For our onsite campers........at this stage of the properties development, we ask all to be self contained for sanitary and power needs. The property offers many shaded areas and a beautiful swimming hole to cool off in the warmer months. Here at the windmill we cater for all social events, with the appropriate communication we can organise a day of fun with workshops ranging from blacksmitthing and permiculture, to brethwork and meditation events, to couple retreats.........Bookings are essential, limited space and conditions apply. Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced. We have 6 listings available at Meyenburg B&B Glamping, 2 tent sites for campers and 6 Tents which have linen included and creature comforts. All our listings have access to toilet and amenities. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Mount Morgan was a mining town. Mining of clay in a nearby hill for the production of furnace bricks continuing until the early 1900s, the resulting man-made caves came to be known as the Fireclay Caverns, which contained large openings that measure between 4–12 metres in height from the cave floor. Dinosaur footprints (preserved as infills) were later found in nine different sections of the Caverns, lining the ceiling dated to the Early Jurassic. There is also a community swimming pool, skate park and general playground near the Dee River on Butler St. The town has three pubs, an IGA, and a small general store directly across the street from the camp site. The Grand Hotel is the oldest pub, and is still trading in town.

Macfarlane is a working Merino sheep and beef cattle operation. It is 24,000 acres (9612 hectares). It predominantly open Mitchell grass downs country with a small acreage of Gidgee scrub. We are on the watershed of the lake eyre catchment system with the murray darling on the other side. We have a wide variety of bird life and native animals.Our seasons vary, sometimes it is drought stricken and others lush. Do not assume by looking at lovely green grass photos that it always look like this. We are new to this game so please be patient as we find our way.We offer accommodation at the shearers quarters and camping.Other than at shearing time our quarters lie idle. The quarters are basic with 8 bedrooms. Each room has 2 beds with a mattress, linen is not provided. There is basic showering and toileting facilities. There is a washing machine. The kitchen has fridges and freezers. There is an oven and a cooktop. There is very limited cooking equipment. It is a 500 metre walk to the house dam. It has commanding views of the surrounding countryside.You can camp or park your campervan/RV at the dam. Feel free to pitch your tent here and simply park your camping vehicle and unwind. This site is dependant on seasonal conditions as to whether or not the dam is full or empty. There are toilets, showers and cooking facilities available at our shearers quarters 500 metres away.

Mcdonald's Farm stay is a hobby farm Nestled on 400acres with native Australian bushland. We have goats, sheep, cows' pigs and chooks plus two farm dogs, Sam and Ben, and also our resident cat Tilly. You can join us in feeding the animals the chooks and pigs, sometimes cows and sheep and goats, also egg collecting from our chooks. You can enjoy the surroundings by venturing on the historic World War 1 rifle range track. Be prepared to enjoy wandering and enjoy nature and doing nothing is acceptable too. The army used to bring the diggers out here prior to World War 1 war for practice shooting to keep their eye on the aim. In 1858 alluvial gold was discovered here, 400 miners participated in this gold rush. There are about 30 gold mine sites on this property there are plenty of dry river beads to have a go and pan. Please speak to ken about this. We have a couple of dams here where you can catch freshwater crayfish when the weather is warmer. Warwick is 30 minutes' drive from here if you need anything from town. We are not connected to the main power supply so we rely entirely on solar. Campers supply your own water as we have tank water. Please, feel free to collect your own firewood. We have plenty of secluded campsites near the dam and around the property. If you have a telescope the night sky is a spectacular site. Leslie dam is 20 minutes from here, you need a fishing permit. There is plenty of wildlife here plenty of kangaroos, sugar gliders, possums, bird life Yellow belly, silvered perch are a favoured fish here. Cod can be caught too.

The Croft Horse Trax Oz Blackbutt

Welcome to Blackbutt and the South Burnett Region. We are open again for horse riding and hiking adventures. Camping and relaxing in Blackbutt - The Gateway to the South Burnett. Known for the fantastic outdoor recreation opportunities such as the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and the Bicentennial National Trail both are easily accessible from the property and the Blackbutt trails network 400m up the road. This is a basic outdoor camping experience in the rural residential suburb of Blackbutt North. The HIPCAMP campsites are on a 5 acre block set within 17 acres surrounded by bush blocks. Even though there is heaps of camping space, I have limited the bookings to only 2 powered sites at a time and one unpowered site. The unpowered site can be anywhere on my property. I do also cater for group bookings up to 10 people if it is a horse riding group - but this requires 2 weeks notice and additional fee for hire of toilet facility). I do this for a couple of reasons. First and foremost however, is that I live here for a reason. To enjoy peace and quiet. I want this for those who visit here and I want also to have my peace and quiet even if you are camping! That means no loud music - no blaring lights in my face and no parties! This might sound really boring to some. Well that means you can camp somewhere else. It is about nature, peace and restfulness for everyone. I will do my very best to ensure that you have a peaceful and relaxing time without a heap of other people around. If you want a big camping experience, loud conversations, music and lots of lights that mimic HONG KONG, then maybe the Blackbutt Showgrounds is the place for you. At the Croft you have a few locations to access power. So the sites are varied depending on your needs. Electricity is provided and there is access to drinking water, a composting toilet, fridge and COLD shower in the shed. Self contained however is preferred with a convenient 'dump' site near the showgrounds in town for you to use on your way to your next destination. There is access to rubbish facilities. Breakfast hampers are also available to add to your booking as well as camp oven dinners that you could get on the first night and have sandwiches the rest of the weekend! Horse riders are the main visitors to The Croft as there are safe horse yards and water. Please bring enough feed for them or drop into the Blackbutt Hardware on the way and support our local small businesses. If you bring your own horse and an experienced rider you can book a guided tour or find your way along to the Forestry or to the Bicentennial National Trail which is just a short ride away. Check out the extras if you need a guide for your trail rides or would like to spend time on the obstacle trail course. Green horse trail ride training also available. No loud groups please as this is adjacent to my home and peace and quiet is why I live here. Non smokers ONLY. Other than that please enjoy the space and time away in a very quiet part of the world. There are also lots of birds on the block including kingfishers, wrens, finches and lots more. There is a billabong style dam which horses are most welcome to play in. Pets on leashes welcome as the grounds are fenced but dogs will need to be watched as there are horses on site. The entire 5 acres I have allocated to you my Hipcampers - is dog fenced and if you are here alone they can run free. Note that this is bush - you need to ensure your dogs have tick protection.
