The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes.
Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums.
The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience.
A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals.
Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply.
A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use.

Stunning sunrises and sunsets and all within walking distance of Lowood shops along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which stretches for nearly 1km along the boundary. Situated halfway between Fernvale and Coominya makes this an ideal stop on your BVRT adventure or is ideal for a quick getaway being only an hour or so from Brisbane CBD.

Camp Spot 3 is a great flat spot to set up camp on tucked away in the bush. The views of the mountains in the distance make for a good back drop while you’re sitting back at camp, Daniel was a great host to deal with we will definitely be back sometime in the future.

What a great spot, private and plenty of space! Helpful to have toilets and the shower too!! The kitchen was good especially for washing up. An absolute bonus to have a solar set with battery so we could charge our devices!! John was super helpful with heaps of local knowledge. We are looking forward to going back again!!

Camp Site 1 is a fantastic campsite with a really spacious, large area, plenty of room to spread out! It's fairly accessible for all vehicle types, especially in dry conditions. I spent a few nights here and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend for anyone passing through!

Fantastic little spot! It really feels like you're miles away from the world, deep in the bush. The site was tidy and clearly well-maintained. The host was excellent with communication, and the directions were easy to follow. You'd probably struggle to access Camp 3 without a 4x4, though. Will definitely be visiting again!

We had a fantastic 2-night, 3-day stay at this peaceful property in Lowood, hosted by the wonderful Lynette and Lauren. This is the ideal spot for true off-grid camping.
Important Note on Facilities: This is a primitive camp, meaning there are no shower or toilet facilities. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, but if you're prepared, the reward is pure quiet and space.
What it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in space and charm. There is plenty of open land and the entire experience was incredibly relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was easy and seamless.
The absolute highlight was the friendly resident horses! We highly recommend you pack carrots and apples to make some new friends.
For restocking supplies like wood and ice, the town of Lowood is only a quick 5-minute drive away. We highly recommend this spot for a peaceful, hassle-free getaway.

I really enjoyed my solo camping at Site 3!
It’s a nice private spot with good distance from the next site. The ground is well kept and pretty flat, so setting up a tent was easy. Hardly any cow poo around since the cows are fenced off. Access is easy too — though I’d recommend a 4WD.
Only downside is it’s quite open, so it can get windy with nowhere to hide.
Overall, I loved it and would definitely give it 5 stars!

I stayed at site 3 which is up on a hill and felt very safe and secluded. Beautiful grassy area with lots of trees about, not a building in sight. Heaps of firewood around if you wanted a fire and a fire pit is provided.
The track to the site 2 and 3 is a bit steep in one section, access was fairly easy but wouldn’t drive a Corolla to these sites, site 1 has super easy access.

Great spot for a few quiet nights away. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The place has everything you would need, camp kitchen with sink connected to water, gas burner and a table under a roof. Hot showers and toilets (composting). Short walk down to the beach.
Perfect time of the year also, watching whales, dolphins and catching fish daily.
Easy enough to get to as the entrance was washed away. John sent through directions and a map.
Would camp here again!!!

Beautiful, secluded spot just a short drive from the City. Stunning land with ample room to explore and abundant bird life to enjoy. The sites are spread apart so far you wouldn't know that others are there. Daniel is super friendly and helpful, and the goats and cows are cute as hell. Will definitely be back- a great spot for a last minute escape from the city.
