Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland.
We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy.
Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale.
We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required.
Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.
Things to do and see:
The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality.
Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders.
Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month.
All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm.

We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest.
There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway.
It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest.

Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.

There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Djitti Djitti Farm is a 300 acre regenerative agriculture property, with livestock running throughout. It has large natural bush areas with a small seasonal creek.
There are restricted numbers of campers - being 5 self contained camping sites. There is abundant wildlife including sugar-gliders, koalas, goannas and echidnas.
Camping locations include 4wd access spots and 2wd access spots.
We offer Bush Camping in the Somerset region close to Toogoolawah, Esk and Crows Nest, also not to far to three different Dams (Wivenhoe, Somerset and Cressbrook) . There are multiple National Parks in the area - Crows Nest NP, Ravensbourne NP and Bunya Mountains. Only 1.5 hrs to Brisbane, 2 hrs to the Gold Coast, 1.25 hr to Toowoomba and 1 hr to Ipswich.

Hart Hill boasts a stunning 28 acres. Your initial view of the property coming over a Thanes Creek causeway is that of a magnificent rock face. However, 600m down the road, through the gate, and over the ridge, Hart Hill exposes a lovely undulating fold baring a huge panorama of flat alluvial ground that hugs Thanes Creek.
Sprinkled with gums, the camping area is based west of the property in a stunning shady lea cooled by the creek and an old windmill for a backdrop.
The properties history is colourful. In 1869 the area was a hub for gold diggers wanting to strike it lucky. Old wooden stumps tell a story of an old mining hut, and if you dug in some of the rock heaps you might get a shock when you uncovered more than gold.
Visitors can enjoy campfires, fossicking, including swimming, kayaking, fishing and more dependant on seasonal changes to the creek.

Welcome to Duchess Farm Stay, in Nobby QLD.This is a delightful country experience 30 minutes for Toowoomba CBD. Fully self-contained cabin style accommodation. 1 bedroom with a queen bed plus sofa in lounge. The cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, we don't recommend 4 adults inside. There is room for a caravan or a few tents if you would like to make it a family affair (no more than 10 people). Pets are welcome. There's a cosy outdoor fire pit. Wood is $20 (additional cost)The property is privately secluded from the main farm house. Short drive to surrounding towns including Clifton, Leyburn, Warwick, Allora and Greenmount and just 3km to the historic Rudd's Pub and the local store (Merlo coffee). We offer a farm experience for the whole family including feeding the animals - the sheep and goats love to eat out of your hands! Plus there are eggs to collect and general farm life. My friends and I booked this campsite and it's safe to say we were very happy with our stay! Directions to the campsite were clear, the host was very hospitable and the farmland was beautiful. Farm animals roamed the property, mostly horses, cows and the occasional friendly farm dog adding to the atmosphere. We had 630 acres of land to explore with a mountain to hike up with lovely views of the Tablelands and the campgrounds below. We also had our own waterhole to cool off on the hot days and built fires to stave off the cooler nights. There was one main fire pit, but you are allowed to have fires anywhere on your camp ground. In addition to setting up a tent, we attached a hammock to sleep in between the trees next to the waterhole. Overall, this campsite provided a lovely stay, being quiet with minimal people, and allowing you to emerge yourself in the sereneness of farm life.

Amazing spot. Creek was low but the new dam is great (full and clean - awesome spot for a swim). Great camping spot, well looked after and recently mowed. (Mower also in the firewood shed if you need it!) The firewood is great and great value. Few porta-loos around the property that are always clean.
I was very surprised by the low amount of people at the property- must be a great kept secret - saw less than 10 people over the entire new years period.
Try the goat pie and goat curry - both amazing.

Top location, Norm met us at the gate and took us to our spot on his trusty rider mower. Beautiful spot. Very peaceful 1 neighbour about 100 metres away. Elizabeth and Norm were great hosts.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing, very peaceful and Tony was a wonderful host. Highly recommend doing the buggy tour as toni really give an understanding of his property and get to meet and feed the animals. My favourite part was having the goat roaming around freely and seeing the highland cows.

After a really hard year my soul needed to go out bush. I spent 3 nights at Somerset Valley Farm and it was exactly what I needed! Site 14 is so secluded and quiet, I only saw people walking past once on my last day.
I couldn't recommend this place more!
There was a beautiful dog that came and checked on me most days which was beautiful. The whole experience was perfect and I feel so much better, more grounded, and generally brighter.
I will be going back again on a regular basis.
