Situated just off the Burnett Highway between Goomeri and Ban Ban Springs, the Boonara Creek is the perfect spot to pull up and unwind for a day or a couple to enjoy the beauty of nature. Enjoy the creek view by day and then watch the sun set to a sky full of stars by night. Don’t forget to bring some marshmallows to toast on your campfire! Australia is full of amazing landscapes which are a treasure to enjoy. We have an abundance of bird life, every so often spot a turtle and if your lucky we recently saw a platypus in the creek. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking (season dependant). Take a walk along the creek and appreciate being outdoors. We have many attractions within our area. Coming up on the last Sunday of May is the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, it is always a great weekend for all. There are many wineries in the area to wine & dine, Boat Mountain has some great bushwalks & lookouts and the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail is great for those who enjoy a bike ride. Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. With 5km of river frontage, the Burnett River, you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, water krafts, hiking, wild life watching (platypus and lung fish), or old fashion relaxing. We provide 8 very private and spread out sites. Guests must be fully self contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all rubbish is the guests responsibility. Tent only sites need access with 4WD vehicles. Pets are permitted but must be under control at all times - Livestock may be near. Open fires are permitted in areas provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable. I had a fabulous stay next to the billabong and creek with abundant birds and wildlife in a secluded, grassy location next to the water so my self and my dog could cool off in the heat. Tracey was an extremely friendly and helpful host who made me feel very welcome. I saw a huge lungfish, goannas and other lizards, snakes on the other side of the creek, Rakali (native water rats), a huge list of birds, including a pair of resident azure kingfishers and red backed fairy wrens. I am really looking forward to my next visit!

Weekend Trip to Allium Acres

Absolutely magic spot on a beautiful part of the Burnett River. Amazing sunrise in one direction and spectacular sunset in the other. This section of river is so perfect for kayaking. The river is teaming with lung fish, birdlife, fish and we even saw platypus right at our campsite. The waterfalls downstream were a lovely surprise. Our campsite was absolute river front and bliss. We awoke to birdsong in the mornings and the nights were peaceful. 10/10

We camped one night by the creek which was our first time using Hipcamps. It was a lovely peaceful site. Our contact with Tracey & directions made the experience easy. We chose to be close to the creek so four wheel drive was necessary to exit the site. Would stay again & recommend to others

What a find….Tracy & Dean’s farm is definitely a place to unwind and a perfect spot to recharge the batteries from every day life. With a beautiful running creek to listen to, lots of bird life and even a little foul to watch as it played with its Mumma. Plenty of space to walk the dogs and explore. Definitely recommend this camp, the beauty of it, location & the limited camps they allow is also a bonus.

We stayed at Tracy and Deans peaceful amazing property and couldn’t have asked for a better spot.. we had a running creek for ourselves and our kids loved every minute of their time swimming it was so beautifully peaceful Rock view farm was exactly what we need our spot to ourselves. We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights at Tracy & Dean's property over Easter. Our site was right on the creek with direct access to the water which the kids loved swimming and splashing in, even moreso when a kayak was kindly brought down for them to use, we struggled to get them out of the creek! Large open spaces without another camp-site for hundreds of meters! Nothing was too much trouble, from our late arrival, to our late afternoon vacate due to sore heads from the beers the night before! Only complaint was that we had to leave! Thank you!!
