So peaceful & relaxing - loved bathing in the creek, star gazing, falling asleep to the sound of the bullfrogs and the babbling water and wakening to the gentle nuzzle of the most friendly horse. As a solo female newbie traveller I would highly highly recommend this off grid site - private, well maintained, immaculate facilities and outstanding hosts! (With the added bonus of the best coffee I’ve had yet in Australia from the Bastion Lane Espresso in Uki)

We had a fantastic weekend at Misty Mountain camping ground. Peter was a fantastic host and his caretakers welcome us with kindness and friendliness , however camp 1 site where we stayed, caretaker was not a friendly person. He was rude towards us. We have reported this matter to Peter and he dealt with it straight away. Thank you Peter. However, the overall this hipcamp was a fantastic getaway for us. Very spacious, relaxing, fantastic views and fresh. The camp kitchen was the best . Jules was so friendly and great cook. Games to play and a place to sit down and unwind when it rains. My friends and I really enjoyed our getaway and we will go back again. I highly recommend this place.. Thank you again.

Honestly don’t even want to leave a review because I’d rather keep this place a secret! But it deserves it — and it’s only going to get more popular as they keep improving it. We had an amazing stay here. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. Communication was clear and easy from start to finish, and the directions and access were spot on. The property itself is stunning — a gorgeous part of the world, private and peaceful. Each site is secluded and spread out; you wouldn’t even know there were other people around. It did rain a lot during our stay (not their fault, of course!) and access definitely required a 4x4. But the hosts went absolutely above and beyond to help — even spending over an hour with the tractor making sure we could get up the hill safely with our van. We felt really looked after. Facilities were great — the toilet and shower were basic but totally usable, and it was awesome having river access nearby. Our dogs loved it too — both on and off-leash depending on where we were. Bug and mosquito levels were really low, even after heavy rain, which was a nice surprise! Overall, can’t wait to get back. Between the location, the setup, and the next round of improvements on the way, this place is a gem.

First time here and loved. Stayed at Camp 3, good facilites with shower and toilet, close to dam and nice views. Enjoyed walking around the grounds. Nice little cafe station open in games room. This is a great campground and can’t wait to return.

Our camp area is situated on Rowlands creek, offering 6 acres of creek flat with 3 waterholes. There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace. We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. One booking covers 4 people (no matter how many set ups/caravans/tents you have) You can pick wherever in the paddock that you'd like to set up - there are no pre allocated spots and you will be able to pick a private spot. Take a stroll through the olive grove and set up a picnic amongst the trees! Olive View Estate is a stunning 35 acre 700 tree working olive farm and guest stay accommodation. We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views. Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.

As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

The Bush Clinic, Hinterland Retreat

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay. We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. If you know what ley-lines are - this is the right place to visit ;-) PS if you are towing a van or camper pls remember to engage 4wd at the front gravel gate (low range 2nd is best). This helps avoid chewing the road up...

Eagles Nest Hideaway, Pecan Fields

This expansive 600 acre farm is a place of joy, sharing and rare beauty! Over one kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing gorgeous waterholes for swimming, walks and great sites to set up camp for the weekend! You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. We also provide you with creature comforts such as a cold/ hot shower and fresh pit toilets :) When booking, only book 1 site per group, as the sites are large. You will feel like you are immersed in the beauty of nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon, NSW 2480 and 45 minutes beautiful country drive from glorious Byron Bay beaches and it's very exciting night life! On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

Green Tree Frog Oasis

Our oasis is a mostly hilly property covered in spotted gum and iron bark forest (koala country!) backing onto the Little Liverpool Range, with about 1 acre of grassy, flat camping area at the entrance at the south-western end.The camping area is fenced and well behaved pets are welcome. Our neighbours horses and cattle often wander up the fence line to say g'day.Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.There are many walking tracks through the forest and a dam and small creek (often dry) that guests are welcome to have a swim in.Campfires are permitted so long as there are no restrictions in place. Please keep campfires supervised at all times.We’re about 10 minutes from most services (supermarket, hospital etc. in Laidley and 5 minutes from the world famous Mulgowie Hotel (say hi to Sara for us).

Situated halfway between Fernvale and Coominya makes this an ideal stop on your BVRT adventure or is ideal for a quick getaway being only an hour or so from Brisbane CBD. There are 2 sites which are private from each other. ++ The property is accessed by a rough dirt track that is 4wd accessible after heavy or prolonged rainfall due to wet muddy ruts ++ ^^ You must be self-sufficient and bring your own portable toilet/bucket toilet, and all waste and rubbish must be taken with you ^^ ** Please consider a donation to our horse sanctuary - even the smallest amounts help towards horse feed, vet visits and general care 🐴🐎 Many of our beautiful four hooved family would not be alive without people like us who come to their rescue **
