Montaban Farm is 280 acres of rolling hills. You can set up on a flat, grassy site nearby a seasonal creek. You can chose to camp in the gully near the creek or from the top of the hill with a view of the hills. Access for all vehicles and camping set ups. In 5 minutes drive you'll find yourself in the town of Mulgildie where there is a great pub and a grocer. Small fires okay, please bring your own firepit. In the centre of Mulgildie stands the sculpture of the Mulgildie Bunyip. Tourists are encouraged to visit the Bunyips watering hole approximately 10 minutes drive from Mulgildie, a place renowned for strange bubbling and churning waters. There are national parks n the area which you can explore, where there is plenty of native wildlife and bush walks. Located 2 hours from Bundaberg, 3 hours from Rockhampton.

The Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Incorporated is facilitating the development of the disused rail corridor from Taragoola (near Gladstone, Central Queensland), through the Boyne Valley, on to Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera and south through to Gayndah in the Burnett Valley. This property covers those campsites in the North Burnett Region. The corridor is an inland link between Gladstone and Gayndah, which has great natural scenery, wildlife and historical structures with small country towns spread along its length. There are several campsites (shown here on Hipcamps), on former railway sidings along the trail and a range of other accommodation types, some community NFP operated, which we encourage you to support. Will showcase the attractions along the trail, along with location maps, trail maps, and much other useful information.

2 nights at Hogback

We recently had a fantastic time over the three days and two nights we stayed. If you are looking for space, peace and quiet, there is plenty of it here. The drive into the property is scenic, we saw a calf being born on the way in, lots of cattle, bird life including an emu & chick and horses. There's plenty to see and do, lots of wild life all over the property. Col and Blodwen were amazing and very friendly, made us feel welcome and at ease during our stay. There is plenty of camping area for larger gatherings or multiple groups. There's a RV site also for anyone to use. The directions to the property were easy to understand and if you have questions they are eager to help out. We missed the rain to get the creeks flowing but it didn't disappoint. We will be going back, most definitely. Not forgetting our two dogs got a very well deserved time away also.

Range Station was a little gem - very relaxing with amazing views all around. We had the place to ourselves, but there was plenty of room to spread out. It was dry with a total fire ban when we were there, but at other times it would be a sea of green, rolling hills with fire pits, a port-a-loo and a delightful nursery / garden to explore. It’s off the beaten track so it feels like being a million miles away - perfect!

We loved the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere at this camp! Stunning sunsets and so much wildlife and farm animals to be seen cruising around in the farmlands. The site is fully fenced so is perfect for dogs as well. Would recommend!

Lovely flat grassy area. Bonus for us was it was fully fenced so the dog could be off leash. Just a Portaloo but that was fine. Easy to find and gravel road no problem. Ange very friendly and lovely to chat to. Well worth a visit.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Springs

Large open spaces for our two Border Collies to run and also swim in the creek. Plenty of fire wood to collect. Quiet and private camping. Had long walks to other sites and found the Deluxe site was the best. Long strolls around the site and saw amenities that were set up for a musical festival earlier in the year. Great for a break from the hassle of city life. Limited phone reception.

Absolutely loved the landscape and camping area, a cute nersury right next to the camping grounds. Angela is a very lovely lady who made sure we had enough firewood and checking up on us when needed. Magical place, serenity plus, Ange the host is so welcoming and love that our little cavoodle was free to roam in a place that felt safe. Stargazing amazingly clear, sunset over rolling hills and firepit to ourselves. Ange even provided the wood. 8 mins to town. Perfect.
