In peaceful Mount Perry is a remote paradise, I call TAKAMUNA (house on the rise). • I have 70 acres of beautiful land which you can, bush walk, swim in the dam and enjoy a campfire (some wood provided). • You will need to be fully self-sufficient, there are no amenities. • Limited access to water, no power available (generators ok within reason). • Various sites to camp or unhitch a caravan. The property overlooks the glorious hills and valleys with a direct view of the Back of Mount Perry so it's time to unplug and chill! • Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead. • We have cattle which graze freely throughout the property. • Your welcome to come up at feeding time (approx. 4pm) to help feed the sheep, goats pigs and chickens. (probably the cows). • Our front gate must be kept closed at all times, all other gates the rule is if it closed then close it after you. • We do have surveillance around the property. Here you can take a boat out or just swim and picnic by the river. With 5km of river frontage, the Burnett River, you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, water krafts, hiking, wild life watching (platypus and lung fish), or old fashion relaxing. We provide 8 very private and spread out sites. Guests must be fully self contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all rubbish is the guests responsibility. Tent only sites need access with 4WD vehicles. Pets are permitted but must be under control at all times - Livestock may be near. Open fires are permitted in areas provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable. Firewood is avaliable, you may collect your own, or to have it delivered to your site contact Jessica 48 hours prior to your arrival.

Weekend Trip to Allium Acres

Absolutely magic spot on a beautiful part of the Burnett River. Amazing sunrise in one direction and spectacular sunset in the other. This section of river is so perfect for kayaking. The river is teaming with lung fish, birdlife, fish and we even saw platypus right at our campsite. The waterfalls downstream were a lovely surprise. Our campsite was absolute river front and bliss. We awoke to birdsong in the mornings and the nights were peaceful. 10/10

Perfect spot to camp if you’re visiting Mt Walsh! Close to town and a short drive to the National Park. Uninterrupted view of the mountain and countryside. Nathan and Byrdie are both lovely and welcoming. 10/10

Weekend Trip to TAKAMUNA

Chis was an awesome host and greeted us at the gate and showed us around his beautiful property . We had an absolute great stay and was the only guests on the farm .Our spot was next to the dam . It sure was cold but we came prepared. Chris was generous and even brought us heaps of free firewood. He invited us to come and join him when he feed his animals . What an experience. A pet Brahman bull name Humphrey !! Pigs , goats sheep etc . A beautiful place . We had great walks and a great break . Will be back .

Chris was a wonderful and welcoming host! He was so nice to drop down a fire pit and firewood free of charge to my site and even gave me some lemons from his tree to take with me on the road 🥹. The site was very private and so beautiful. My dog loved having a swim in the damn. My favourite part was getting to pat and feed the farm animals. I have never seen a mini fluffy cow before but it is now safe to say they are the cutest things I have ever seen. I only stayed one night but could easily stay a whole week! Honestly could not recommend this Hipcamp more! Thanks Chris :)

Absolutely loved our swag camping on Brydies land .Beautiful Mountain views, Amazing sunset. No one else around, so really private. Brydie's horses and there foals where in the paddock we stayed in, it was amazing being able to go for a walk and see them all together. Will be back for sure :)
