Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.
Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay.

We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.

Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River.
Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.
Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided).
Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.
All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.

As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.

Our very own 4WD park offers plenty of easy to medium tracks for those wanting to gain confidence, as well as enough hard trails to test the most experienced 4WDer.
All tracks follow historic banana and logging tracks with an easy ridgeline track boasting 360-degree panoramic views for those just wanting a bit of offroad experience without testing the limits.
NO unregistered vehicles or motorbikes are allowed on the park and we have a zero alcohol policy whilst using the 4WD trails. We are a family friendly park so will not tolerate hooning or bad behaviour.
We are a working farm, so as much as we love dogs we cant allow them on our farm.
We love welcoming people to share in the beauty of our farm and explore all it has to offer through agritourism adventures. We are just re-opening, so there are more sites to come so watch this space!

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.

Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.

The rainforest Treehouse is situated in a rainforest pocket of the Mount Warning Caldera, completely surrounded by lush and vibrant nature and sheltered from the outside world, while being just 2 minutes away from us and the comfy road that will take you to an amazing swimming hole, cafés and the nearby town.
Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.
You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain.
The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.
Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah.

We are also proud of our very special Red Cabin with its magnificent mountain view. it has been created with dedication and love. And again it is thanks to our daughter this time. She has found the perfect spot for you so you can immerse yourself in nature in the shade of lovely trees, taking flight with the eagles above Springbrook Mountain, lifting up and rejoicing life. The vibrant tantric red colour of the cabin will fill you up with new energy and freshness. it is supplied with clean, luxurious linen and towels. The daring bathroom allows you to bask in a bubble bath while enjoying your favourite beverage watching the stars. That beautiful experience will be enhance by the symphony of the surrounding nature.
The cooking and dining area is set up for your highest comfort and equipped with everything you need.

Welcome to Crystal Creek Park where you can enjoy nature at its best with rolling hills, spectacular mountain views, rocky creeks, and an abundance of wildlife.
Our working farm is set on 220 acres in the lush rural valley of Upper Crystal Creek, Northern NSW, and offers 4WDing and camping for the adventurous, as well as caravan sites and cottages for those wanting to relax and explore nature in more luxury.
We are 15 minutes from Murwillumbah, 40 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, and 1.5 hours from Brisbane.
Our park boasts panoramic 360-degree views of Mt Warning, Springbrook Cliffs, and the Cougals with the renowned Crystal Creek running right through the farm.
Our very own 4WD park offers plenty of easy to medium tracks for those wanting to gain confidence, as well as enough hard trails to test the most experienced 4WDer.
All tracks follow historic banana and logging tracks with an easy ridgeline track boasting 360-degree panoramic views for those just wanting a bit of offroad experience without testing the limits.
NO unregistered vehicles or motorbikes are allowed on the park and we have a zero alcohol policy whilst using the 4WD trails. We are a family friendly park so will not tolerate hooning or bad behaviour.
We are a working farm, so as much as we love dogs we cant allow them on our farm.
We love welcoming people to share in the beauty of our farm and explore all it has to offer through agritourism adventures. We are just re-opening, so there are more sites to come so watch this space!

Welcome to our secluded property on the idyllic Crystal Creek with private swimming holes and beautiful mountain views. Located on a small hobby farm, we offer a private camping experience for just one group at a time.
Our campsite is called 'Creek Side' as it's located right next to the creek on a flat grassy patch of land. A great little swimming hole is right next to camp.
Just 75 metres from Creek Side is an outdoor hot-shower and flushing toilet available for guests and an Infared Sauna which can be booked for an additional fee.
We are located 15 minutes from Murwillumbah, 30 minutes to Cabarita Beach, 40 minutes to Gold Coast Airport; 50 minutes to Byron Bay.
Well behaved pets welcome by request (we have chooks and cows so your pet must be friendly!)

Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west.
This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs.
A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed.
There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi
There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road.
Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather

The reviews re the need for a decent 4wd are 100% accurate and some skill is required. The place is EPIC, I highly recommend.

Plus has the good stuff like a hot shower etc which is always a win🙌
It got really hot, as it does in summer and there was a nice amount of shade, except for mid day but we got out on the trails!!
Hosts are awesome, very quick and easy to communicate with.
I have had this on my list for a while, and it exceeded every expectation.

We had a few days at Stonesthrow Bush Camping, Canungra had everything - creek dips, the world’s friendliest donkeys, horses up on the top plateau, dogs able to live their best off-lead life, and sunrises/sunsets that made us slow right down.
Huge shoutout to the hosts - absolute legends. Warm, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years.

We had a great time camping at Stonesthrow. Steve was quick to respond to questions we had and his arrival instructions and directions were excellent. We stayed at the TOS site and it suited our group well. The site was private and very relaxing and clean. We took a hike throughout the farm and enjoyed the challenge of walking to the Top Spot while seeing some other sites that we hope to stay at another time. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

We loved our stay over the weekend. Steve and Richard were very helpful. We had a great spot with a loveltly view, we explore the property on foot and we loved to met the horses and donkeys.
We would denifinely recomend and most likely to return in another oportunity. The nature and peace and quite moments were priceless.

I loved camping at Oz Sky Ranch with our Camper Trailer. We had site 39 with a few friends and it was a great big spot for the kids to play around in. There was a short walk down the hill and you could swim in the dam. Beautiful views & the sites were all kept nice. Looking forward to coming back 😀

Weekend Trip to Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse
Loved the Treehouse. The location is private and quiet with the creek running along side and the wildlife all around.
The place was extremely well looked after with every little detail considered.
The shower and toilet facilities were excellent and cooking was easy on the kitchenette and bbq as well as the firepit.
Aneta and Paul were great. And thought of everything.
Thank you for the great memories, we will be back.

I loved staying at Sarabah stud. I was greeted by the lovely Jacqui and Nathan soon after I arrived and I felt very welcomed to the land. Platypus Hole is a beautiful site tucked away beside the creek. There’s plenty of flat, lush green grass to camp on, in an area that’s elevated a little bit up and back from the creek and fire pit.
It’s super serene, quiet and peaceful and the sites are distanced from each other so there’s lots of privacy. The swimming hole is at a different part of the creek and an easy walk to get to. Having a refreshing dip in the water as the sun goes down at the end of a summer’s day was a highlight of the stay. I also met Robert and he was a very welcoming and generous host.
Thanks so much for my stay. I will be back to this beautiful, inspiring bush haven.

Living on the edge was a awesome experience with spectacular views. The highest level Larapinta has, definitely worth the 4x4 drive. Not for the faint hearted, steep climb but well worth it. Definitely recommend and will be back to check out the other campsites

Wonderful peaceful location by the water. I enjoyed many swims during the heat wave. Quite deep, may not be suitable for children. A wonderful variety of bird life. Libby is an excellent, very responsive host, who provided me with a much needed map of the area and other information, and also reached out when a storm was about to hit.

The camp area was really well looked after and tidy, amenities were great toilet and shower clean. There was a little less water than I would have liked bit it was still running.
