Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.

Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.

Option 2:

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.

What an unbelievable location! Only 5 mins outside of Beaudesert but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. We had heaps of space and privacy, literally could only see the main house about 300m away. Hot shower and toilet. The wildlife was incredible, horses, alpacas, roosters etc and guests have the opportunity to feed them.
Guy was a wonderful host, very accommodating and replied straight away.

We had such an amazing weekend here! My boyfriend Rod and I absolutely fell in love with this place. You can truly feel how much love and care has been put into designing and maintaining every single detail — everything is just perfect.

We loved our spot on Curtain Fig Drive. Wished we could have stayed longer. Guy and his daughter were very hospitable and the instructions to access the property were very thorough. Having the shower and toilet was an added bonus.

Nice big level campsite all neatly mowed. Fantastic country with lots of nice walks. The kids loved the animals and Guy was super helpful and a great host.

I visited this place again with a friend. They always welcomed us, and they were still incredibly kind.
The bathrooms were clean, and the shower water was hot—very satisfying as always.
I think it would be peaceful and really nice to stay here long-term.

We love Bares Hideaway!
This was our second visit.
The amenities are some of the best we've used hipcamping. The goats are a delight! We met and fed Smudge in 2025 (much to our kids delight!). There are pigs to checkout, and in 2025 they had a heap of piglets.
The site is open and great flat grass areas for camping.
Paul comes around with the option to buy firewood and give any advise or assist daily (which is super helpful if you haven't been here before).
It's only 1hr from Brisbane but feels like a world away.

Good campings for a little bit noisy but that's fine there was three kayaks there so that was good the only thing is couldn't find any firewood and I didn't want to pay for firewood if I couldn't bring my own firewood onto the property
