I took my 4y/o here for an overnight camp and it was fantastic. Anna was a great host and my daughter loved being shown all the animals and being given the chance to get involved in the feeding some of them. Splat the pig really does enjoy getting belly rubs especially once you find the right spot. A great quiet spot, easy to find, nice flat camping area, all the amenitities you'd need. We're already planning our returnb trip.

We loved Anna's Hobby Farm. Kids had so much fun with the animals and the play equipment. Great settings and very convenient from Brisbane. Toilets were super clean. Definitely recommend it.

We recently stayed at Coominya Hobby Farm and had such a great experience! Anna, our host, was absolutely lovely — so friendly and welcoming. She took the time to chat with us and made us feel right at home. The animals were a huge highlight — all super cute and very friendly. Our favourite by far was Gibbles the turkey, who stole our hearts! The facilities were well cared for too — the toilets were always clean, which made the whole stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend a visit if you’re after a relaxed, family-friendly getaway surrounded by nature and animals!

We loved our night at Cheriton Bush Camping. We could have a fire and it was peaceful. We attempted the walk to the dam but it was very muddy. Toilet was clean and the location convenient but quiet.

4 nights at Christmas Creek Bush Retreat

Caralyn and her family keep this place looking so tidy and well maintained. It was such a beautiful spot to camp, even though we have a bit of rain during our stay. We took campsites 6L&R which we found to be perfect, as the deepest part of the creek was right out the front of our caravans (so we could keep a watchful eye on the kids). Even though the water was pretty cold it was great for a dip to refresh ourselves. The kids loved being able to paddle on the kayaks or just jumping in and spotting a turtle or two. We would definitely recommend this place and the area is amazing to go exploring further afield.

Stayed at Gums on Billabong again for a large group birthday weekend. Perfect as usual, can’t fault the place. Site was immaculate again and fit the 10 of us comfortable with a lathe set up. The hut was awesome with some wet weather . Loved the fighter jets overhead for Anzac weekend. Cameron was superb again, checking in with us online to make sure all was well. Used the bathtub for a make shift bathroom which was handy. Telstra and Optus signal good enough to stream the footy so no complaints there. Can’t fault the stay again. Look forward to next trip.

Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups! The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole. This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in. The Platypus Campsite has larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite and you are able to wander the 2km of river frontage while fishing. It has easy access off the main Kerry Road. Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River. Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park. Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided). Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest. Both campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of firewood provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table and sink. Exclusivity is a feature of both our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

Kids are free to 17 so if you have children between 12-17, please include them in the "children" booking. We provide an exclusive booking for you on absolute river frontage for tents and camper trailers. Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up. Please note... our campsite has been ongoing since 2017 and campers have kindly shared their many happy memories. Over the years, things change. Please take the photos lightly. There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic! Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers. Portaloo toilet available at the campsite. Campfires are permitted in the circle but please be mindful of any restrictions. You can purchase firewood from us if needed. Dogs are also welcome but must stay with you at all times. Daisy Hill Conservation Park is also a short drive away which is a great spot for a picnic and offers mountain bike trails, walking tracks and a BBQ area. Moreton bay access is also close by with a short drive to either Victoria Point, Cleveland or Redland Bay. In addition, the property has beautiful walking trails. Campfires permitted however must be kept within the allocated fire pit and must be outside of restrictions. You must have portable toilet and be fully self-sufficient. All waste to be removed by campers upon departure. We would like to preserve this site for all future campers so please ensure that you abide by our rules. Generators welcomed, to be switched off between 10pm and 7am. Please be mindful of loud music after 10pm - please adhere to this request else you may be asked to leave. Unfortunately, to preserve our wildlife, no pets allowed. 4WD Required for this property. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you. The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content. We are also close to Fernvale where there are big Sunday Markets.

Lots of birdlife, with kookaburras, galahs, curlews, cockatoos and lorikeets nesting on site, you will meet our friendly magpie and butcherbirds too. We are in a koala zone and occasionally get visitors during breeding season, and there's been a few wallaby sightings recently. We have a small hobby farm with chickens and ducks. We also have a goat, native bees, a worm farm and an aquaponics system Plenty of local activities and events. Too many to list! Beaches, bush and city stuff too The closest activity is the mini-golf at Alexandra Hills Hotel and Conference Centre. The hotel is very handy for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking. Family friendly and reasonably priced. There is a playground for kids and a bottle shop. Close to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Atkinsons, Wivenhoe and Somerset dams, markets every weekend at Esk and Fernvale (20 min to drive to either), and one hour to either Brisbane or Toowoomba! This location is fantastic to use as a base to travel from, if you’re looking to explore all that the Somerset Region and Lockyer Valley has to offer. The sites are located on predominantly flat land, which should make for a quick and easy set up so you can get on with enjoying your stay! If you are looking to bring your bicycles or horses to ride the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, we are 1.7km from the entry point. We have two yards with shelters if you are bringing horses. Valoros Arabians is 1.7km from the centre of town, which has a small grocery store, a service station/takeaway shop, a pharmacy and pub; where you can get a delicious meal and if you come at the right time; a live band! This is a working farm with horses, free-range chooks and other animals. Please ensure your dogs are contained if they’ve not been introduced to other animals. Campfires allowed in fire pits provided. Please ensure fires are extinguished before departure. Self contained campers only, campers must byo camp toilet and leave no trace. Generators are allowed, as not all sites are powered.

We offer spots for camping - you bring everything you require for your time at Moyle Manor, to our Glamping option.... where we do all the work for you. We will set up our spacious Bell Tent, complete with Bed (real bed}, linen, kettle, lights - You just bring food and clothes. (Only 2 people) or Our family tent option - catering for 2 adults and 2 children. We supply the tent, beds, linen, chairs, simple cooking requirements, kettle. You bring your towels, clothes and food Sorry, no pets. (as we already have a couple very friendly dog, and cat) So much to see and do. in the surrounding area, the perfect location for day trips.
