2 nights at Yabba Creek Farm

Me and my two young sons spent two nights in the hidden gym. We loved it. The size of the camp sites are more than adequate. We loved the kayaking and the boys loved the pony rides . Highly recommend .

2 nights at Yabba Creek Farm

Just spent a couple of wonderful days at Yabba Creek. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time. As soon as we drove in we were impressed with how well presented each site is. The grass looked like it belonged on a golf course, and was perfect to set up camp on. It wasn’t long after we had set up camp and the friendly chickens and turkeys came to visit. The kids were even able to pick them up and give them a cuddle. Site 2 has a perfect blend of shade and sunshine which made it easy to keep the batteries charged with solar, while relaxing with a cold one in the shade. I agonised for a while over which site to pick, but you can’t really go wrong at this camp. Each site looked amazing. The free to use kayaks were lots of fun and kept everyone entertained. Excellent mobile coverage also if it’s something you like to have. Our new favourite getaway close to the city. Will definitely be back! Thanks again Dean and Kaylea

Beautiful spot. The sites are beautifully maintained. The kayaks were a great hit. Dean & Kaylea were lovely hosts. Brought round games for the kids, checked daily to see if we needed anything and just generally made us feel welcome. We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Samford Mini Farm & Creek Camping

We camped on sites 6 & 7 with 5 adults & 5 children, the serenity was great, slight road noise but did not bother any of us at all there was a fantastic amount of bird life to listen to that over shone the cars. Kids spent a lot of time either in with the animals (ducklings were my son’s favourite) or swimming in the creek, we took little blow up boats & that was a hit! Cafe food was delicious, Moreton Bay Bugs were soooo good! Then they also had cocktails for $10 at 5pm & again so delicious. Both Steve and Ingrid were both so friendly & approachable. Only thing I’d pick on if I had to was the state of the bathrooms, old & not very clean but I will still be back despite this as the rest of the place was so good 😊

We loved our stay here! The hosts were lovely, the site is beautiful and it’s located so close to everything. We went with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old, and stayed in a tent near the creek. The 2.5 year loved playing in the creek, the petting farm and bouncy castle were also a hit. We loved the on-site cafe, which had delicious food and great coffee. We have already recommended to friends and will definitely be returning.

This place is incredible! The hospitality from Steve and Ingrid was fantastic and we enjoyed our stay with them. The campsites were spacious and the kids loved playing in the creeks and exploring the site. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We loved everything about this place, The cafe is the perfect spot to sit and have a coffee or a bite to eat while you watch the children with the animals, jumping castle and playground. We ate dinner at the cafe on Saturday night and all we could say was wow! The food is sensational and the cocktails went down a treat. Ingrid and Steve should be very proud of what they have created here.

I did a 2 night stay with 3 kids and 2 dogs. The stay was amazing with a lot to do for the kids. The facilities were clean and well maintained. After talking to the owner it seems like this place will only get better. The food was amazing and I would strongly recommend the pancakes. This will be a regular spot for me and my family.

Great spot, quite secluded and close by to Esk/Coominya for any forgotten supplies. Had the two dogs hanging out with us most of the weekend and they were lovely.

Moy Park Camping

Moy Park is our home and our livelihood, we are a working dairy farm that supplies milk to Norco. the camping area is approximately 20ac with the beautiful Mary river along the boundary, perfect for fishing and camping! It is situated in the Mary valley between Kenilworth (8 mins), Eumundi (15mins) and Imbil (12mins). So lots of options to have an adventure, see new things and explore! Sunrises, sunsets and night skies are unforgettable! The river water levels depend on rainfall and run off. We have 4 sites here just above the river bank, if these are fully booked check Moy Park Sky Paddock. Fire pits are at all sites and camp fires are to be kept to the fire pits supplied only. There is plenty of dead wood and debris for fires and locals selling bagged firewood nearby. No burning of any rubbish, especially cans and glass. IMPORTANT please note, we do NOT have amenities or drinking water. You need to be self sufficient and bring your own shower/toilet, and take with you ALL waste. The road to the campsite currently is only grass, when dry it is 2WD accessible, so 4WD is best. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and must be cleaned up after. As we are a working dairy we are happy to trial having dogs here.

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Maluka Park

Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other. During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected). To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.
