Aroona Farm is a 200-acre cattle property run and owned by a young family of 4. 'Aroona' is an aboriginal word meaning "place of refreshing" or "place of running water" which represents this beautiful property well with its natural springs that open up out of the mountain, into a 'forest-like' section of the property and runs into the gully.
We also have Acacia Creek that runs through the front which is the head of the Clarence River. Feel free to have a splash in the refreshing water with a couple of swimming holes.
Explore our property on foot with many beautiful places to see, and animals (cattle and horses) to watch and pat. Or simply sit back, around the fire with friends and/or family and enjoy the stunning sunsets while listening to the sounds of nature.
We offer several designated camping areas, each private with lovely views. Some are much larger and suitable for groups with multiple tents/caravans etc, whereas some are smaller and ideal for couples and groups of 1 or 2 small families. All sites require campers have their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go.
Queen Mary Falls, Dagg's, and Browns Falls (walking track) Killarney QLD is roughly an 8.4km drive and Carr's Lookout is about 15km drive.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. All of our camp sites are well separated from each other. If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out.
Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only.
Get back to nature and explore.
Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies,
possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear)
This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original
"selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down.
Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses.
Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out.
Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only.
Get back to nature and explore.
Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies,
possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear)
This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original
"selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down.
Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses.
Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

Welcome to Juburra, (pronounced Jew-burra) our working cattle farm and your serene escape just an hour from the hustle and bustle of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on offering exclusive campsites nestled amongst the ridges, gullies or creeks. We offer a blend of sites suitable for caravaners or adventurers looking for the fun of following a trail to their own slice of privacy.

Once owned by a lawless bushranger, Angus McDonald, legend has it that Angus and his gang stowed their loot out at the property. Some say to this day no one has uncovered his gold treasure. The last of Angus and his gang can be seen hanging from 'hang mans tree' in the middle of his hideout. Such a great story, if only it was true... or is it?

Group trip
We loved it at Guffy Acres. We did book site 2 but it was too small so Andrew was more than happy to take us to another site which was much better. I would recommend Guffy Acres to anyone who is looking at being off grid and being on a site that is central to a number of nice wineries. Thank you to our host Andrew, we will be back as there are so many more wineries to explore. :-)

A really beautiful spot Bernie took us to. Cattle in the next paddock and plenty of bird life. So peaceful out there and such beautiful countryside. Even saw a platypus late afternoon. Was special.

Weekend Trip to Goldfields-Thanes Creek
Lovely quiet & relaxing place to stay. Multiple large open areas to choose from to set up camp, the dogs absolutely loved being able to explore around the property & play in the dam. Do yourself a favour & check out Mark & Siv's coffee being roasted too. Will definitely be back for another trip

Definitely needed the 4x4 to get up there as it was Very rocky in places, but I feel like the bit of off roading added to the experience. But definitely worth the trip up the track!
What a view! This campsite was amazing. One of the best views I've had while camping.
The only flaw was the giant ants nest near the campfire site. While Id expect insects out in the bush. The nest up there was huge, and we had ants everywhere.
Overall though, I'd definitely recommend this spot for the view alone!

This is our first Hipcamp experience. It was so easy and stress free. Heather is a lovely host. She escorts you to the site - so you can't get lost. The Washout site is great. Freshly cut grass, clean & quite private. Hiking tracks around the property too. The cows & calves are such a joy. Waking up to them eating away behind the fence was a highlight for our daughter. Our dog also loved it, lots of grass to run around on.

Perfect spot for a getaway next to the creek. Great communication from the owners and on arrival Phil takes the time to have a chat while guiding us to the campground. Would recommend and definitely plan another trip to visit to Over The Creek. Thanks guys 5🌟

One of my favourite campsites now. It was well maintained and the views were insane. The drive up was not difficult when we did it (it was dry). 4wd low range is a must. The hosts are lovely and very responsive

We were a last-minute booking and arrived later than expected, but Andrew was very patient and easygoing. Andrew and his partner were both kind and relaxed — we didn’t see her much, but the interactions we had were lovely.
Our site was near the dam. Because of the rain we didn’t get to swim, but the site was spacious and well away from other campers. We could see the house in the distance, though it still felt like we had the place to ourselves. Andrew let us know that if the rain became too much and our tent flooded, he’d help us move things — though the site handled it well and it would’ve needed a lot more rain for that to happen.
We stayed 4 nights and were able to use our generator on quiet mode without disturbing anyone, as we were positioned far enough away from others.
We had our own gazebo to spend the days in, though one was available to hire if needed. Fresh drinking water was available. On the last sunny day we fed the goats — the kids (16 & 10) loved it. Some were very food-orientated, some shy, and some happy for pats.
Shops are only 10 minutes away with most essentials, food options, and a dump point.
There’s a decent-sized fireplace, which we kept going even during light to moderate rain. The night before we left the sky cleared and the Milky Way was visible — so many stars, it was beautiful.
Even though it mostly rained during our stay, our family loved it and will definitely come back.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guffy Acres Farm. The campsites were clean and well spaced, making you feel as though you had your own private piece of countryside to relax and admire.
Andrew, the owner, was extremely responsive to messages and very accommodating throughout our stay. While we were there, they had recently hatched some chicks, which he kindly showed to our two young children. Feeding the goats was definitely one of the highlights — they are incredibly friendly, and even my three year old felt confident feeding them through the fence.
We wish Andrew and his partner all the best and will certainly be returning when we have the opportunity.

Wonderful peaceful location by the water. I enjoyed many swims during the heat wave. Quite deep, may not be suitable for children. A wonderful variety of bird life. Libby is an excellent, very responsive host, who provided me with a much needed map of the area and other information, and also reached out when a storm was about to hit.

This is an awesome camping spot, the trees surrounding camp made it feel very cozy. The scenery was absolutely lovely and was complemented with a gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Even with the cars passing by a few hundred meters away the camp felt very peaceful. Lovely scenic quiet spot. Area has not had a lot of rain thus there was not a lot of water for swimming. We are city slickers - there were 2 horses hanging by a 3 way gate. We were not experienced enough to know that those horses were hanging around specifically to get entry to another paddock. My husband did not shoo them away and opened the gate & one bolted through. We were embarrassed but the owner was understanding. Lesson learned. No network connection which was perfect.
