Quiet camp area on Creek bank. A short walk down the bank to shallow to mid depth running water, perfect to sit and chill out in, or watch the kids splash around. Plenty of shade down by the creek. It can be a steep or slippery walk down to the creek, depending on the weather and if the creek has recently risen or flooded.
Easily accessible by 2WD as long as its not too wet. Suitable for tents, caravans, RVs etc
Dogs allowed but must be supervised at all times and chained/locked up at night or if being a nuisance.

The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite, are great for fishing and swimming as you wander the 2km of river frontage . They both have easy access off the main Kerry Road.
Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River.
Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.
Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided).
Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.
All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.
Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

In Queensland, just north of the NSW border, in the Running Creek area of the "Scenic Rim". The nearby National Park is Mt Chinghee, which is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia.
We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. All of our camp sites are well separated from each other. If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out.
Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only.
Get back to nature and explore.
Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies,
possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear)
This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original
"selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down.
Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses.
Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.

If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out.
Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only.

Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies,
possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear)
This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original
"selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down.
Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses.
Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

Lamington National Park adjoins this outrageously beautiful property that features the waterfall made famous by actress Laura Dern in the iconic Sunsilk shampoo commercial filmed here in 1998. (LGBT welcome).
A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation.
There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks.
You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau.
Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers.
Mobile reception (Telstra works the best), flushing toilets (ladies & gents), hot shower, and campfires permitted in designated locations - sorry no pets.

We loved camping here. The directions are clear and easy. The camp sites are well looked after. If you’re looking for more of a private camp away from people definitely book the gumtree campsite. If you’re coming in a massive group or wanting a flat area that’s quite large but don’t mind being around other campers book the creek bend site.

Sarabah Creek Camping is honestly one of the most amazing spots we’ve stayed at. It’s so close to the Gold Coast, yet it feels completely peaceful and secluded.
The campground is beautiful, it was incredible to fall asleep to the sound of the water and the creek was so fresh to swim in. The site feels very private, the bathroom was clean and it was easy to access the campsite!!
You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the grounds and making sure guests have a great stay.
Sarabah Creek Camping is an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be back!

A little slice of paradise. The views are incredible and the site was big, private and so well kept. We spent a few days as a family enjoying lots of lawn games, great food and taking in all our beautiful surroundings. Michael and Sally gave us a very detailed booklet with lots of information about everything we needed to know including places to explore. We all had such a fantastic time.

Beautiful campsite with some of the best views we experienced in the region. Amenities were clean, practical, and appreciated after long days exploring. A short drive to Christmas Creek where you can swim in the creek. Sites are spaced well apart. Highly recommend having experience with a proper 4wd though. Ruts are deep and the journey up to the look out isn’t for a basic road vehicle with highway tires… lots of birds, butterflies and kangaroos 🥰

Very lovely sites scattered down along the flowing creek. It had great communal area which includes hot water for washing dishes. Each site seems very quiet and almost impossible to hear other campers unless you walk to the communal area.
We had our own little water hole for soaking in. So very relaxing with the constant sound of running water. Will definitely book here again in the future.

First time using Hipcamp! And this property was gorgeous! Lovely views, drop toilet using wood shavings was probably the cleanest one I have used.
2wd would be fine to access sites, just take it easy.
Location isn’t where Apple Maps says, keep driving and you will find the trailed head, it’s just past the corner!

This bit of paradise would have to be one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever camped. We stayed in a spot called big fig and it was one of the more private spaces you can stay at. About 100m down from us was what seemed like a private rock pool all to ourselves. And a couple of hundred metres up was a spectacular waterfall where you could also enjoy, relax and cool down. We hiked up the mountain and soaked up the amazing view of the property and Mt Warning. And the cherry on top was the hosts of this amazing bit of paradise, the lovely couple Keith and Zandra were more than helpful with what we needed. This place is a MUST DO. My wife and I will definitely be visiting again. 10/10

Great campsite at Sundown! Had awesome views, particularly for sunset, and even with other sites nearby, you felt like you were alone. A 4WD is required to explore the tracks around the property. Amenities were awesome - the shower shed was a quirky and fun touch!
