hip camp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old. Generators are permitted to recharge batteries but not permitted to be on constantly. We are pet friendly however must be on leads at all times. We are a glass beer bottle free park. We do sell bags of wood and ice
