A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island.
Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water.
The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron.
Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub!
Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding.

We only accept one booking at a time so you’ll have the space all to yourself.
Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road.
Please let us know approximate arrival times when possible, and any arrivals after 7pm, by prior arrangement.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind.
Flooding does occur during rainy season, roughly January to April, which can make the site and area inaccessible. Please check/consider conditions when booking and in the lead up to your stay.
During the months of September and October we have nesting birds on the property and swooping can be issue and something to keep in mind if any of your group have an aversion to birds.
As per Hipcamp rules/insurance policy, there must be a person over 18 years old on site with any under 18s during the stay.

Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by Tuan State Forest and wetlands. There is a medium sized dam on the property for swimming.The Tuan Forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal.
There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends.
This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc.
Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry.
Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please.
Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick.
NOTE: ***During Summer- November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm!***
*4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*

Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.

Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island.
Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water.
The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron.
Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub!
Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding.

Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind.
Flooding does occur during rainy season, roughly January to April, which can make the site and area inaccessible. Please check/consider conditions when booking and in the lead up to your stay.
During the months of September and October we have nesting birds on the property and swooping can be issue and something to keep in mind if any of your group have an aversion to birds.
As per Hipcamp rules/insurance policy, there must be a person over 18 years old on site with any under 18s during the stay.

Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by Tuan State Forest and wetlands. There is a medium sized dam on the property for swimming.The Tuan Forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal.
There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends.
This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc.
Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry.
Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please.
Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick.
NOTE: ***During Summer- November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm!***
*4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*

Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".
Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Highly recommend Karrajong Camp. Tan and Kevin are lovely hosts, directions were on point and what you see is what you get.
We had the whole meadow (with beautiful lush grass) to ourselves, when you book it, it’s all yours. Our dog absolutely loved it too.
The creek was easily accessible and flowing which made for a fantastic afternoon dip.
Quality long burning wood fire wood is available for $15 per tub (02/2026) and fire pits available at each camp site.
We will be back for sure!

Being able to camp within 2 meters of the water was so awesome, the campsite was better than we had expected.
The weather was a bit gloomy for the start of the trip and had essentially created a creek around our set up but it was still possible to get around easy, (ground mat was a lifesaver.)
Unfortunately not much luck with fish, but we did get multiple mud crabs each day so definitely bring some pots.
The addition of having firewood on site was a huge bonus too. Even despite being wet, the wood burnt super well and we could have nice coals almost all night.
We really wish we could’ve stayed longer, you keep forgetting you’re in national park and the only people I ever saw were on boats.
Truly a gem so close to home.

Glenns directions were clear and the secluded spot on the river was beautiful. We really enjoyed our time at this spot and will visit again. Our 2wd was ok, yet I wouldn't try in wet weather given the track to get to the spot. Well worth it when you set up camp though.

Great camping site, if you have the wrong blood type the mosquitoes will love you depending on the weather, but just take the necessary steps to protect yourself, it was a small price to pay for the not so fortunate in our crew ,,
